Letar du efter den perfekta familjen getaway? Då är detta vackra hem vid sjön Hartwell det för dig! Välvda tak med massor av fönster ger fantastisk utsikt över sjön från huset eller de två täckta däcken. Den öppna köksplanen har ett bord med åtta platser bekvämt och ett bord på däck precis utanför fyra platser till. Tallgolv och tak i vardagsrummet, tillsammans med den staplade sten spis ger huset en berg känsla men det är bara en kort, enkel promenad till bryggan.

Det stora sovrummet på husets huvudnivå har utsikt över sjön, en king size-säng, TV med satellit och privat badrum. Ett bonusrum (utrustat med en enkelsäng med spjäll) och ett halvt badrum finns också på huvudnivån. Det stora öppna vardagsrummet har utsikt över sjön, en drottning bäddsoffa och 46 tums TV med satellit- och DVD / VCR-spelare. Och WiFi.

På övervåningen finns två sovrum, ett badrum och ett stort loftområde med gott om plats för en luftmadrass. Ett sovrum har våningssängar med en dubbel på botten och singel på toppen och det andra sovrummet har en queen size-säng. Oavslutad källare har ett bordtennisbord för de sällsynta regniga dagarna.

Dubbeldäcksdockan ligger i början av en lugn vik som gör det möjligt för barn att leka säkert i vattnet. Bryggan har också en enkel båtslipp, baddäck och täckt område på toppdäcket. Vi erbjuder också 2 kajaker för gäster att använda. Ägarens båt är på en hiss i slipen men det finns gott om plats för ytterligare två båtar på vardera sidan av bryggan.

Det är bara en kort bilresa till Harbor Light Marina (där du kan hyra båtar och vattenskoter) eller till Tugaloo State Park som har ett strandområde, picknickområde, minigolf och andra bekvämligheter. Toccoa Falls och shopping i Toccoa ligger bara 15 minuters bilresa från huset. Helen Georgia ligger mindre än en timmes bilresa bort med massor av unika restauranger, butiker och andra aktiviteter inklusive ett vattenpark och flodrör.

Excellent House for Our Family

The House was just the right size and layout for the 9 of us. 6 adults and 3 kids ages 10 and 11. The kitchen is well stocked and the house was very clean. The basement is beautiful and perfect for hanging out and playing games. Our property manager was very responsive. The dock and location on Lake was great. No fast boats zooming by. We would stay again.

The lake was a huge hit

Our girls loved the lake after being on the scorching softball field all day! The interior was beautiful especially the basement! All around good stay!

Better than advertised!

House is so much better than the listing and pictures show- lots of areas for groups to gather. Great big square dining table for everyone to pull up to and the game/big tv room is fabulous. We always worry about the swim area off a dock- this one is deep and clean and we swam even at night. We usually don't repeat visits but we'll choose this one again. And the owner answered every email- impressive.

Hidden Gem

We have family friends that live on Lake Hartwell and we have always visited over the 4th but I’ve recently remarried and we needed another house for our growing family. This place was so awesome that we had a hard time deciding where to gather! Great rooms. Great layout. Game room was a big hit with teens!

Fun House!

We stayed here with our parents and 4 children during a local family reunion. The kids loved the double decker dock, kayaks, and game room. Only issue was the excessive spider webs on the dock and dead bugs on the basement level. Nothing a good vacuum and broom can’t handle and it didn’t ruin anyone’s time.

Family Group Weekend Trip

House was nice and clean. The basement remodel is looking great. We overall had a great time however. The terrain from the house to the boat dock is very rough. It’s a natural path with lots of tree roots and other obstacles. Sadly one of our older guest tripped over a tree root on the way back up to the house fell and broke to metatarsal bones in her foot. I would suggest making the path safer for guest in the future. What was a fun weekend turned into what will now be an expensive aftercare.

What a hidden jewel!

The owner was friendly and communication was fast and easy. The home is located on a quiet cove on Lake Hartwell. Great for floating. The home and amenities worked well for all ages. We would enjoy staying there again.

Awesome dock for hanging out all day!

Great weekend get away with the teens. Dock was great for those who wanted to hang out with everyone but didn’t want sun. The top is half shaded which was great. Great location on a quiet cove.

Great getaway

Dock experience was excellent. The house is very nice but could use a little tlc. Furnishing was a little dated. Hosts were extremely nice. They left a s’mores kit. The propane tank was empty so we had to refill out of personal expense. Though in the rules, I feel this should be rethought as I don’t believe asking for a working grill is too much.

Great lake house to celebrate a birthday

Very happy with our stay at the property. Comfortably fit all the members of our family. Great location with an excellent dock. Quiet cove was great for swimming and enjoying the dock. Nice part of the lake. Will definitely look to rent again!

Late summer getaway

Needed a weekend away after a long summer mostly in our own home. Found the home to be well equipped for our family with toddlers. Bonus room across from master great for babies, well equipped kitchen for cooking just about anything, excellent dock for sitting or pulling up boats or kayaks. Enjoyed and would stay again!

Short getaway trip with kids

This was a much needed getaway before school starts, especially since we haven’t traveled at all this summer due to Covid. The house fit our needs. The bed linens were clean and cute - each room had its own theme. The upstairs bedroom with the bunk has super squeaky mattresses so our 12 & 13 year old girls had to get theIr wiggles out early to avoid waking each other up in the night. The other upstairs bedroom was perfect for our 15 year old daughter, and the 3 girls shared the full bathroom, which worked out great- they loved the rubber ducky decor! The small “extra” bedroom downstairs with the twin bed was great for our 17 year old son, and the master bedroom was perfectly comfortable for us parents! We enjoyed the deck - did some fishing and lots of swimming/floating. Didn’t make the effort to carry the kayaks down, but we did rent a pontoon for a day which was great! We had lots of rain - but luckily no thunderstorms so it didn’t stop us from enjoying the lake. We were happy to have the ping pong table - we had many competitions throughout our stay. Just a few things that would have changed our overall impression to this home... 1 - we wished someone had come through a day or two before our arrival to clear out the massive cobwebs in the game room, on the decks, and on the dock. Not hard to knock them down, but would have been nice to not have that task at the start of our vacation. We knocked down the ones that we couldn’t ignore, and left the rest. Also, were greeted by several big spiders in the bathrooms, and a couple (thankfully dead!) big bugs on the carpeted stairs and living room floor. Again, not a huge deal - there are bound to be bugs in the woods- but just a quick walkthrough before our arrival and we would’ve possibly never seen any the rest of our stay. 2- the game room would be so awesome if you just upgraded it a little! Finish off the drywall, get rid of the nasty carpet remnants (they were wet and have brown stains on them! The kids cringed every time a ping pong ball hit the floor and they had to retrieve it!),a small sofa or a few chairs & a small table would make it nice for a group to hang out and watch rather than sitting on the stairs, some better lighting, and some fun lake decor could make a huge difference! 3- The kitchen is well stocked, but could use another frying pan or two. There is really only one that is usable. None of these things affected our good time, but they would be appreciated!

House met our needs but in need of some TLC

So, the property just feels "tired". For example, the dock furniture was ripped, mis-matched, and just worn out. The stairs leading to the dock were spongy and felt like they may break under the weight of stepping on them. Going from the house to the dock, there were several large pine trees that had been cut down and just left, presumably to rot, rather than being removed. The furniture in the house was fine, though dated. One of the stranger things was the porch aluminium chairs. It appeared that somebody had randomly taken an angle grinder to the arms of all of the chairs. It's not like the chairs were rusted, as they are aluminium. Strange. On the plus side, the kitchen was well equipped with all of the things we needed to make meals.

Tranquil lakehouse

Very quiet cove, excellent spot for a quick getaway to decompress and enjoy nature. Thank you Chad for an excellent stay. We hope to return again.

My wife and I got married in 1997 and have lived in Athens GA. for most of our lives. Our children are Peyton (20) and Tristan (15). I am a real estate invester and my wife works for the University doing training. We love to travel, snow ski, scuba dive and just hang out at the lake.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We chose to buy our house at the lake because we loved the area and it is only a 1 hour drive from our house in Athens. Lake Hartwell is a beautiful lake with a feel of being in the foothills. Fishing is great and it is such a large lake so there is plenty to explore.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Our house is convient to I-85 and easy to get to from Atlanta. There are parks nearby and plenty to explore. Our dock has a party deck and can accomidate a large family compfortably. It is in a wooded area that allows for plenty of privacy.
