3Br / 3Ba hemma i den skuggiga sjöfarten, kort promenad till både stranden och sjöfartsmarknaden. Huset är omgivet av vackra levande ekar och sabala palmer, och har en utomhusdusch, två golfbilar, en veranda med gungstolar, en ryggskärm i veranda med matbord och rockers och en öppen planlösning med två stora sovrum nere och en på övervåningen. Hemmet är utrustat med allt du behöver för din semester, inklusive tv-apparater, dvd-skivor, Wii-U, spel och pussel, en rekordspelare och gott om rekord, boogiebrädor, solstolar, cyklar och en stor hundkista om du tar med din hund och han måste vara crated medan du är ute.

Ett medlemskap till Bald Head Island Club är fäst vid huset, och kan hyras för gästanvändning mot en extra avgift. The Bald Head Island Club erbjuder elegant mat, en vacker privat golfbana, en nyligen uppdaterad pool, krocket, tennis och ett gym.

Bald Head Island är ingen unik och avkopplande destination utan bilar och inga folkmassor. Tillgänglig endast med passagerarfartyg, denna ö är en sann pärla. Huset kommer med två fyra personer golfbilar och 4 helt nya cyklar! Besök orörda stränder, klättra upp till toppen av den historiska Gamla Baldy fyren, eller cykla runt öns trädkapade vägar. Stoppa för en drink med utsikt över småbåtshamnen och äta på vattnet. När du väl besöker, vill du återvända!

This was a fantastic stay! House was very clean, golf carts worked great, host was super communicative and helpful! Loved the location, close to the beach and market but also secluded enough that it was very peaceful in the evening. Hoping we can stay here again next time we visit the island!

Perfect Oasis on a magical island

The house was just lovely and perfect for our Spring Break trip. It has everything you need and is walking or golf cart close to grocery store, coffee, shops, and restaurants.The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well appointed for cooking ‘at home’.A couple of things that were absolutely not deal breakers for us but may be to some others. One of the golf carts does have a fair amount of mildew/mold damage on the seats. It was great to have and we just laid blankets/towels down on it but if there’s any sensitivity to it it’s a good heads up.Checkout can be interesting if you’re not taking the early ferry out because a 10am checkout means that the tram will pick you up between 8:45-9:15, so you’re not really getting to experience that last day/morning on the island. With that said, they were accommodating and let us use the golf cart until 11, but we had some back and forth luggage drop off trips to harbor (tram won’t allow you to be picked up early as reservations align to ferry schedule).Overall we would definitely consider the house and hosts again!

Perfect for small families.

Location was about midway between the ends of the island, off Muscadyne Way, closest to South Beach and walkable to the nearest beach access. Short ride to market, restaurants and shops. Maritime forest area, so shady but minimal breeze. Other cottages very close but screened by vegetation. A few minor issues but host responded quickly. Perfect for family with small kids. Very comfortable. Pet friendly with prior approval. Would stay again.

Cozy cottage

Nestled nicely on quiet forest street and conveniently right down the road from the market and Jailhouse restaurant. The house could use some updates but it was overall comfortable for a long weekend stay . The owner was easy to communicate with and accommodating .

We enjoyed a week of island time at this great location! The home is an easy walk to the beach & short cart ride to the market. We loved the decor & bedroom sizes & layouts. Beautiful home nestled under live oaks & palms. Highly recommend & we hope to be back!

Good overall but needs a bit more attention to detail

Very clean place with great location and wonderful host. Check in and out was very easy. Not an overall perfect rating because needs some updates. Blinds have broken hardware and some were rusty. One golf cart has lots of mildew. Description said it would have playstation 4 and keurig. Should have checked before bringing K-cups and games..... Overall, though, it was a clean and comfortable place!

Easy stay for Senior parents

The house was great, well maintained. Great location, two minutes from the beach, we could hear the ocean at night. Long ramp and two large bedrooms on the first floor worked perfectly for my senior parents. What a blessing.

We love this house

This was our second time staying at this house and it was just as special as the first. The seclusion is unlike any other. The two golf carts are great. And it’s in a convenient location on the island, close to the market, wine bar, and jailhouse restaurant. It is close to beach accesses as well. Kris, the host, is incredibly responsive, understanding, and just flat out awesome. Can’t recommend this house enough. We love Bald Head Island, and this house is a large part of the reason why.

Great location, peaceful and close to the beach

Our stay was very relaxing, quiet home, close to the beach, fun for families! We enjoyed the beach, fishing, riding bikes and home-made and take-out meals on the screened in porch. The home is quite comfortable, we enjoyed the island wildlife, and appreciated having the dog along for the trip.

Beach Getaway

Fantastic spot at Bald Head Island- short distance to the beach or market. Property owner communicated promptly when needed. Property had all the amenities we wanted or needed, lovely shaded lot.

This is the best house we’ve ever rented on the island. Perfect location, close to beach, in the maritime forest, close to the market. Seriously the best location. Place was spotlessly clean, and the host was quick to help when needed. Hope to stay here again and again.

Perfect location

We loved our stay at Sheltering Oaks. The location was perfect for going to the beach and getting to the market. We loved how it was nestled in off the road. It is a very cozy home. We will be back.

Peaceful Trip

This property is in a good location near South beach, a restaurant & coffee place. We had a great time! We walked to the beach, had breakfast & dinner on the screened in back porch which was nice. We also shopped at the various stores on the island & at the dockside store too. We slept well & enjoyed the house & trip so much. Our dogs enjoyed it too. We didn't have to climb steps at all to sleep or enter the house which we liked. We had no one sleeping upstairs but that was available if needed. Overall a very nice quiet culdesac area & awesome vacation!

Beautiful, central, private spot

Perfectly located near the only market on the island and a quick cart ride to the beach. The house is clean, comfortable, and felt quiet and private amongst the palms. The host was very responsive to any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect, peaceful, quiet, secluded honeymoon getaway

We chose to rent here for a few days after our wedding. It was the perfect opportunity to rest. The home offered so much privacy, and seclusion. Communication with Kris was excellent and she could not have made our experience any better.
