We had a lovely stay at this cute little property in Boulder. The location was perfect — easy access to everywhere in Boulder, walking distance to Pearl Street Mall, and a short 60-minute drive to Estes Park! The owner was super responsive and great to work with. A couple of things we were surprised by (and perhaps they were in the listing but we didn't read it closely enough): 1. The property is on the third floor, so if you're carrying heavy luggage, like we were, those steps can be awfully steep! Probably no biggie for a college student, but for older ladies like us, it was a bit of a hike with a 50-pound suitcase. 2. There is no central air! I'm not sure how I missed this. The property does have two portable units, but they only helped when we sat right in front of them. Probably most of the year, this isn't an issue, but we were in this west-facing condo on a hot summer day, and it was almost too hot to sleep. 3. Finally, and this was almost a deal-breaker for us, the sheets and towels were doused in fabric softener. For anyone with scent sensitivities, you'll be greeted with this smell the second you walk in the door. We ended up buying new (fluffier) pillows at Target along with our own pillowcases, but for future guests, I'd recommend washing linens in a scent-free detergent and passing up the fabric softener. Other than those things, though, this property is super cute, (though definitely in need of a little TLC, like patching up nail holes, and putting a screen on the kitchen window). It was like going back to college for the weekend, though — such a fun blast from the past.
