Lovely place two blocks from beach and walking distance to shops (super close) and Newport pier (leas than 15 min walk). Home is very clean and comfortable for our family of four including two teens.

We loved this home

We had a wonderful stay and loved the home. It had everything we needed for our family of 4. There are plenty of towels and beach stuff. And you are just a short walk to the beach. Also, the grocery store is a 5 minute walk away. We hope to stay here again in the future!

Perfect for Family

We stayed here for a week and it was great for our family of 3. Everything was very clean and well kept. Plenty of towels and linens provided, well stocked kitchen with utensils and supplies. We loved having the in unit washer and dryer so we didn’t have to pack as much for our stay. We had an issue with the neighbors doing construction late at night and the owner was really helpful and quick to handle the issue. We had a large truck so it didn’t fit in the garage and was hard to find street parking at times but that wouldn’t prevent us from booking again.

Wonderful beach house-excellent location!

Such a beautiful beach house with excellent location to the beach and restaurants and shops! Decorated very cute, and clean home. Plenty of room for 6-8 with spacious rooms. The only thing I would recommend is an extra foam topper for the couch hide-a-bed. As the metal frame felt like it was digging in our backs. But other than that-would definitely stay there again!

Amazing Time

Me and my fiance really enjoyed this house and the location of it. We loved that we could walk to the beach and even walk to grocery store/restaurants from the house. We highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to have a relaxing week or weekend at the beach.

Perfect Beach Vacation!

This location was ideal for our family of 4. The hosts were wonderful communicators. Everything was exactly as described. The house was immaculately clean. All of the linens were fresh and comfortable. We loved the beach chairs, umbrella, and wagon. It made the short walk to the beach a breeze. The location was close to the beach, but not right in the middle of the crowds, so we could enjoy quiet evenings sitting on the front patio after dinner. The garage was a key factor in choosing this location. I could not have handled the stress of finding parking every time we went somewhere! So many dining choices within walking distance, and the grocery store is right around the corner. We definitely look forward to staying here again!

Weekend getaway

The property was wonderful. As stated in other reviews -the garage is small but we were able to fit a van in it. We had a delightful weekend steps away from the beach.

Great place! Will stay again.

The place was exceptionally clean, professional, and well stocked with things like linens, towels and beach accessories. Would have liked a few body boards to take to the beach, so maybe that’s something that could be added in the future. And the garage is crazy small so the smaller your car, the better. Other than that, we LOVED our stay. The location was perfect—2 minute walk to the beach and close to lots of great restaurants and a shopping center with a grocery store. Communication with the host was great too. Would love to stay here again next year. Thank you!

Perfect for a family of 4

Great location, perfect property for 2 adults and 2 kids. Parking space just fit our 4Runner (make sure you don't have a roof basket) which was a huge perk considering how hard it is to find street parking. Having a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a washer & dryer were perfect amenities. We would 100% rent again!

We Didn't Want To Leave!

The pictures of this beach house do not do it justice. But I'm getting ahead of myself. First, the communication with the property owner Kristy was terrific. She was responsive to my questions. She had quick solutions and suggestions. She offered up tips and was just a delight to work with on this stay. Now, the house. As soon as we walked in I felt so happy with how peaceful the place felt. It's decorated with such intention and the pops of color provided by the art on the walls, the bedding, and the textiles really made for a happy impression. The location is entirely perfect. It is exactly 2 short blocks from the beach and so close to the supermarket and some restaurants that we didn't need the car once it was safely tucked into the included parking garage. It was a tight fit for my Jeep Grand Cherokee, so be advised. Additionally, there's a little park nearby that our kids enjoyed. The beach right by the house is a perfect stretch with people of all ages hanging out but it was not at all packed like some beaches and it was clean and provided an awesome spot for watching the sunset. The main bedroom had a super comfy bed and the bunks were fulls instead of twins so it was a nice surprise. Everything we needed was in the house. Ample amounts of towels in the bathrooms, which were very nice (the tub is awesome), and in the kitchen. The Barbecue at the front was brand new. There were sand toys in the garage, beach chairs, and even a wagon. Everyone had such fun! Book it!

Newport Beach cottage

We are an older couple one of us is handicapped. The cottage is great for younger people. We found the throw rugs a trip hazard. The bathroom didn’t have any grab bars. The master bathroom has a large step down and wouldn’t consider using that bathroom at night for fear of tripping on it. That would not be an issue for most people. We parked the car in the garage and walked everywhere. I love that the cottage is so close to everything.

Great property, great location

Six of us (three adult couples) spent four nights here in mid-September. It was perfect. Exactly what we hoped for, and exactly what you see in the photos. Very comfortable, great neighborhood, five minute walk to the beach...just amazing. The owners were in constant contact and very accommodating. We read other reviews complaining about the cat smell from next door, but it really wasn't an issue for us (smelled it walking by the neighbor's house, but that's about it). Will definitely book again!

good ...but bad flies and urine smell

This property is in a great location close to everything. Owners were very easy to work with. There were 2 things I would have changed. 1st crazy cat lady next door. The cats urinate in the alley next to the house so there is a constant urine smell and TONS of flies because of the urine. This makes it so you can not sit on the patio unless you don't mind 100s of flies and can not open any windows on the East side of the house because of the smell. The owner was aware of this and tried to have the alley cleaned but it did not help. Just bummed to pay so much and not able to enjoy the patio or fresh air. Also look closely at the bathroom description of Master bathroom ...there is NO shower only a tub. There are 2 bathrooms but all 6 of us had to shower in the small 2nd bathroom. ...overall the stay was fine I just wanted any future renters to know about the flies and smell because I wish I had known before I got there

Excellent Property in Newport Beach

We spent 2 weeks in this home and it was wonderful! We arrived after a late flight - Nick and Kristy had left cookies, popcorn, coffee, creamer, etc. We were spending the holidays, so they decorated for Christmas, left us a Christmas message on a chalkboard, supplied us with Christmas plates and napkins, and left us a beautiful ornament for remembering our Christmas in Newport Beach. During our stay, they checked in with us, responded to questions, and even left us a hot chocolate gift on our doorstep. We couldn't have asked for more attentive owners. The home is extremely clean and well equipped. We had plenty of linens, cookware, and laundry/cleaning supplies. During our stay, Nick and Kristy arranged to have the home cleaned and the linens exchanged. It was wonderful! We had no problems with the small garage --- we rented a Nissan Sentra for our stay --- and we were glad to have a garage, as street parking is limited. The location is excellent. We spent a lot of time walking down the beachfront path to the Newport Pier. Just past the pier is a playground that our children loved to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Nick and Kristy for making our stay memorable!

Our New Favorite Place Near The Beach

We just returned from a week in Balboa and had a lovely stay. The house was so comfortable and just a few blocks from the beach. I loved the well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. We enjoyed several evening meals at home - it was actually so comfortable we didn't want to go out to eat. There were so many thoughtful touches that made our stay complete, from a jar of cookies waiting for us when we arrived to plenty of towels and shampoo to use. We loved our stay and can't wait to return soon.

Weekend getaway

We spent a relaxing weekend in this adorable two bed, two bath bungalow. I was really impressed with the cleanliness and responsive host. We also appreciated things such as cooking spray, salt and pepper, extra blankets, and beach accessories. I’ll definitely be coming back here!
