Njut av en 270 graders utsikt över Swannanoa & Craggy Mountains från denna vackra två-enhet bergsbyggnad byggd 2007. 100% asfalterad vägåtkomst w / parkering för 4 bilar. Privat ingång och alla utrymmen privata, perfekt för familjer. Gästerna har tillgång till hela den nedre enheten. Alla rum är fullt möblerade; sovrummet innehåller king size-säng och badrum, andra sovrummet har en drottning och en full säng. Fullt möblerat kök och apparater som är välfyllda med nästan allt man skulle behöva laga / underhålla. Stort vardagsrum och matsal har ett öppet koncept: matsal med plats för 6, vardagsrum med maträtt / tv, wifi, drottning bäddsoffa, kortbord, böcker och spel. Det fullt utrustade tvättstugan innehåller en tvättmaskin och torktumlare. Stor täckt uteplats för att njuta av de underbara soluppgångarna och solnedgångarna i Bee Tree & Swannanoa River Valley och är perfekt för grillning ut. Privat asfalterad uppfart kan parkera 4 fordon.

Närhet till: downtown Asheville 11 miles; Biltmore Village 10 miles, Black Mountain 7 miles; Blue Ridge Parkway 6 miles; otaliga fritidsaktiviteter är lätt inom en timmes bilresa och några ligger några minuter bort; belägen mellan två bryggerier (Pisgah & Highland) och många fler med en 10 mil bilresa.

Värdar är alltid tillgängliga via meddelandeprogram, text, cell och ofta på plats. Vi är ivriga utomhusfolk och vet om många rekreationsmöjligheter i regionen, fråga bara. Vi har också mycket kartor och böcker i området i vår personliga samling som vi kan låna ut.

Det omgivande grannskapet består främst av ensamstående pensionärer. Det är väldigt lugnt och fridfullt. Det kan vara lite lätt konstruktion under normala öppettider, men det är ganska långt borta och knappt märkbart.

Great spot

Nice view off the front patio, great for us because we didn’t need to be in Asheville, but close enough if you need/want to go. Easy check in/out process. I guess technically it is a basement/ground floor apartment in a larger house, but doesn’t really feel like it. Spacious and lots of windows. Would stay again.

Nice basement, mother-in-law suite, limited views. Not quite what we hoped for.

The "house" is actually the basement of the owners house. It is set up and furnished very nicely. Mostly private - you can hear the owners upstairs. Difficult driveway experience due to a very tight turn required to get into the downstairs driveway. And the view from the property has houses and telephone lines in the bottom 50% of the view.

Nice, Quiet Place, Warm and Friendly Hosts

We spent 10 days here at this place, and we were pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness, the amenities, and the warmth of the location. It's a short drive to Asheville, and you get a nice view of the mountains. There is a hillside front yard that is fantastic for the kids--our kids ran out there almost every day, up and down the hill. There are all kinds of amenities provided, and we really enjoyed the space. Kristian was kind enough to offer a bicycle when I asked for one. He was also very prompt to answer any questions I had. The only quibble we have is that the description said something like you get the run of the house. What you actually get is the bottom floor. Now, each floor has its own entrance, and we never actually saw the hosts, but given the description and the pictures we thought it would be the whole house. What this also means is that we often heard footsteps above us, during the day and in the night. I myself didn't mind, but my wife is very sensitive to this kind of noise, especially if someone upstairs dropped something on the floor late at night. All in all, I would recommend this place, I would go back, but I think it should be clear to anyone looking to stay here that you do not get the whole house, just the bottom floor (which is plenty spacious in itself).

Awesome Retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains

I highly recommend this property to anyone needing some time away with fresh air and mountain views! The place was so clean and spacious (please know that this a basement rental, but you would never know it, except for the occasional pitter patter of footsteps as the owners do live above the property). The property felt very private as you have your own driveway and entrance. Just be aware that the driveway is steep and does take some maneuvering, but you get the hang of it quick! The kitchen is bigger in person than in the pictures and the place has a mixture of modern updates and a country vibe. I did love the fireplace as it helped make it feel cozy! The owners were very attentive and responsive! Overall, I highly recommend staying here. Thank you for making our family winter vacation that much better. Happy New Year!

Not as expected

I was not aware that the property owner would be staying above us the entire time. It was not very apparent in the description that we would only have the bottom half of the property nor that the owner would stay above during the time we had booked. So, I think that the description be changed to adjust this as well as alert guests. Other than that, the property was well kept. One thing I will also note was that it was hard to find ubers/lyfts into town after 6PM. Most drivers don't want to go that far which made it hard transporting back and forth.

Nice Getaway

We enjoyed our trip and the owners were very flexible in check in and check out. Bed was comfortable and amenities were accurate online. Since this is a basement rental, the owners live upstairs. When they are home, you can hear them walk above you.

Delightful Home!

We were three women in Asheville for a girls weekend. The house was great! It was relaxing & quiet (except when the owners were home - could hear them walking upstairs). Location was good - close to Asheville and hiking. I would certainly stay again.

Very nice, would stay again.

All the rooms were spacious and comfortable for our four adults. The view of the morning fog dissipating over the mountains from the front patio is spectacular - enjoyed best with a cup of coffee.

Great Experience Overall

The experience was a delight overall. The home has amazing views and the parents of the homeowners were amazing. It is important to note that this property is shared and the owners live upstairs with the cutest little kiddos. Please be prepared for a very loud experience of the pitter patter of little feet. I didn't mind it because I have kids, but if you are looking for a quiet romantic getaway, it is important to note that the owners are upstairs with little ones and you are able to hear most of the steps upstairs. Also, in the winter, I hear that NC has a lot of ladybugs in the house - I was not prepared for that at all...it wasn't 1 or 2...by every window there was 10 or 20 when you wake up, some in the bathrooms and some on the floor (so walking barefooted in the house is totally fine but be prepared for a couple of those being part of your foot apparel. :) Overall - I would stay here again in a moment...the place is organized and great...and the view is fantastic....the only thing that freaked me out were all the ladybugs.

I grew up in south Florida, and went to college there. My wife and I met in Asheville in 2000. We went to graduate school and lived in Arkansas until we moved back here in 2017.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We moved back to the Asheville area to be closer to family and to take advantage of all the outdoor recreation. We wanted a house with an in-law suite for when our parents need it. Until then we are renting it out on VRBO.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

If I live in the mountains, I need to see them. This house delivers the view in spades. We live here year round and didn't want to be on top of the mountains with steep, curvy, gravel roads. We access our house in all seasons and it is paved the entire way. I love watching the weather interact with the Swannanoa mountains and the Swannanoa River Valley. It is always breath taking.
