Kona Mauna Kai är en fungerande gård i sluttningarna av Mauna Loa på den stora ön Hawaii. Mauna Kai betyder berg och hav och det är exakt vad du får på vår gård. 180 graders utsikt över den vackra Kona-kusten.
På gården odlar vi avokado, macadamianötter och Kona-kaffe, apelsiner, citroner, limefrukter, mandariner, bananer, guava, loquat och många fler, det finns alltid färska råvaror under säsongen. Promenera genom fruktträdgårdarna och se vad som blommar.
Bondgårdsstugan har en fantastisk 180 graders utsikt över den vackra Kona-kusten. Njut av middag i den svala fjällluften medan du tittar på den fantastiska solnedgången. Se upp på de lysande stjärnorna och koppla av i en solstol. Gå på marken och njut av tropiska blommor och planteringar. Du kanske till och med ser fasanfamiljen göra sina rundor eller de vilda kalkonerna som mossar igenom.
The Farmhouse stuga kan sova 2. Helt renoverad för maximal komfort i en tropisk gård. Helt separerat från ägarhuset med egen ingång och vacker täckt Lanai veranda.
Kona Mauna Kai är perfekt beläget för att njuta av öns södra ände. Bara 33 miles till den svarta sandstranden i Punalu’u. Bara 32 mil från den gröna sandstranden vid Papakolea. Honomalino Beach 6 miles från gården.
Det är också ett utmärkt ställe att stanna och vila mellan Kona och Hilo innan du går till ditt nästa äventyr.
I närheten ligger Pebble Beach, Hookena Beach Park och den gamla fiskebyn Millolii.

Cool farm retreat!

This was such a a fun place to stay! We loved all the animal ( geckos, chameleons, and birds). It was also fun to walk the grounds and find fresh fruit! The house was located in a nice spot close to a several hikes and beaches.

Great Farm Atmosphere

We had a great time here! The accommodations were exactly what we were looking for, rural and central to the entire island experience the way we wanted to experience it. The hosts were awesome! Would highly recommend this VRBO

Great taste of Rural Hawaii

Nice working farm. Well manicured property, with a great ocean view. Its is a good (slow) distance on a winding road, to any activities. It is a good location for west side activities and access to the Volcano National Park.

Gorgeous setting

What a stunningly beautiful location! It was hard to leave the covered porch with the unobstructed view of the ocean and the serenading by birds and assorted wildlife. We got to enjoy fresh avocados grown on the property, which added to the delight.

Wonderful views!

Host is right next door and lovely - met us, let us in and showed us the place. Views are incredible. Great little farm, fresh fruit awaited us, as did lovely Pipi the cat. Bed was comfy. Nice shower. Enjoyed all the farm animals and native birds flying around. Would stay again.

Authentic Hawaiin Hideaway

This property encapsulates the Hawaiin spirit - beautiful wildflowers, fruit trees, animals, song birds with a view of the ocean. Away from people, yet not far from Kona, the Black Sand beach or National Park. We loved It here. The owners picked a fresh bouquet of flowers for us and oranges from their trees.

Hidden Gem

We booked our stay at the cottage knowing that we would be off the beaten path. And it was the perfect location with the most gracious host, beautiful views, and cozy atmosphere. Not to mention the freshly roasted mac nuts and organic produce waiting for us. We hope to come back again soon!

Great Stay

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. Host was responsive and easy to communicate with. House was great with an amazing view. Their pets were friendly and always welcomed us back to the house. Would definitely recommend this place.

Fabulous!

The cottage is comfortable, the location is peaceful, and the view is amazing! We had a great time and we highly recommend this if you prefer to stay somewhere outside of the crowded, touristy areas.

Farm in South Hawaii

Delightful and cozy little home on a small organic farm was a perfect contrast to the usual resort stay. The seclusion and morning views of the ocean were wonderful. Good bed, good WiFi, well -equipped kitchen and friendly pets made us feel at home. Our hosts were friendly and helpful!

Lovely Stay!

Could not have found a more beautiful place to relax and enjoy my stay on the Big island. The hosts were very welcoming and so were the views. Great organic coffee, lovely hobby farm, and the coolest puppy dog ever. We are highly recommended to others.

Wonderful and close to nature!

We had a lovely, relaxing stay here. The view from the farm cottage in unparalleled. Hosts were welcoming and wonderful. Home is clean and well stocked, even with beach gear! It was nice to be close to farms, nature, beaches and fresh produce in South Kona. Highly recommend!

Instant Relaxation

The property is gorgeous and lush. The view is beautiful from both inside and outside on the porch. Be sure to be home for at least one sunset, it's stunning! The hosts were super welcoming and attentive. The space was spacious, clean, and comfortable. If you're looking for a beautiful relaxing property, this is it!

The property is gorgeous. It is located about an hour from Kona and hour and half from Hilo. It is the perfect spot if you want to visit both cities and the other attractions on that side of the island. The property itself has a fantastic sitting porch where can watch the sky and the weather play out. There are several livestock to watch graze and a few pets to greet. Plenty of wild animals to watch.

The hosts welcomed a visiting carpenter doing some work on our neighboring property. He said that the hosts were wonderful and the unit was clean and well equipped. Access to the unit was seamless.

Amazing Stay

As soon as we walked into the cottage we felt instantly relaxed. Inside the cottage is incredibly cozy, we loved the evenings with windows open listening to the coqui frogs. We enjoyed the daily visits on our lanai from the cats, ducks and Hapa the dog. We enjoyed macadamia nuts, avocados and other fruit picked right from the trees on the property. Hokulani recommended we dine at a restaurant called Tai Shan in Ocean View. It is not to be missed! Thank you for a lovely stay Hokulani and we hope to be back again one day.

Get away from the crowds for a more peaceful experience.

On the south side this is a great place to stay. You can check out the South Unit of Volcano NP Th-Sun. Also close enough to the main NP unit. Hike to Holomolokini beach (be respectful of locals-park a bit up the road at picnic benches and realize its through a forest and your feet may get wet-an ‘adventure’). The pets were also a highlight and we loved chilling on the lanai with wonderful ocean views while petting them. Host was more then gracious. Get a more hawaiian experience!

Convenient and modern - but warm

The VRBO was a 20 min drive to Hilo and not far from other places we wanted to visit. It had everything we needed, but does not have air conditioning. From what we understand thats fairly common on the island, but even with the two fans it was still uncomfortably hot.
