Candace och jag är stolta över vårt nya log Cabin-tillägg "Miller High Life", och det är bara ett kort avstånd från vårt andra Mountain Home (Kolla in våra 5-stjärniga recensioner @ VRBO 230650 "Mountain Laurel Lookout"), som så många av våra gästerna är redan bekanta med, vilket gör båda husen till ett perfekt val för en stor familj bergsevenemang. Denna klassiska timmerstuga har en fantastisk utsikt över Lake Lure plus fem områden av Blue Ridge Mountains, perfekt för familjetid eller par reträtt eller kanske bara en välförtjänt get-away. Njut av extra utomhusskydd från vår soldäck, uteplats och balkong. Var och en av de tre sovrummen har sitt eget badrum, och dubbelsäng plus alla sovrum ligger på separata våningar!
Det är enkelt att förbereda måltiderna i det fullt utrustade köket med alla nödvändiga apparater, stort skafferi och en ö med granit som serveras. Grilling är också ett alternativ med gasgrillen som ligger precis utanför på den täckta verandan. Njut av din underbara måltid vid antingen insidan eller utsidan av borden och koppla av med den fantastiska utsikten och ett glas vin i Adirondack-stolarna eller samla runt elden efter en dag med utforskning av vattenfall.

Vi är bara 10 minuter bort från I-40, strax öster om Asheville. Black Mountain ligger cirka 15 till 20 minuter bort med en stor Ingles livsmedelsbutik så att du kan hämta allt du behöver.
När du bor hos oss har du en otrolig plats för utsiktsplatser. Du kan enkelt ta dig till Biltmore House, Downtown Asheville, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Lake James, Linville Caverns and Falls, snöskidåkning vid Boone, Flat Rock Playhouse, forsränning, öringfiske, vandring, golf, zip-fodring, ridning ridning ... vilket är några bra idéer för dagsutflykter.

We came up for the Bigfoot festival in Marion. This house was absolutely awesome! We were blown away when we came in and saw the property in the view. Then we walked inside. Just absolutely beautiful. We came up with another couple and we each had our own space. Everything we needed for dinner was there. We spent as much time sitting on the back deck, staring at the view! No issues whatsoever. We had such a relaxing stay and I would recommend this property to anyone!

My friends and I weathered tropical storm Helene from Miller High Life. Though we lost power, water and cell service, we felt as safe as possible in their sturdy home. Thank goodness for battery operated lanterns and helpful neighbors.

Friends trip 2024

Old friends since 1st grade. We have a long and wonderful friendship and go somewhere every year. We loved NC and the beautiful mountains. The cabin was perfect for us. We cooked and sat on the deck and had lots of laughs. Wild turkeys and deer were all around.

Absolutely spectacular!

Th cabin was nothing short of spectacular. The log cabin boasts breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and adventure. Each bedroom is private with its own bathroom, and the fully equipped kitchen made meal prep a breeze. The outdoor spaces, including the sundeck and balcony, were perfect for soaking in the natural beauty. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a serene mountain getaway.

Beautiful Retreat

Property views are even prettier than pictures, annd house is wonderful inside and out. Owners were great to communicate with before and during stay. Enjoyed Hillman brewery in Old Fort after day on boat rental at Lake Lure.

Friends Getaway

The cabin was perfect for 3 couples. Each of us had a bedroom and bathroom on separate floors so we had more privacy. Perfect location for Black Mountain, Old Fort and Chimney Rock. Absolutely gorgeous views

Great cozy cabin

Views were beautiful in the cozy cabin. Steep mountain c switchbacks made the views even better. In winter I’d be sure to have AWD. Clean. As described. Cabin country decor.

Wish we had more time!

My family spent two nights in the cabin on our way back to Pennsylvania from Georgia. The view is amazing. I would have been happy just sitting and watching the sky change with the fireplace going all day. We did some hiking a Chimney Rock but otherwise enjoyed hanging out at the cabin. We arrived after dark, making it challenging to get up the mountain but the directions were very detailed and we made it!

Biltmore Christmas

Amazed the location of the cabin. Clean comfy very accommodating for us. The community is beautiful. Loved the waterfalls. Biltmore tour was magical. Town of Asheville was a fun festive multi cultural town. Will be back

Perfect Family Thanksgiving

Breathtaking view from the porch! Very cozy cabin. Perfect for 3 couples. Kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to cook meals. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and had a wonderful time with the family. We plan on coming back!

The location is unbelievable. The cabin sits at the top of the mountain with outstanding views. The cabin is clean and well equipped. About 20 minutes to downtown Asheville.

Gorgeous View!

We came to Asheville to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! This beautiful property is extremely peaceful and the cabin has a cozy living area with a fireplace. Since the temps were in the 40’s in the mornings, we sat by the fire with our morning coffee. We also enjoyed sitting on the back deck overlooking the mountains and the forest. We saw a rabbit, squirrels, and a family of deer 2 days in a row! What a treat! If you are looking to get away and needing some peace and tranquility, I highly recommend staying here. The owners were quick to answer our questions and very hospitable.

Breathtaking View

The fall colors were like nothing I ever saw before. The cabin allowed my family to stay together and spend some quality time together. One of the best places I have visited. If you are looking for tourist things to do, go to Chimney Rock. Lots of different things to see and do.

An excellent mountain cabin home base

This was our sisters and daughters' annual vacation, and it did not disappoint! Candace & Jack's mountain cabin was very clean and beautiful. The amenities were exactly as listed. We enjoyed the living room fireplace AND the outdoor fire table. It was nice having the three bedrooms and bathrooms on separate floors to give some privacy and space. The recommendation to get groceries BEFORE we arrived was spot on. The cabin was an excellent home base to return to after the days' activities of touring the Biltmore Estate, hiking in the Chimney Rock area and wandering around Ashville. Thank you, Candace & Jack!

More than Expected!

Candace, the owner, answered all of my questions immediately before we even left for our stay. The cabin was very clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. All three beds were were comfy. Having master bedrooms with baths on three floors was wonderful. We could have enjoyed the outside amenities more. Absolutely beautiful views but never saw a bear! Close enough to Asheville but we enjoyed Black Mountain more.

One of the most beautiful places we have stayed

We loved eating outside while watching the mountains and waking up to the incredible view. Property was clean with clear directions for access. Some amazing wildlife around - we saw a bear crossing the street on the way up!

Great experience

This cabin was amazing. Super clean. Kitchen had everything! It was even better than we expected. But the view was amazing! Pictures do not do it justice (but I still took a million of them!) Driving up the mountain was intimidating at first but we got used to it very quickly. Had visits from turkeys and their babies and also a visit from a young bear one morning. Thanks to the Millers for providing such a great experience for us! Hopefully we will be back!

We are only 10 minutes off of I-40, just East of Asheville. Black Mountain is about 15 to 20 minutes away with a huge Ingles grocery store so you can pick up anything you need.
When you stay with us you have an incredible location vantage point. You can easily get to the Biltmore House, Downtown Asheville, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Lake James, Linville Caverns and Falls, Snow skiing at Boone, Flat Rock Playhouse, Whitewater rafting, Trout fishing, Hiking, Golfing, Zip-lining, Horseback riding... which are some great ideas for day trips.
