This rental was in a great location for walking to the beach, very close and convenient! Decor was a really cute shabby chic! The grill was actually clean, so we were able to use it, which was great. Great communication with owner.

Pet friendly. Close to the beach. Clean and well stocked. Unfortunately we were in area due to needing medical care but would most definitely return for vacay if/when possible! Host very responsive, attentive!!

I loved this cottage! In a great location and just steps to the beach! It was so charming and clean. I loved that even though it was right by the beach, it wasn’t in a heavy traffic area, so getting around on a bike was easy. I had a question for Chris the day I got there and she was very quick to respond. Would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat!

I really like this place. Walked to the beach with my dog. Walked to restaurant across street. You can walk to the pier and other restaurants. The house is quite and I felt safe. The little porch out front is nice to sit with our dog. There is a shared space in back with grill, but I just used front porch. It was very relaxing. The picture with table top the stop sign is the beach access. This is very close and easy drive to get to MAYO clinic.

We loved this property! It was the perfect size for my husband and me. Offered everything we needed for a weekend get-away, and the proximity to the beach was great.Highly recommend The Refinery for a nice dinner out. It is 1/2 block from the house, so the perfect location.

Adorable cottage with a great location. Just a block from the beach and could hear the waves from our patio. Could walk to a wide variety of restaurants. Definitely would stay again.

This is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway, whether you’re a couple looking for a romantic escape, best friends wanting some quality R&R, or anyone who loves traveling with their fur baby.We stayed in Whale II on our last visit and absolutely loved it. This time we stayed in Whale I, and now we can honestly say we love them both!Whale I is beautifully decorated and features wonderful front and back decks where you can enjoy your morning coffee or relax after a day at the beach. Whale II is an adorable tiny house that’s thoughtfully designed, complete with a fun double bunk bed that comfortably sleeps four or more.One of the best things about these cottages is that grandparents can rent Whale I while their children and grandchildren stay next door in Whale II. It’s the perfect combination of togetherness and privacy, creating special family memories in a cozy, home-like setting that you just can’t get at a resort hotel.If you’re looking for a peaceful beach getaway with charm, comfort, and wonderful hosts, don’t waste another minute searching. This is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect in every way. The cottage felt like our own private retreat and our Westie/Poo appreciated having free range of the yard too. We were a block from the beach and walkable distance to shops and restaurants. The fresh flowers and pecan cookies were a warm welcome and much enjoyed. Cannot say enough good things. A great place to relax and enjoy.

The Whale Beachside Cottage is about as close to the beach as you can get in Jax Beach. It is a very short one block walk and you are on the sand! Chris presents a lovely place to stay, very clean, well maintained, supplied with pretty much everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom, and supplies for the beach to make your stay comfortable and easy. This was our second stay in the cottage and we will return.
