Great condo!

I’ve been here a couple of times - with kids and dogs - and it’s been great each time. It’s very close to walk to the beach, a close walk to restaurants and fun for a kid and dogs.

4th of July getaway

We had an amazing stay! The kitchen was stocked well with plenty of dishes/utensils. Beds were comfortable. Fabulous pool area! And super close to the beach! Would definitely stay agIn!

Perfect location and property for adults

This is a beautiful property and a wonderful place to book several rooms for a larger group stay. It was clean, quiet and well-maintained. The AC worked well! The pool and outdoor area was one of our favorite parts! And you are very close to beach access. We met the owner who was very friendly and responsive. We would definitely book this place again!

Winter Texan paradise

This was our 4th year at Athena Ares. We continue to see improvements and the owners are very responsive to any needs which is appreciated. Looking forward to next year.

Great place easy beach access

My family and I had a great time. The pictures were accurate. 35 second walk to the beach. Great location. Extra clean condo. Beautiful pool. No problems. I will definitely stay there again. This would be a great location for family reunions, wedding, etc. I rate this rental 5 stars.

The Absolute Best

When I say this is the best, I mean from location to comfort to cleanliness to ease of access to price, this was the best. Everything is as described, and literally steps to the beach, which as they said was less crowded due to the fact that the larger hotels and condos were down the beach. We had almost our own private access to the pool, hot tub and pool table during the time we were there. We had lunch on our deck and watched the waves roll in. We loved that we could bring our fur baby with us, and she loved her walks on the beach and meeting so many people and dogs. We met the property manager on arrival and she was very friendly and accommodating but we didn’t need anything. She let us know the pool bath house has a ton of pool toys/floats, sand castle making stuff, etc, and we probably wouldn’t have known that! Pro tips: bring your own bottled water as the water on SPI is awful. If you plan to cook, bring or buy seasonings, bring dishwasher/laundry detergent. Read the book in the condo about the origin of the Athena Ares LLC—powerful story and the owners are wonderful people who have made this place a special one. Thanks for the memories!

Always a pleasure

Perfect place to stay for our family vacation. Best part is it is located across the street from beach access and the beach is one of the quieter areas along S Padre. Also, my teens loved having a pool onsite. We had a minor snafu with the key at check-in but the management team quickly helped us out. Overall, very clean accommodations, nicely furnished, well run and maintained, and great location. Also, very dog friendly.

Beautiful condo

The area was perfect. Public beach access was so close and convenient. Many restaurants and stores within walking distance. Pool at complex was perfect and an awesome option on windy days. Loved our stay here, beds comfortable and pull out sleeper couch great addition .

The property was very clean, spacious, and modern. Everything is close to the beach here but there was a beach access less than a block away. The hosts were very responsive and kept me updated even before I arrived. Beautiful home and a wonderful stay!

Family reunion

Nice rooms and furniture. Minimal cooking utensils in kitchen. Very nice pool, spa and outdoor kitchen. We were able to get 15 family members together for meals and game night fun.. close to the beach

4th of July, Anniversary, Birthday Celebrations

This was our 3rd time staying at Athena Ares and it’s the ONLY place we stay in South Padre. We love the proximity to the beach-maybe a 2 minute walk, the pool area, the furnishings in the condo, the balconies, etc. we never have one single complaint. We brought friends along this time and they loved it as well!

Great Condo

This is my second time to stay at Athena Ares and it was great. It's right across the street from the beach and near lots of restaurants and bars. The condo has everything you need and is super comfortable.

Excellent location, well equipped property, great communication from hosts.

We visited for a family gathering for Thanksgiving and found the apartments very well equipped and the beds very comfortable. It was a shame the weather did not allow us to fully enjoy the out door space and pool, but it looked like a great place to spend time outside.

Great Condo & Great Location

We've become regulars at this property. It's part of our annual summer trip. You just can't beat the location to the beach. You just walk across the street to the public beach access and boom there's the ocean. Also, it's far enough away from the large condos and hotels that the beach is not crowded. We really enjoy the pool and overall aesthetics of this unit. It's also good to see the owners are making updates when needed such as replacing furniture and fixtures. Check-in and, especially, check-out process is so easy. In summary, as always, we were very happy with our stay and plan on coming back next year. Thank you!

Family holiday

We rented 4 units for ourselves and the families of our three daughters. The condos were well equipped and very convenient to the beach. The pool and patio area were great for getting everyone together for dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

The location is great! We can easily head back to the condo for lunch or just to grab more digging stuff. Then it's just a 1-2 minute walk back across the street and we are there, in the water! We also love walking down to the Wanna Wanna Inn for fried shrimp, cold beer, and good music. When our family comes to visit, we stay in all of the condos and spread out. We get to enjoy being close together without listening to each other snore!
