Memorable Weekend Retreat

Right on the beach, very clean, small pool area, bedrooms and bathrooms for all guests, text updates for checking in and checking out helpful, restaurants, shops nearby, fireworks view on balcony, front row sunrise sunset view and lots of great memories during our friend reunion visit.

So much more beautiful than the photos!!!!

This is your place for R&R!!! So clean and so spacious. We loved the big deck and the heated pool. Perfect for families or couples. The owners were so detailed in their instructions and very responsive to any questions we had.

Great view!

We enjoyed the location and the view. We had plenty of room to move around. The stairs were a little steep but it was workable. It had a small pool but we didn't use it because it was a tad cooler than we expected. The kitchen was the perfect size where more than one person could help cook. Thank you!

Great location

This is a wonderful property with an ideal location right on the beach. Add in the private pool and it's hard to top this property. The balcony was great for relaxing meals or just admiring the view. Kely was easy to work with and promptly responded to all messages.

Perfect Private Getaway

My family was looking for a safe, private, getaway at SPI that would accommodate us comfortably with a great view of the beach. This was the perfect place! The added bonus was the small private pool. I would stay here again especially because Kely was very responsive to all my questions. It was like dealing with a friend.

Great Location, but.....

Positives: the location of the rental was fantastic! Beachfront, only steps to the sand. High ceilings, open floorplan upstairs. Private plunge pool. Enclosed garage to park vehicle. Responsive communication from the owners. Negatives: worn out unit needing an overhaul with flooring, furnishings, and paint. Dusty, dingy interior. Moldy ceiling near pool. Handrail desperately needed to enter/exit pool. Two broken beach chairs and two low boy sand chairs left in unit - inappropriate for 55+ renters or younger folks as well. Pictured deck umbrella no where to be found. We expected much more for the five star price paid.

Needs repair and updates

Bathrooms and linens were clean but the place was not up to a VRBO standard I’ve come to expect. Bad lumpy mattresses, beat-up loveseats. Not enough living room seating for more than 4 people. Kitchen cabinets were sticky on the front. Light switches didn’t function properly and almost all the dimmers made the bulbs flicker. We were 8 people for 6 days and were given 1 towel each and not enough hand towels, washcloths, or kitchen towels. They had the cheapest, thin useless blankets I’ve seen. The bed toppers were duvets with no quilt inside. Tattered and worn. They brought more when we asked but it was set up cheaply from the start. They offered to come fix the lights but we didn’t want a crew coming in to repair things while we were vacationing. I think the management/cleaning company needs to up its game. I do not recommend at this time. If they would replace the furniture, mattresses and make sure everything works it might be worth the amount we paid.

Great Location right on the Beach!

We had a wonderful stay! The location right on the beach was spectular! We originally were going to be just 3 adults (ages 85,58,48) and halfway through our stay 2 family members joined (as we had PLENTLY of room) (ages 66, 65). We were so comfortable and each had own bathroom with the spacious kitchen! Our hostess sent a message about the SpaceX launch having been scheduled for the friday of our stay and luckily it was rescheduled for Saturday. Had she not notified us we wouldnt have thought of it. We were able to watch the WHOLE horizon and sky view. We felt the rumble and the Villa shook with the lift off! Then just as we saw the "explosion" large firework we thought it was the separation of the two pieces like we have seen from previous launches, little did we know that was the Shuttle itself! then later that day we heard what we thought were fighter jets (Saturday after lunch) and from the balcony were able to get great video of 2 more fly bys from the comfort of the patio chairs. The shells we collected, the meals we made, the family time together with our fur babies was magical! The "extras" in the garage (i.e. folding chairs, the umbrella, some games for tossing on the sand, etc) were nice to find. The neighborhood was so nice to walk as well. Negatives: slope of the driveway and the stairs (all straight shot up to the second level no landing break). neither of these can be changed nor are the Hostess's negatives. these are just our family age group difficulties.

Great location, not quite the perfection of prior reviews

First, don't let my review title scare you away. This is a very good property. The owner was very helpful and responsive when we had a few issues the first couple of days. The property is on the north end of Gulf Blvd which is much less busy and preferable if you have a family. It has a path that leads straight to the beach that is very convenient. That part of the beach is not as busy as many parts and we had no problem setting up chairs/canopy there each day. There are a few chairs and an umbrella in the garage. There is also a sand auger that is very helpful. (I left the canopy which I bought at Walmart July 2018 so I hope any future renters are able to enjoy it. It was about the same cost as renting an umbrella for 2 days). The place is also walking distance to Ted's Restaurant, a great breakfast place if you like diner food. The unit is 2 stories with 2 BR/2 baths on ground floor and kitchen/living/dining/master BR and bath 2nd floor. Stairs could be a challenge if you have mobility issues. Pool is on patio you enter directly from one of the downstairs BR. Upstairs balcony has bbq, table, chairs, and umbrella. BBQ worked well with clean grates and full propane tank. A couple of things that needed to be taken care of were done so quickly. The path to the beach had grown up and we called to have this cleared just as we had read on a prior review. The yard maintenance folks showed up but cleared the neighbors path instead of ours. We called and they returned that day and did a good job clearing the path but then all the debris got blown in the pool. Called again and pool maintenance came out next day and cleaned. Owner was very patient and responsive for these which I appreciated. I would have been nice to keep a skimmer at the property since this probably happens often. As far as major issues, not really much. A few minor issues easy to solve. The kitchen really needs to have much of the cookware replaced. Cookie sheets were rusty and Teflon pots scratched. Needed a few larger serving bowls and regular drinking cups. Water pressure at kitchen sink and especially outdoor shower were low (it was good elsewhere). Previous posts mentioned cleanliness. I'm thinking that everything at the beach probably has a fine layer of dust if it isn't deep cleaned regularly. If you expect pristine, you'd be a little disappointed but it was cleaner than most beach rentals we've had. Overall, it is a nice place and I'd stay there again.

The view from the balcony was awesome. Having the beach right in front of you was excellent! We got to watch the SpaceX rocket launch it was breathtaking. Having the private pool was another plus I just wish it would have been clean it has some sand at the bottom. It lacked maintenance .We will definitely be back.

It was a perfect location super easy beach access. Within walking distance to bars and grills on the beach. House was clean but could use some deep cleaning in spots. Chairs on the top deck would be nice, tall so you can see over the railing. And a couple chairs by the pool would be nice. All there was, was 3 plastice chairs. But overall great stay will go back. Property manager very accessible.

We had the best time. The house is beatuiful, plenty of room for me and my two children and their partners. You will not regret renting this house. I plan to be back next year and my kids agree.

Family Vacation

Very nice home, exactly as described. Owners were very easy to communicate with & responded quickly to maintenance issue. Steep stairs to main living quarters would be the only drawback of this property. Would certainly stay here again

Beautiful Home, Great Beach Access

Hosts were great! Easy to contact and responsive. No issues, just questions like Keurig or coffee pot, etc (both!). We spent a lot of time on the upstairs patio, beautiful views, sunset behind us so did not need the umbrella. Well appointed condo, kitchen had everything we needed to prepare multiple meals including crème brûlée (we did bring the ramekins). Plenty of bathrooms, washer and dryer. Garage access! Easy access to the beach! Liked being able to rinse off (people and supplies) when returning from the beach. Pool was nice to have available We’ll book again!

60th Celebration

My best friend and I both turn 60 in March and decided to celebrate with some of our adult children. We picked this lovely home and we were not disappointed.
