Stairway to the beach

The property is as described. Very nice, location is just a few steps to beach, good neighborhood and quiet. Close to St. Augustine and attractions. Pool is just outside back door. The only thing I wish I had known is that it's a townhouse with lots of stairs. I have a bad leg and this was difficult for me. Owner was quick to contact me on any issues. Check in info was on point. Had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend the property.

Great location

My family and I stayed for 3 nights. The inside was clean enough, but everyone of the balconys/outdoor space had some kind of trash on them. Something not listed but they mentioned with the check in instructions was that the 3rd bedroom is through the garage. It was fine for us but would have been nice to know prior to booking. The location is perfect, the pool was nice. The only other downside to the property is there is no where to wash sand off from the beach unless you go all the way to back of the unit and use the outdoor shower.

Our family of 6 had an amazing week. We had anticipated an oceanfront view - as the description of the property said. When we arrived, we were disappointed that we were the farthest unit from the beach. However, it was still so close to the beach that it didn't bother us walking a little. The unit was super clean when we arrived and even had some supplies already there to get us started for the week. We really appreciated the sand toys, chairs, wagon, and other beach items available for us to use that we didnt have to purchase or bring with us from home. The beach area was perfect, plenty of space to spread out and not crowded. The location was great - next to Publix, and just a hop, skip, and a jump away from downtown St Augustine and other places. We would definitely stay here again if available.

Only two things that weren’t entirely accurate, but not a deterrent for us. it slept 6 instead of 8 comfortably (did have an air mattress for the ‘8’ so the kids didn’t care) and it was not ocean view. Would stay again. It was an easy short walk to the beach. Great location, clean, spacious, owners easy to get in touch with if needed. Plenty of towels, toiletries if needed, sand toys, chairs, cleaning supplies. Publix and restaurant right across the street was very convenient.

Excellent location

Everything about this location either met or exceeded our expectations. The house is clean and well laid out. There are plenty of amenities to get you through your stay. Location is absolutely excellent. Is a short walk in one direction to the beach and a short walk in the opposite direction to either stores or restaurants.

Great location!

Awesome spot at Vilano Beach and close to downtown, and great to have a Publix across the street! Had a few minor issues during our stay that management resolved, great communication!!

Lovely location

We stayed for the month. I’m sure this is wonderful for short term, long term not so much. The location was perfect. Greg was easy to reach when I had an issue with the code (mainly my fault). Never had any other contact. Found the furniture very uncomfortable as well as 2 of the three beds. The kitchen not stocked well. We added a few things, needs a few more. Again good for short term not long.

Beach front fun!

Amazing super location. Host was so easy to communicate with and I felt very safe and comfortable. Enjoyed the very short walk to the beach, dining and Publix! The beach was only a short walk thru the complex. Thankfully they had a wagon to pull all of our beach stuff which was a nice little surprise. Can’t want to go back soon.

Disappointed

The listing originally stated “beach view” with a picture of the walkway down to the ocean. The Unit we were in had no beach view at all. You had to lean over the balcony to a very small (like 1/16) of what was the ocean. Also,no mention of the 15 steps up to main floor and 15 more up to bedrooms. We are seniors, this made things very difficult. It is along narrow building, with 7 units,we were in-unit 1 by the pool,which was a disappointment. It was very dirty.

Wedding day

We had 3 families that met at the house for our daughter’s wedding. It was an amazing experience. We used the area at the beach entrance to place an arch and have a wedding. Things couldn’t have been more perfect. The house and accommodation couldn’t have been better. We would live to stay here again

Adult Weekend Away

The house just as advertised. Just a short walk to the beach and short drive to downtown. We loved just relaxing on the deck. Only draw back was we couldnt watch Sunday foitball. If we had known we would have brought a streaming device.

Convenient rental to downtown & local shops

Attended a family wedding in downtown St. Augustine and rented this Vrbo for a week with my husband and 2 adult daughters, hoping to enjoy some beach time. Not a great “beach” stay. This location has very limited beach at this time of year. If it was high tide, there was no beach. Also, the step-down to the beach is very difficult to access. No steps or stairs to use. Not good for older person or physically challenged. Needed my daughter to help me down and give me a boost up whenever we were at the beach. I’m in my 50’s, and pretty able bodied. The unit itself, Unit 1, was the farthest from the beach, and closest to the pool. Nice to have a pool when we couldn’t have access to the beach. Unit could use a thorough scrub down. Needs updating. Kitchen cabinets were greasy and in need of painting/replacing. Rug needed a good steam cleaning as well. I will say the owner supplied ample linens, bath towels and even beach towels. There was plenty of paper goods (paper towels, toilet paper) in the unit as well. Also, he supplied kitchen dish soap and plenty of odds & ends for the week’s stay. Beds were comfortable. Backs to a Publix and pizza restaurant, which was convenient. All in all, a good stay. Just not as clean and easy walkability to the beach as was depicted in the description on line. I give this property 3 stars. We are also owners of a VRBO beach property on the NC shore, so I’m giving my honest feedback on what needs addressing.
