My wife and I decided to take advantage of her 3-day weekend from teaching and take a trip to Flagstaff. Rather than doing the usual hotel that can be hit-or-miss, I wanted to do something different, so we settled on renting this nice cabin.
We arrived Friday night, a little cold and with some freezing rain. The place was inviting and warmed up very nicely. The cabin was very spacious and the master bedroom was enormous.
Everything about the cabin was really nice with the snow that fell on Saturday. It made for a beautiful place to spend a few days. Very easy to get to Flagstaff and Sedona and a nice place to relax after a drive up to Snowbowl.
While I generally loved everything about our stay, and would probably stay here again, being relatively reliant on technology, I was a bit disappointed with the internet service. This cabin is about a half mile or so outside of any reliable cell service area, and the internet connection is DSL which, at this distance from the city, was extremely slow. I survived, but I know how the turtles in the Cox internet commercials feel. :)
Aside from that one VERY minor concern, this was a great place, and the next time we take a trip without the larger family (including dogs) we will look it up again.
FYI: Fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and kitchen appliances but we didn't make use of them as we had to make our usual stop at Big Foot BBQ and found Bodacious Burgers in Sedona. If we'd wanted to cook, though, it looks like we had anything one would need for preparing a meal (outside of groceries, of course).
Also, the owner was very pleasant in helping us set up the reservation rather last minute.
Great place, great service, it doesn't get any better.
