Vacation or multiple calls to customer service?

Absolutely Disappointing Stay – Avoid This Unit! We recently stayed at a unit in The Turquoise rented through Vacasa Rentals, and it was one of the worst vacation rental experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, we were hit with a strong musty odor. The unit was poorly maintained—many lights were out, remotes had no working batteries, and only one TV functioned for the first day. Tv boxes and cords hanging from every tv when we arrived. It appeared like a college dorm room.. not luxury accommodation. Despite multiple calls to Vacasa, it took three full days to get the TVs working properly. That alone was frustrating, but unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. The master bathroom shower was shocking—cracked and broken tiles, and visible black mold growing around the showerhead. For a luxury property, this was completely unacceptable and a potential health hazard. The washer leaked water all over the floor, and the dryer took three full cycles to dry even a small load. When we arrived, sand was in the pantry, which we ended up having to clean ourselves. It’s clear the unit had not been properly prepped or inspected before our arrival. The only redeeming quality was the large couch, which was comfortable. Everything else—from the cheap, creaky furniture to the bargain-bin pillows and uncomfortable, noisy beds—was subpar. Every bedroom required us to plug in lamps manually because none of the light switches worked with the fixtures. That kind of setup might be fine in a budget motel—not in a high-priced beachfront rental. We’ve stayed at The Turquoise before and had wonderful experiences, which made this stay even more disappointing. We paid premium rates for a holiday weekend, expecting a clean, well-maintained, and relaxing unit. Instead, we spent our time on the phone with customer service, sending pictures of issues, and were never once offered any compensation for the numerous problems we faced. Vacasa should be ashamed to list this unit in its current condition. At this price point, guests should not have to “make do” with broken appliances, dirty conditions, and neglected maintenance. This unit was a complete letdown, and I would never rent through Vacasa again if this is the standard they consider acceptable.

Amazing Spring Break Stay at Turquoise Place!

Our family had a fantastic spring break getaway at Turquoise Place in Orange Beach, and we’re already talking about coming back to this exact unit next year! The resort itself is incredible — the amenities are top-notch, and there’s so much to enjoy on-site.Our kids especially loved the indoor pool, which was perfect since the outdoor pools were still a bit chilly in early April. And the beach access couldn’t have been easier — just a quick walk and you’re right on the sand. It made beach time with little ones a breeze.The unit was spacious and comfortable for our family, and although it could use a bit of maintenance here and there, nothing at all interfered with our stay. Everything we needed was there, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to any families looking for a fun, relaxing beach vacation!

Great Location

I'll start with the good news about this condo. Turquoise Place has alot of great ammenities. The pools were beautiful the slide was alot of fun and everything was clean. The condo itself had plenty of room. The sofa was the most comfortable thing in the condo. Now for the not so good things. The bed were VERY uncomfortable. None of us had a good night sleep while we were there. The kitchen is really lacking some items and not very well stocked. The fridge was a subzero fridge and was extremely hard to get open. There are no towel hooks in the bathrooms to hang your towels after a shower. No beach towels were provided. It was really just missing some touches that I was used to in other rentals we have rented. I would probably not stay in this unit again but would stay in Turquoise Place.

Very nice resort

The resort is very nice and upscale. The grill on the deck is very convenient however it was difficult to shut off and had a small gas smell. This particular condo had dirty floors and repairs that were unfinished with the side of the master tub exposed. Otherwise it was very nice.

Lovely vacation home

I loved the view. The condo had so many things you can do there. They had exercise rooms, multiple pools the slide waa great. The restaurant near the pool was lovely. Security around the condo was nice you felt safe there. I would highly recommend this place

Great Time!

We come every year to Orange Beach and this was the best stay yet. This condo really has it all. The hot tub and grill on the balcony are the best. We like to bring in local seafood and cook in the condo and this was the absolute best. The hot tub is great for folks like me who love the beach but hate to actually be on the beach. (Sand!). The resort is great. Lots of new amenities and all very convenient. I love the assigned parking that based on design, are all close to an elevator that will take you very close to your room. They do seem to take a while for as many as they are and it was not really at peek during our stay. Over all this was the best stay we've had after many years of traveling to OB. We are already looking at dates for for next year.

The condo was not clean and had the minimal requirement for necessities provided. We were not told in advance that some amenities were closed (e.g., lazy river). Staying on the 4th floor made all the difference! Highly recommend the 4th floor.

Great place to stay!

Very nice but a few cosmetic issues

Beautiful condo but we paid alot of money for the tub in the master bath to have the tile removed from one whole side. Let the property manager know and they said they would get back with us but never did. Also there was not one towel hanger in any of the bathrooms. Other than this we had a great stay.
