Gulf shores/Orange Beach stay

The bathrooms were beautiful, and the rooms were spacious with pleasant lighting. The kitchen area was open and inviting, making it a great space for gathering. We also loved the convenient beach access—it was a definite highlight of our stay!

Nice home but Floors not safe

The location was amazing. The home was very well laid out with plenty of space for our group. Our main concern (which we wish we would have know prior to renting, is that the floors in the home are not safe. They are very spongy to walk on and the floor will sink far enough when you walk on it that the laminate flooring will split in two. The home has had some kind of water damage that has not been addressed and was covered over with a laminate flooring. The house cleaning crew did an immaculate job, the house was spotless. Everything looked very nice.

Beautiful home, gorgeous views!

Love the layout of the home, the multiple large bedrooms and bathrooms on the gulf front side. Large kitchen. Beautiful natural light flowing through multiple windows. It just needs a little love and attention.

Great stay

Home was great. Had a whole section of beach to ourselves. It was a short stay so didnt utilize much of the home. Only downside was the trash can was full and hadnt been placed by the road when we got there. Probably due to service days vs previous checkout. I would suggest mayb a walking mat from the beachside stairs to atleast the foot of the dune.

Great stay

The house was roomy, clean and beautiful. It was well suited for a large group, having a lot of space in the kitchen and living room. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and cooking utensils! Lots of rooms, bathrooms, and places to sit, which we have not experienced at other locations. The dining table was massive. We didn't feel crowded. The beach location is amazing. The beach was large, nice sand was pleasant, and the water was shallow for a long way out which was great for swimming. Just be aware there are critters (rays, jellyfish sometimes, and small sharks at morning and evening.) Water shoes could be helpful to protect from the rays that are hard to see and the occasional sharp clam shell. There are a few chairs and quite a few boogie boards in the storage. The location was remote enough that we and the neighbors were the only ones on the beach which was nice. Lots of small fish near the shore if you like to fish!

Good house needs appliance upgrade

I like the house but the appliances need an upgrade. - dishwasher would run but didn’t clean dishes, especially the upper rack. We had to hand wash after. - ice maker in fridge didn’t work at all. The bar ice maker worked but couldn’t keep up with our needs. We froze water bottles to put in cooler for beach. - microwave started sparking and the light pulsed and strange noise. The lining is peeling away and it is rusted(corroded?). We put in service tickets but the guy that came out only cleared the plugged drain in the shower

Great beach house

The good: The house is huge. We had plenty of room for our seven adults and six children. The back deck is also huge and has plenty of lounge chairs. Having three refrigerators was nice. There are a lot of beach toys and chairs in the house. The beach is great. No crowds. We basically had the beach to ourselves. Things that could have been better: We were told the house didn't have a baby bed but found one and a high chair after arrival. We could have saved some space in the car knowing that ahead of time. Also, it's a hike to get over the berm between the beach and the house. My old knees had some issues there. I know the berm serves a necessary purpose, but it does block a view of the beach from the main level of the house and deck. What caused the 4 star rating: The garbage bins were full when we arrived because they had not been placed at the road that morning. It was two days before the next garbage run and I was surprised they took all of it. Also, someone (could have been prior guests) had drug a leaking garbage bag down the front steps. There was a foul smell and sticky substance on the front steps that had not been cleaned prior to our arrival.

Family Space was a Plus

Lots of room for our 9 adults and 5 children. Thanks for the reviews mentioning sand shoes for going over the dunes. A must-have! Beautiful beach! Beautiful home!

Wonderful family vacation home

We had such an amazing family vacation in this home! There was plenty of space for our family to spread out. The beach was beautiful and loved having it to ourselves. The walk over the dune was rough but not impassable! We would definitely book here again!!

Paradise and Bulldozers?

We loved the house and location; beautiful sunrises and sunsets always. Plenty of room for our guests! What we didn't expect though was the last week of 24/7 beach dredging and reshaping which closed the beach directly in front of us. Fortunately, it reopened on our last day so we could enjoy a final beach walk....my happy place. A few maintenance issues were addressed promptly by the very helpful staff. Would stay at Paradox again.

Spacious, Picturesque, A Few Minor Issues

The house was VERY well cleaned and the towels and bed linens appeared to be very well laundered. We experienced a few minor issues (a refrigerator set on the coldest setting wasn’t cool inside, trash cans were left completely full without instructions related to garbage services, and a bedroom tv was not working properly) but responses to our text inquiries were immediate and two of the three problems were resolved quickly. The views were absolutely beautiful even on overcast days and we were fortunate to experience multiple sightings of dolphins in the waves. The dedicated ice maker was a bonus that we took full advantage of. It would be helpful (especially for our older group members) to have a printed copy of the checkout instructions and property expectations. These printed instructions have been included with every other rental in the past (usually posted on the kitchen countertop or on the fridge) and we have come to rely on that. Some of our group noticed the picturesque spiral staircase appeared a bit unstable but they ascended one at a time and seemed mostly unphased by it. There are some minor deck maintenance items that will probably need to be addressed- lots of rusty broken nails and loose boards- but most of us didn’t notice and the railings all seemed secure. The most trouble we had was with the dishwasher. Pre-rinsed dishes came out looking unwashed multiple times. During the last couple of days it didn’t release the detergent pod properly and entire loads of dishes had to run a second and third time. Overall this was a fantastic vacation in an open, gorgeous house with a fully stocked kitchen in a great location. We look forward to booking another stay in the future!

Beautiful home and view

This home is gorgeous. Very clean. Very nice. Beautiful beach view and lagoon views from every room and window. Only complaint was that the shower attached to loft was not accessible. Bring blowdryer because there are none.
