Perfect

We enjoyed our stay in Galveston immensely. This property is off the beaten path on the west end, so stock up if you don't want to drive 40 minutes one way. The location is beautiful, with a quiet beach, and great amenities.

Just ok

We came here for a Spring getaway in early March. The pros: easy check in and great communication with the owners. Well stocked kitchen, and a super comfortable bed in the master bedroom! Felt cleanCons: the entire place smelled so musty! It was beginning to get unbearable. I noticed there was a lot of Glade plug-in, air fresheners, obviously it wasn’t helping. the furniture is in need of being updated very worn and old, such as the couch. It was difficult to open the doors and windows due to all the rusting from the salt air..Overall, had a nice time but would not come back.

Another awesome stay. Tranquility! Blessed with good weather. Ocean was not too cold for the kids :) This time we enjoyed the Ocean Club house hot tub and pools. Looking forward to visiting again!

Great location!

We loved the location of this rental. We have stayed at Pointe West many times and this would have to be the best location. The property manager was very responsive to our questions. Our only feedback would be to consider updating the living room furniture, but all in all a great stay!!

Ideal weekend!

We have stayed at pointe west before, but this condo was the best! So close to the beach club and pier! We were all comfortable and had a very fun weekend. We will definitely be back.

Sandy toes condo

We just got back from Galveston. Loved our stay at Sandy Toes in Pointe West Club! Location of the condo is wonderful. Very close to the pool and an easy walk on the boardwalk to get to the beach. Our host responded to questions quickly. Keep in mind this property is at the far west end of the Island, so if you want to go to town it’s about a 20-30 minute drive.

Roomy beachfront condo

Very clean and great location next to clubhouse where pool, bar, restaurant, and fitness center are located. Bunk room was great for my 3 kids. Beach wagon in storage closet was a lifesaver for hauling stuff to the beach, thanks!

Cozy family condo in great area

We stayed in this property with our 3 kids and dog for a child's dance competition. Although we were scheduled to arrive just after hurricane Beryl came through the area, the property owners were very helpful in adjusting our travel plans. The condo very comfortably fit our entire family and was a great place to recharge in the evening. Our kids loved the bunk room. The view of the ocean is lovely and the building is next to the beach club and pool. If you need to be in Galveston and are looking for a comfortable property in a great area, this is it.

Quick Beach Getaway

We had a great time! Condo is in the perfect location. Right next to the pool and walkover to the beach. Beach was awesome. The wagon was extremely helpful for getting our chairs and tent to the beach. There was an odd odor in the condo, but air fresheners and a candle helped. We left Saturday night instead of Sunday morning to get ahead of potential traffic due to the storm Beryl coming into the Gulf. Other than that, it was a great beach weekend.

Peace on the westside

For those who want a nice getaway but still be close to the hustle of the island this resort is just a short drive to the west of the city center. Very clean and comfy will definitely book again.

Beautiful condo & beach!

We really enjoyed the beautiful condo and the view of the beach. Much appreciated the supplies and full washer & dryer and beach towels and chairs. That was definitely a plus!! The infinity pool was great. We felt right at home. I loved the kitchen and the Keurig, coffee, pot, and coffee. Thank you!! But I did want to mention that most of the forks are missing and some of the cook wear needs replacing and there just seems to not be enough cook wear if someone was to do major cooking & baking. We loved staying in your beautiful home. Thank you for sharing it!

Great Accommodations and Location

We had a great experience. Everything was as advertised. The communication was excellent including the timelines. The location right next to the Pointe West Beach Club pool was the highlight for our granddaughter. The beach was very well maintained, though the walkway to the beach is a bit of a hike. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony was perfect; a great place to curl up with a book and enjoy the view and ocean breeze. Bottom line, we will be back!

Cute, Clean, Ocean View with pool access!

We wanted to get away for a quick trip to escape the Austin heat. Must haves included: 1. an unobstructed view of the ocean with a porch to drink coffee in the morning 2. Allows us to bring our dog 3. very clean What I wasn’t thinking of, is how hot it is even at the beach in the summertime. We found this lovely condo at Point West in Galveston that not only has an unobstructed ocean view, but also a pool with a view of the ocean and a walk up cafe for food and beverages. Bonus! this cute condo met all of our criteria and then some. The owners are very responsive and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend!

Pointe West August stay

The property is great, access to a great section of beach is really nice. The pool/hot tub area is really nice with some nice shade spots to hand out in. They have a nice bar open later in the day upstairs. The restaurant was still under remodeling but should open soon. The condo was nice had everything needed including beach gear that we could use. The condo owner was super attentive and responded quickly. One thing to consider is this location is on the far west end of the island, about a 30 min drive to the seawall. We couldn't find places that delivered food there either. We did eat from the resort pool area concessions and the food was good. Overall we loved the spot and would return.

Nice resort

The resort is lovely, with great amenities. The condo had some nice touches: good view, comfortable bed, nice master shower. But it also had some issues. There were only 4 forks and 4 dining chairs, but we were a group of 5 people. There were no mixing bowls or large serving spoons. The ice maker was broken. The deadbolts on the doors onto the patio were rusted and hard to turn. Two of the kitchen drawers were off their tracks. The living room furniture was uncomfortable. Overall, I would gladly stay at this resort again, but would probably choose a different condo.

Xmas and New Year at Pointe West

Our second time staying at Sandy Toes and just as fun and relaxing as the first time! This time stayed through New Year’s and got an extra bonus of watching fireworks for miles along the beach. Nice having beach chairs and a pull cart provided to haul beach gear to and from the beach. Kids even caught a fish with the provided fishing rod. Thanks Ricardo & Alma for being gracious hosts. Looking forward to another stay at Sandy Toes!

Good property with Great Host

The highlights of this property are the location (very close to the resort pool and boardwalk, very clean and wide beach, great ocean view from the condo) and the host. Ricardo was extremely fast in communicating with me in the lead up to and during the trip. Any small issues or questions were quickly addressed. And, he went above and beyond in response to my question on arrival as to whether a step stool was in the unit (to help our two young kids to reach the sink), by purchasing a stool and having it shipped to the unit the next day. Wow! Such a kind and helpful surprise! The unit itself, as mentioned, is in a great location and the resort is pretty well maintained and relaxed. Restaurant was a bit short staffed the weekend we visited, but staff present were working hard to get to everyone as fast as they could. The lazy river across the road from the main infinity pool/beach provided a nice change of pace for our family. There weren't any long walking paths that I noticed on the property, but we enjoyed walks on the well-maintained beach. The unit itself was as described, though I think the many summer guests may have taken their toll and some parts of the unit were a bit worn at present. I'm sure the host is planning an off-season refresh and I"d certainly encourage others to book in the future.

After years of enjoying Pointe West and the quiet beaches of the West End, our family (Ricardo, Alma and Ricky) purchased this beachside condo in 2018. We spent the first year completely renovating the interior with new air conditioner, tile floors, new master shower, water heater, furniture, decor and kitchen accessories. Performing much of the renovation projects ourselves provided the opportunity to spend quality time together. Each project was completed with the upmost care paying close attention to details and quality of finishes. In 2019, we embarked on the vacation rental business, creating Pointe West - Sandy Toes.

Pointe West - Sandy Toes was launched as a way to describe our vacation destination. We have thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation rental business and memories it is creating. It is exciting to hear of other families visiting and creating their own memories. We continue, and encourage others, to frequent Pointe West - Sandy Toes regularly as an escape from a busy lifestyle and opportunity to create lasting memories.
