The view was amazing and we loved the pool.. Location is great and the restaurant was wonderful. The bed wasn’t comfortable but the view helped make up for it!! I would love to come again but hope the bed is replaced.

Close enough to touch

We loved its location
central to the things we wanted to enjoy in Kona town, and the towns south of us. And at night the ocean waves outside our bedroom window made us feel like we were sleeping on the water.

Beautiful location

Property is clean, neat and tidy. Has beach chairs and a cooler for your trips. You cannot ask for a better view when the windows are open. The shower has good pressure but barely warm. Highly recommend for a couple.

Piece of paradise

How it is described is what you get! The view is amazing and the sounds of the ocean definitely lull you to sleep. It’s right beside the Magic Sands beach which is the best for wave jumping and great snorkeling is close by. Its location is easy access to shopping and the main highway to get to other sightseeing locations. The host, Alice, is very quick with responses to questions you may have. I would highly recommend this place to a couple that wants to explore this beautiful Island.

The condo was perfect for the two of us. It was clean and stocked with everything needed for the beach. The view of the ocean and sunsets right out of the back door, were amazing. Being right next door to Magic Sands Beach was super convenient and made for stress free beach days.

Great spot, ocean lulls you to sleep!

This condo is wonderful. Right next to one of our favorite beachs, Magic Sands, and above a great restaurant/bar. I slept so well with the sounds of ocean waves. Everything you need is there in the condo for cooking, cleaning and going to the beach.

Kona birthday trip

Enjoyed my stay 2 years ago at this property & had to book it again. Another great experience. I love the location. I got to listen to the waves crashing all night, so relaxing! No issues. Cute lil condo. Would recommend staying here if you’re in Kona & want that ocean view as well as Magic Sands Beach just 2 mins away.

Beautiful views ! Easy walk to beach and felt very safe .

Absolutely loved the island ! Rented a car and drove the island -so many beautiful areas, including volcanoes. Condo was very comfortable and away from the hustle and bustle but an easy trolley ride to town. The condo also has everything needed for the beach ! We will be back ! Thank you for all the conveniences and comforts of home.

Relaxing with ocean waves

The unit had all what we were looking. Parking for rental, oceanfront view, kitchenette, and a bed. They were extraordinary additions like beach towels, beach chairs, body boards, snorkel gear, coffeemaker toaster, microwave, laundry (quarters only), pool, etc. The unit is literally next door to Magic Sands Beach, 15-20 minutes to “downtown” Kailua, 2 miles to grocery store, 20-30 minutes to airport, 2 hours (on HWY 11) to Volcano Park and 2.5 hours going back from Saddle Rd. which is a driving experience I can’t explain in little words. We had the most relaxing stay listening to the waves as we go to sleep, breathtaking view of the ocean and sunset. We will definitely come back and hope to stay here again. Thank you for hosting us! Kona Holiday

There was good and bad about our stay. The unit was clean and outfitted with what we needed including a full closet of beach toys. It was right on the water with wonderful views of the sunset. A very nice beach was next door. Therre is a nice restaurant in the building with good food and excellent service. Alice was easily available via text and quickly resolved the few issues we had upon check in. The bad news was that the unit was more like a studio apartment rather than a one bedroom. The building and unit are older and need updated. Just for information, there was no deck to sit on and watch the sunset. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we visit Kona.

This property was beautiful, how could it not be, you are almost in the ocean! The apt. was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The pool area is really nice, clean, and well-maintained as well. The parking lot gets a bit dicey at night, but that is due to the "local flair" and not anyone's fault. Only issue. There is a neighbor on one side who is very intrusive, even opening the screen door to look inside one day, complaining that the screen makes noise. Several comments were made to us, making us feel we were under constant supervision. We followed all the rules, so it wasn't a huge deal, but it did unnerve me on occasion. I would definitely stay again, I just tried to book for the same time next year and am sad to learn it's already booked.

Oceanfront but needs updates

This property was an okay place to stay, but badly in need of updates and permanent repairs. We knew we weren't going to be getting a high end property or something very spacious for the price we paid for oceanfront, but it was both small and outdated. There was duct tape used in 2 different places in the condo as a fix, which in our opinion should never be seen. The old block walls were finished with a bad texture job and outdated paint style and color, and there was a huge wall repair that was never actually finished in the living room. The giant mirrors in the bed area were severely corroded, and again, outdated looking. The updates that have been done contributed to an incohesive look. The lighting was poor-- overhead lighting is needed in the living area. In our opinion, the bed should be swapped with the couch and dining area, as there was no room on my husband's side of the bed to get in or out, and the tiles were cracked on that side of the bed as well. The AC was inefficient and took several hours to cool, and a second floor Kona condo gets pretty hot. There was a giant piece of artwork that wasn't hung and just sitting behind the TV, and a changing screen that was ripped and taped over sitting by the bed. I just think more care and thought needs to be put into this place-- I've seen pictures of other units in the same building that appear to be much more nicely done. With that being said, the condo was clean and equipped well enough, and we enjoyed the oceanfront view and large sliding doors. The location next to Magic Sands Beach was great, aside from it being a busy area. We generally only noticed noise when at the back of the condo though. We also liked the restaurant next door-- the guest discount was nice-- and the beach shack for coffee in the morning was an unexpected plus. We would stay here again if a lot of these updates took place, even if it meant an extra hundred bucks a night.

We loved the location of this property. The water outside the window is so clear you can see yellow and black tangs in the waves. Looks like an aquarium. We also so spinner dolphins playing. Listening to the waves crash on the rocks is the best. It was really hot while we were there in September so the portable AC got a workout but sleeping was comfortable. The bathroom stayed warm. Very clean and comfortable.

Gorgeous space to spend our honeymoon! The building had a working grill we took full advantage of for dinners. You can watch sunset and moonset from the unit itself and fall asleep to the waves. The water is so clear we could see fish in the water from the condo. Easy walk to Magic Sands beach with convenient feet washing stations for the sand. Alice was very kind accommodating check-in and check-out time hiccups we had due to flights. Highly recommend this stay!

Super clean. pounding waves

Not a dust bunny to be found! which is impressive considering it's tile flooring throughout. Good location to get around, but the waves are loud because they hit the footers of the development without breakers a bit out. It took us a few nights to get accustomed as it sounded like we were in a New England thunderstorm all night. Then again, it's good that the waves are loud and that there was a portable air conditioner because otherwise, you'd hear cars and harleys on Alii Dr. These are all unavoidable in this area, so no fault of the owner. Pans could use "refreshing", but the pot was ok and worked to fry eggs for breakfast. Appreciated the beach and snorkeling gear.

Beautiful view but under construction

This was an amazing place to stay for so many reasons. The view is beyond words and the sound of the waves is so calming. It is well equipped and very clean. The beach by the property is a magical place and there is good snorkeling at another beach about a mile away. The only reason I didn’t give the place five stars is that the building is under construction with loud noise from 8-4 every day I was there, and I wasn’t given a heads-up about it. I just would have liked to have known that so that I could have made other arrangements. But otherwise, great place that’s close to everything. I would consider staying again but I would check first to make sure the construction was completed.

Everything we needed for a Kona stay

We stayed 4 nights at this property and it was perfect. So many great beaches close by for snorkeling and swimming. Convenient to the shopping center in Kona, but without the bustle and chaos. We didn't need to rent a thing for our beach days, and we enjoyed a nice ocean breeze and stunning views at night. Would stay again!nice ocean

This is such a romantic and healthy place to be - right on the clean warm ocean in Hawaii. I know that location is key. This location is the best- on the ocean,walk to the beach, next to a park all at a price that is more than fair. What more could you ask for!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

All my guests just rave about how they love this beach front studio. First thing in morning the ocean water is so glassy and clean, I just love it and so will you! It is such a fun and friendly atmosphere.
