Stay at our cozy beachfront apartment, located on Tamarindo’s main road, at 50 meters walking distance from the beach (right where the best surf is!) and next to the Marine National Park “Las Baulas”.
Right next to the apartment is Soul & Wine Bar and Tapas where you can enjoy a variety of wines from all over the world, eat delicious tapas and chill out to the sound of soul music! The closest supermarket is a 5 minutes’ walk away.
Within 10 minutes you are in the center of Tamarindo, where you will find a great selection of restaurants, shops, bars, etc.

Great place to stay. Beaches walkable distance. Able to walk into town to restaurants and shopping. Definitely a place for surfers!!

Great for beach trip

If you are looking for a trip to stay at the beach to surf or swim, this is a good place. It is nice, safe, secure, has most all of the basic necessities and my hosts were kind and helpful when I had questions or needed anything. It was close to a busy street and restaurants so there was a lot of noise at times. It was right on the main road yet near the end of it so you can walk to get to all the shops and restuarants.

Good value for the price

Located a 5 minute walk to the beach and another 5-10 minutes to stores and other amenities. Lots of morning traffic to give you an early start to the day. Lack of sidewalks in the area makes walking difficult. Hosts were pleasant, available and very accommodating. We enjoyed a great day on the water with them snorkeling, and Lily stayed in the water with the snorkelers to ensure their safety.

Perfect Crash Pad Near All of the Action

Check in was super easy. Davide was warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend to solo traveler such as myself or a couple that does not have any expectations of anything fancy. This isn’t a resort, but what it is, is a safe space that is extremely convenient to walk to downtown Tamarindo. The beach is an easy 5 min walk, and you’re downtown in 10-15 mins with plenty of shops on your way. Some have mentioned the noise. You’ve got to understand you’re right off a busy street but with the fan or ac going it’s not really a big deal. Honestly for me, it wasn’t bad at all. Pura Vida, thank you!

Modeste et simple

Bien situĂ©, Ă  2 minutes de marche de la plage et quelque minutes de marche du centre-ville. Belle vue sur la magnifique vĂ©gĂ©tation Costa Ricaine! Ce qui nous a permis de voir un singe, des Ă©cureuils, iguanes et bien sĂ»r, ĂȘtre si prĂšs de la vĂ©gĂ©tation emmĂšne quelques bestioles non dĂ©sirĂ©s mais rien de dĂ©rangeant. Studio trĂšs modeste mais qui a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour un court sĂ©jour. Nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© les 2 balcons qui nous permettaient une vue sur la rue et l'autre sur la vĂ©gĂ©tation. Lily et Mauro nous ont bien accueillis et sont trĂšs gentils. Ils veulent etre certains que nous ne manquons de rien. Si vous ĂȘtes du genre hĂŽtel, n'y allez pas car vous pourriez donner de mauvais commentaires et ce serait dommage que ceux qui sont prĂȘts a vivre modestement quelque jours se privent de passer un moment Ă  cet endroit. J'y retournerais!

HOSTS WERE GREAT, HAD A SLIGHT AC PROBLEM WAS FIXED AND BACK TO NORMAL WHEN I GOT BACK. IF YOU WANT QUITE SOLITUDE, NO. THERE'S 1 MAIN ROAD AND YOUR ON IT SO YOU WILL HERE ALL MANNERS OF TRAFFIC. ALSO, THE BEST WESTERN ACROSS THE STREET HOSTS A FRIDAY NIGHT FREE DRINKS FROM 9 TO 11 (LOUD MUSIC AND PARTYING). IF YOUR A, LIKE TO SLEEP IN THE DARK PERSON LIKE MYSELF, NO. JUST BAMBOO TYPE BLINDS ON THE 2 LARGE WINDOWS. NO CURTAINS TO BLOCK OUT THE LIGHT. A MICROWAVE WOULD HAVE BEEN HANDY TO WARM UP LEFTOVERS INSTEAD OF A PAN ON THE STOVE. AND A COFFEE MAKER. ITS LOCATION WAS GREAT THOUGH. EVERYTHING WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE AND THERE WERE PLENTY OF EATING, DRINKING AND SHOPPING ESTABLISHMENTS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET. WALKING CAN BE A LITTLE SKETCHY AS THERE ARE NOT SIDEWALKS EVERY WHERE. YOU'LL FIND YOUSELF WALKING IN THE STREET AT TIMES. BUT ALL THE DRIVERS ARE VERY COURTEOUS. WE GOT A GOLF CART ONE DAY AND HAD A BLAST! THE PROPERTY IS PRETTY DATED BUT HAS A COZY COMFORTABLE VIBE. IF YOU WERE A SURFER DUDE BACK IN THE 60's YOU WOULD BE IN HEAVEN.

Great Budget minded stay

Close to everything, unique room, looks like it was converted from a retail space, but it worked. With all the vegetation there is no ocean view, but it's right there. 2 minute walk. Not the place if you want to cook, as it has a portable gas stove and a glorified toaster oven I couldn't figure out. Short uber to everything, i would stay there again, just be prepared, absolutely nothing fancy.

Nice place, great hosts!

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The apartment was nice and had everything we needed. The hosts are great! They were very friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. We went on a boat snorkeling tour with them and had a wonderful time. The location is great too. The Chinese restaurant downstairs was the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, haha.

Great location

Laura was a great host, the place was as advertised. It’s as if your living like a local and gives you that experience. No butlers or fancy amenities, but that’s what I was looking for. The only problem I had was, like someone else said, the dogs barking. They could bark for hours and not stop some days. At night, early morning, so expect that. Also a little noisy from traffic on main road but not that bad. It’s an amazing location, 2 min walk to the beach and food, and like a 5-10 min walk to Centro where all the clubs/nightlife were. I walked home pretty late and never really felt unsafe but I don’t recommend that for everyone. Overall if it wasn’t for the dogs, I would have gave 5 stars instead of 3.

Great little surf studio

Small apartment, basically one room, but everything we needed to self-cater. Close to the surf beach and a reasonable walk to the supermarket and restaurants. Lots of wildlife seen from the rear balcony-large iguanas, a monkey and hummingbirds! No kettle but a great Italian coffee pot! No complaints!

Good location !

This property is cute and simple with more of an authentic aspect compared to a villa, condo or hotel. It is very close to Playa Tamarindo and several restaurants and shops and a short walk to the center of Tamarindo. You can easily stay here without a vehicle as everything is a short walking distance. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful! :)

The fridge went out which was not their fault but it was slightly inconvenient. Nothing moves fast in Costa Rica. Pura vida.

Davide was extremely helpful from before checking in all the way to check out. The place was exactly as advertised and the location can’t be beat! Your steps away from the beach and a few minute walk to the town center.
