Vår stuga, på den västra kusten av Lake Rotorua, ligger bara 8kms från Rotorua City och dess sevärdheter. En tunnland av park som grunder ger gott om off road säker parkering och gott om utrymme för barn att leka. En säker sandstrand och kajaker gör det till en idealisk semesterort. Stugan är rymlig, välutrustad och bekväm. Den har ett modernt badrum, fullt utrustat kök, inklusive två kylskåp / frysskåp och mikrovågsugn, ett inloppshallrum, vedeldad eld, T. V. Perfect location

This was our second stay at Willowmere cottage - we love it. It's a perfect location, right on the edge of lake Rotorua, and nice and cozy with the fire going in winter. Super close to Rotorua for entertainment and amenities.

Great stay in a traditional Bach

Perfect getaway

Absolutely loved our stay here. Being right next to the lake meant lots of activities and fun as well. We had a blast and enjoyed every moment of it.

So quiet

5 of us stayed here for a long weekend. Very big house with a lovely big fire and heatpump. There were heaters in every room too. Extra wool blankets as well. It was so quiet and peaceful but close enough to get to town. We would highly recommend this house. Yes it's a little tired but it's so charming and there is everything you need there. The deer heads from the photos in the lounge are gone. There was even netflix on the TV. Heaps of space for everyone. Beds were very comfy and lovely linen. Big dining table and 2 fridges for all your treats. Kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you need. The hestpump was on when we got there so it was lovely and warm. We sure appreciated that. Enough space for 3 or more cars. We will definitely go back in the summer. As the deck look perfect to lounge around on. Great for a big group. Big bath and 2 showers and 2 toilets. Highly recommend.

Great location, comfortable 'typical' kiwi bach (i.e. it's not aprkling new but it is just what the backh would be if you owned one) - lakefront and at the same time just a couple of minutes from all the main entertainemnt attractions

Family of four adults. We loved Willowmere Cottage. It was warm, felt safe, had all the mod comms, kayaks, great lighting. The house was huge so we all had our own space. The water front was such a treat, with bird life happy to visit. The wifi was a bonus, and sky tv so my husband could watch sky darts. Loved the fire place. No noise at night just the gentle water lapping on the shore. Bathroom was massive with lovely smelling shampoo and conditioner supplied. Thanks for lending us this cozy perfect slice of paradise for three nights 💕

Great spot

Great spot and well priced for the quality but we struggled to stay warm. Kitchen and dining area is cold and had trouble keeping the fire hot enough with damp wood. More blankets are needed. Only 1 role of toilet paper provided. A little more cleaning of windows and frames would be nice too.

Cosy Getaway

This was a lovely weekend away, a beautiful view of the lake. Especially worth waking up to enjoy the sunrise. Very clean, had everything we needed. Water pressure average, a struggle with my long thick hair but my family members with short hair found it fine. Loved that they provided many heaters as it did get cold. They had them in all the bedrooms and was very happy with the one in the lounge. The fireplace was lovely, added to the atmosphere. Good location. Overall, it was lovely, charming and would love to come back.

Lake house

Enjoyed our stay, but property really could do with more updating, very very dated. We could see some things have been improved recently, but the top oven did not work for example and crockery could be replaced, I don't like cracked and stained cups. When we first entered there was a very musty smell, maybe an air purifier might help. There was a lot of cobwebs outside. Inside the property was clean, the view lovely and the bird life enjoyed. I still would stay here again.

Great spot, house needs work!

It was a lovely location and perfect for what we needed. Beds comfortable enough, amenties all ok. I do however think the owner needs to invest some of the $300+ per night fee in this property as it is very poorly maintained. Also there is little point to having a fireplace if the wood is uncovered outside and wet... all it does is hiss, not light a fire!!! The ceiling above the fire looks like it coud collapse! When we went to leave our vehicle became stuck in a foot deep hole of mud, right beside where you park the cars where we were backing around.. very annoying and unnecessary if you just maintained it, applied some gravel etc... Small changes could greatly improve the property.. a splash of paint and some new curtains wouldn’t go astray.

Ver mixed depending on the room you sleep in

This is hard…. We really appreciated this lovely property and can see the owners would love it but its just not quite at the standard of hiring it out to travelers. Its more a property for the owners and their extended family to enjoy all their old quirky trinkets out of place and bad damp rising smells with lots of old junk that lie around. The actual house is ok with a lovely fire place that we enjoyed that was generously supplied with wood but many things are old and broken. The gardens/tress/outside area is unkept and overgrown with leaves everywhere. Basically the outside area was so unkept that we could not enjoy the outdoors (which is why we booked this property) The linen is fresh and clean. Some beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are ok. Water pressure is medium. The kitchen has an old smell, all plates bowls etc are so randomly spread out all over the kitchen its crazy and the kitchen is on a slope that made me feel like i was on a boat - not a good feeling. Their is a very old mouldy smell in the back bedroom of the house with the roof not intact. Their are possums living in the roof that make sleeping very hard as they make loud noises all night. The back bedroom is not habitable. It should not be include as rentable for this property.

Some things were great but I stayed in the sleepout where the doors to the outside didn't lock properly giving me no security . Also the multi box with a lead to another multi box to another lead to a light is a fire waiting to happen so I disconnected it . Some dodgy things going on

Must rent this lake front cottage!

Incredible stay at this well appointed, cozy and ideal lake front cottage. Firewood and kayaks provided. Felt like we were living outside with all of the glass patios and comfortable seating facing the lake. Black swans, ducks and birds abound! Hostess always available to answer questions. Florida, USA

Lakeside Birthday

What an amazing view of the lale we saw the sunrise each morning and jist watched the awans and ducks glude by. At night we lit the fire and it kept the house cozy and warm. Will definitely go back as it was such a tranquil calm setting.

Lovely holiday house

A great place for a family to stay. The only heating is the woodburner but it was toasty by the fire and there are hot water bottles for the bedrooms. Our family enjoyed the kayaks and the beautiful view, so close to the lakeside.
