This brand new cabin is located just 3 miles from downtown Mt Airy. We are a working horse stable and farm on 20 acres. It is a relaxing setting with views of the Blue Ridge Parkway which is close by to explore. We have an open floor plan with full kitchen, bath , king size bed and covered deck overlooking the horse pasture and pond.

Fantastic weekend getaway

We had a great weekend getaway at this lovely home. Everything we needed was available. The views were so refreshing. We spent the days in Mount Airy visiting the historic Andy Griffith sites. The local restaurants were amazing, thanks to suggestions from Penny and Gerry!

Great place to relax!

Very nice place to stay on a working horse farm. We loved watching the horses, chickens and ducks roaming around the property. The hosts were very hospitable and friendly.

Relaxing Retreat

Peaceful Place

This is just a great place to stay , the owners are great people and are there for anything you may need . With it being a working farm they enjoy showing you around . Great location,as you can get anywhere in the area in just minutes . We will be back again

Mt airy getaway

This was very peaceful and serene. Just what we needed for the weekend. Sitting on the porch watching the horses felt like in the mountains but only a couple miles away from downtown. Totally enjoyed and hosts were great. We’ll definitely book again.

Cabin chic

This cabin was the right combination of comfort and coziness. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the roosters crowing while watching the parade of horses from the deck. The location was great as it was a short drive to downtown Mt Airy Looking forward to renting this cabin again while exploring Mt Airy

Relaxing

Penny and Jerry’s place was great! It was so clean, bed was super comfortable, close to town, great porch with views of the horses, great place to have a cup of coffee in the morning. We enjoyed meeting Mr. Ed and Kentucky ❤️ Seeing the chickens and ducks and we adored Scout! I highly recommend their place.

Simply Serene

We had a perfect, 3 night stay at the Ranch at Mt. Airy. The ranch house had everything we needed to prep and cook our meals, and was nicely appointed. The king-sized bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in, especially while traveling, and the cicadas and katydids sang softly to us each night as we drifted off to a glorious night's sleep. We loved sitting out on the deck each morning and watching the horses graze. We had such a lovely stay!

Entertainment Galore!

What an entertaining, yet peaceful stay! First of all, we appreciated the offer of an early check in and the hosts were super friendly. We were invited to visit the stable when the horses were being fed, and we certainly took them up on their offer. Not only did we meet the horses, but we met the farm cat, Butter Bell. It was truly a joy having the view we had from our covered back porch. Made our morning coffee taste even better. If you’re looking for something laid back, unique, and peaceful, don’t hesitate to give this place a visit. It’s very close to Mt. Airy, too.

Relaxation

A wonderful spot for a quick getaway. The views were so relaxing from the deck. The inside was clean with a comfortable bed and a sofa as well as a great little kitchen and tools to cook should you choose. The owners were so very kind and also informative about where to visit in the area. We loved seeing and hearing the horses. Penny was so nice to have us down for a feeding and we learned about the individual horses. They are lucky to have her to care for them.

Convenient location out of town

Overall, very good. It was a pain when leaving and or arriving that I always had to get out of my car and open a swinging gate to drive through. Since it was raining most of the days I was there, that was not pleasant and often muddy. This was just a price to pay for the pleasant setting. My only other complaint, is that the shower was very small.

Quiet weekend

We stayed for a quick weekend away. The house was perfect for our needs, very quiet and peaceful. Very close to town, but felt very distant also. Sitting in the back porch in the evening was so relaxing, and watching the horses was nice. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Accommodations were comfortable and everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay!!
