Great house, great location

The location in Point Reyes Station is perfectly situated for visiting all parts of Point Reyes National Seaside and exploring the coast to the north and south. It is just a block away from the small downtown. Far enough to be quiet but just a few minutes walk to grab a coffee or dinner. The kitchen is well equipped. We cooked several meals during or week stay. The yard is covered with beautiful flowers and was frequently visited by hummingbirds. The hot tub is a great way to relax after a day of hiking or kayaking. The host communication was excellent and the binder of instructions was clear and complete.

What a jewel!

We had great communication with the owner. I vetted the property up front with her before booking.How refreshing to find full sets of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and bakeware that were in great condition.The interior was delightful and tasteful. Comfortable bed and linens. And plenty of common area to enjoy. It was so clean!Although in town, the quiet of PRS prevailed. Easy walking to stores and the wonderful preserve.The backyard amenities were quality and tasteful.I would book again.

Another Perfect Visit To The Cottage

Lavender Cottage has been our lodging of choice for many years and many stays. Eileen and Martin keep the cottage exceptionally clean, the kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. The backyard has a hot tub that is a favorite with our family, there is a big table to have outdoor meals in the summertime, and a gas grill that is always read to use. We love that Lavender Cottage is always quiet and peaceful but also walking distance to town. We like to walk in for groceries at Palace Market , pastries at Bovine, music at the Dance Palace, books at Point Reyes Books and great coffee at Toby’s. Point Reyes Station is just a couple of blocks long but it has a lot to offer. There is a great little hiking trail (around the barn) just 5 minutes from the house and many, many other hiking trails just a short drive from the cottage. We are always grateful to Eileen and Martin for welcoming us to what feels like our home away from home.

Perfect location!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Lavender House. It is a beautiful house with a lovely front garden and a perfect backyard with a hot tub nestled right below some jasmine- doesn’t get much better than that. The house is a block away from the adorable town and easy drives to Pt Reyes National Seashore.

A lovely respite

This cottage has all the comforts of home and is a short walk into town. It’s clean and well-appointed, with a lovely deck and backyard hot tub. Everything you could want!

Point Reyes Birding Festival Stat

We stayed at the Lavender House during the Point Reyes Birding Festival. It’s conveniently located near town yet very quiet and private. The house is spotless and filled with tasteful comfortable furniture. The kitchen has absolutely everything from coffee making supplies to outdoor serving ware. Both bedrooms have waffle weave cotton robes and slippers. Highly recommend.

Amazing cottage!

The two bedroom cottage is beautifully kept and large with two living spaces and a dining room. Every detail in the house is carefully thought out. Loved the backyard with flowers and well maintained hot tub. Terrific location walking distance to restaurants. Very responsive host. Would love to return.

Idyllic house and garden

The house is centrally located steps away from the main street of Point Reyes Station. The garden is lovely and the house is beautifully appointed with everything one could wish for a delightful stay.

Weekend getaway

The property is probably the nicest VRBO we have stayed at. It was clean, well stocked and well maintained. Our only complaint was that there was an odd smell. It wasn’t terrible but noticeable. We would stay there again.

Cozy Family Weekend

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2-year-old. We'd traveled in the area several times in the past, but this was our first time staying at Lavender House. In addition to the walking distance to nearby playground, shops, and restaurants, we enjoyed the hot tub, board games, and host-provided coffee. They also have toddler dishes, a high-chair, and step stool, which made our stay easier. We highly recommend buying ingredients for cooking breakfast, especially for early risers, since nearby options are limited. The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, and cozy, and we would stay here again on our next visit.

Charmed by Pt Reyes Station Cottage!

Wonderful cottage! Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated (including stunning orchids & local art) & comfortable, with a well-stocked, efficient kitchen. Thoughtful perks like robes & slippers for guest use! In an ideal location, both walking distance to restaurants & shops, as well as good access to Point Reyes National Seashore for hiking. Very responsive & helpful hosts. We're locals, & would return in a heartbeat!

Lavender cottage - perfectly maintained, well-appointed home in a convenient location

Very clean, well-appointed, cozy cottage that is perfect for a family of 4. Good access to hiking trails including tomales point trailhead (30 minute drive) and alamere falls (palomarin trailhead). Walking distance (3-5 minutes) to local grocery store, bakery and restaurants.

Friends weekend away

We enjoyed our stay! The house was bigger than anticipated and very comfortable & cozy. We lost power due to a storm, but still enjoyed our time together to the fullest. Would definitely return !

Elegant cozy home right near town

Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood but walking distance to the quaint town of Point Reyes Station. Lovely gardens and private hot tub. Tasteful decor. Lots of good books if you forgot yours! No smart tv and beds are double, not queen. But who cares, you are in coastal paradise. Try Tony’s Seafood in Marshall for the fresh oysters!
