Point Reyes Birding Festival Stat

We stayed at the Lavender House during the Point Reyes Birding Festival. It’s conveniently located near town yet very quiet and private. The house is spotless and filled with tasteful comfortable furniture. The kitchen has absolutely everything from coffee making supplies to outdoor serving ware. Both bedrooms have waffle weave cotton robes and slippers. Highly recommend.

Amazing cottage!

The two bedroom cottage is beautifully kept and large with two living spaces and a dining room. Every detail in the house is carefully thought out. Loved the backyard with flowers and well maintained hot tub. Terrific location walking distance to restaurants. Very responsive host. Would love to return.

Idyllic house and garden

The house is centrally located steps away from the main street of Point Reyes Station. The garden is lovely and the house is beautifully appointed with everything one could wish for a delightful stay.

Weekend getaway

The property is probably the nicest VRBO we have stayed at. It was clean, well stocked and well maintained. Our only complaint was that there was an odd smell. It wasn’t terrible but noticeable. We would stay there again.

Cozy Family Weekend

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2-year-old. We'd traveled in the area several times in the past, but this was our first time staying at Lavender House. In addition to the walking distance to nearby playground, shops, and restaurants, we enjoyed the hot tub, board games, and host-provided coffee. They also have toddler dishes, a high-chair, and step stool, which made our stay easier. We highly recommend buying ingredients for cooking breakfast, especially for early risers, since nearby options are limited. The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, and cozy, and we would stay here again on our next visit.

Charmed by Pt Reyes Station Cottage!

Wonderful cottage! Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated (including stunning orchids & local art) & comfortable, with a well-stocked, efficient kitchen. Thoughtful perks like robes & slippers for guest use! In an ideal location, both walking distance to restaurants & shops, as well as good access to Point Reyes National Seashore for hiking. Very responsive & helpful hosts. We're locals, & would return in a heartbeat!

Lavender cottage - perfectly maintained, well-appointed home in a convenient location

Very clean, well-appointed, cozy cottage that is perfect for a family of 4. Good access to hiking trails including tomales point trailhead (30 minute drive) and alamere falls (palomarin trailhead). Walking distance (3-5 minutes) to local grocery store, bakery and restaurants.

Friends weekend away

We enjoyed our stay! The house was bigger than anticipated and very comfortable & cozy. We lost power due to a storm, but still enjoyed our time together to the fullest. Would definitely return !

Elegant cozy home right near town

Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood but walking distance to the quaint town of Point Reyes Station. Lovely gardens and private hot tub. Tasteful decor. Lots of good books if you forgot yours! No smart tv and beds are double, not queen. But who cares, you are in coastal paradise. Try Tony’s Seafood in Marshall for the fresh oysters!

Beautiful house and stay.

Home is really perfect for a small family. It's clean and quiet. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was well stocked, and when I go back (definitely will try), I'll make more use of it and the local markets including the local sea food. That said, the short walk to town was appreciated after a long day of hiking as was the hot tub. Best I've seen.

Grateful for the lovely stay while staying at Mesa refuge

Lavender house is a beautiful quiet well equipped comfortable place to stay in point Reyes. We stayed there when my family came to visit me while I was in residence at Mesa refuge I recommend it highly.

Yet Another Serene Stay in the Lavender Cottage

The cottage is well appointed and perfectly set up as a vacation rental. Lovely gardens, comfortable furnishings. The cottage is just a few steps from the Point Reyes Station village. The hosts are attentive to every need and easy to communicate with. They are locals with a great regard for Point Reyes. You'll feel at home--and like so many, you will return again as we often do.

The Best Point Reyes Cottage

This is the first VRBO that exceeded my expectations. The location is amazing. They have thought of everything. I love this place so much! If ever I am in this area again, I will be seeing if this place is available.

A truly wonderful place

There are a ton of great things to say about this house: how well appointed it is, the hosts, its location, the yard, the hot tub, the layout of the house, and the quality of the bedding. There are also things that are hard to name because this house just has a special feeling to it.... like it has been loved and cared for, and it longs to give back. My wife and I came here for our 5 year anniversary weekend with our 2 kids and had a great weekend. I can't say enough how grateful we are to have stayed here. We will be booking this place again in the future, multiple times. The photos don't do it justice and photos cannot even capture its charm and setup. Add on top of that, Eileen and Martin are terrific hosts and excellent communicators. We had a few hiccups before the trip and Eileen and Martin were patient and offered flexibility as I worked through some scheduling issues. 5 stars doesn't suffice, but there is no option to give more than 5 stars. I would if I could.

A lovely home

We have stayed at several vacation rentals in Point Reyes and all were very nice. The Lavender House Cottage was by far the nicest. The house was incredibly well cared for. The furnishings are first rate, and the kitchen is well appointed, The yard is beautiful, I loved sitting on the front stairs while the butterflies fluttered by. The backyard is peaceful and serene. All this and it is located two blocks from Main St. I would recommend this house to anyone and will be sure to check it’s availability on any future trip to the area. Thank you Eileen and Martin

Wonderful stay

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Lavender Cottage. We have stayed there several times before and were so happy to be back. The location is great (easy walking distance to town and quick drive to hiking trails). And the cottage itself was very comfortable and offered everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We look forward to returning soon!

Beautiful haven

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. Everything was as described and the hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. The house was a perfect location to use as a base for our family to explore Point Reyes National Seashore. We hope to return soon!
