My wife and I spent a month here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Some of the interior photos on VRBO are a little blurry, and if anything the real thing is nicer than the photos. The condo is actually a duplex, like all the properties in the resort. There are many different floor plans. Ours was much nicer and larger than the other side, as we visited next door one evening. The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are separated from each other by the living room and kitchen and it worked out perfectly for company as we had some friends join us for some of the time. It seemed to be a really good combination of “Retro and Reno.” Obviously you need to shop when you are anywhere for a month, but we found Andrea had it well stocked with towels, linens and supplies on our arrival. The patio is huge, and well equipped for sun tanning and entertaining. We did both, and we used the barbecue the majority of the time for dinner meals.
A very pleasant surprise was the attached two car garage. The website only stated parking was available and many at the resort are only equipped with carports or parking pads. We kept all our golf clubs, pool toys and other debris out of the way and not taking up space inside, and our car was always cool and out of the sun. Another bonus we found was use of the land line telephone. We checked with Andrea and she said it was okay to use it, as they had a plan for US and Canada. The Wi-Fi service was good and we used it for data on our laptops and phones. The resort has a very nice clubhouse, with entertainment on the weekend and the opportunity for a few dances and beer. We liked the “crooner” on Saturday more than the country guy on Friday, and a chance to do something different. We don’t mind heat, and golf in the afternoons was quite reasonable around 2:00 through Golf Now or Tee Off. The “twilight” rate though the course doesn’t start until 4:00 despite what their website says.
Security at the front gate is reassuring, and you can walk for miles without ever leaving the gated resort property. There are 20 pools in the complex, and there is a really quiet one close, just to the right of the resort entrance. The location in Palm Desert is great. Freedom Park across the street is very nice, and they have playgrounds and a number of tennis and pickleball courts. Close to shopping, including Costco! We had a wonderful time and hope to go again in the future. Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations!.
