This large and very well-complimented 6-bedroom home is such a great winter or summer getaway for the whole family. The house is situated in the perfect location for skiing Heavenly Valley, just 3/4 of a mile from the Heavenly-Boulder ski lift, and just 1.6 miles to the Heavenly-Stagecoach lift!

Not a skier? This house has a beautiful, large property for winter family fun, with an epic private sledding hill in the back yard! The gorgeous pine trees make you feel like you're in a winter wonderland when it snows.

The location is also ideal for driving (or Uber-ing) to downtown's great casinos, Heavenly Village and the scenic Gondola, the brand new Event Center 'Tahoe Blue', and numerous amazing shops and restaurants, not to mention gorgeous Lake Tahoe!

In the summertime, borrow our lawn chairs and cooler and head to the beach. If you love hiking, our home is only 2 miles from the Tahoe Rim Trail-Kingsbury North Trailhead. There is so much outdoor fun in the summer, this is the perfect spot!

There are 2 living rooms, one up and one down, plus a game room complete with a pool table, foosball, and darts on the lower level. The upper level kitchen is open to the living and dining rooms and can accommodate 12 people, along with a cozy fireplace, bar, and flat screen TV, which makes this a great space to gather. Cable and fast wireless internet along with Roku are included. Bedroom 1 is the Master bedroom with a king bed, a smart TV, and a full private bathroom. Bedroom 2 has one queen and one full bed. Bedroom 3 has one queen bed. There is a shared full bathroom in the hallway.

The lower level has another living room with a flat screen TV with cable, Play Station 3. Bedroom 4 is the second master with a queen bed, a smart TV, and a full private bathroom. Bedroom 5 has one full bed and one twin bed. Bedroom 6 has one full bed and one twin bed, with a shared full bathroom in the hallway. The laundry room is also on this level.

The large deck off the upper level kitchen and dining area has a gas grill, and a great bird's eye view of the pine trees.

Amazing Stay!

We got the extended family (teenagers through grandparents) together for the Christmas holiday at Jackie's place and it could not have been better.Jackie was communicative throughout the entire process and even left us some treats at check-in. There was plenty of space and all the amenities that you could want/need. Proximity to Heavenly and the Village were an added bonus.Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Fantastic House with lots of room!

Second time staying at the Castro Lodge and it is perfect for big groups. Jackie is super easy to work with and ensures the house is ready for you stay. Place was very clean, huge patio to hangout and location is great. Easy to get to Casinos, bars and restaurants!

We had such a great time! The kitchen was small but well stocked and the long dining room table was perfect for us. The kids loved the sleds provided and had a great time in the downstairs rec room. The living room was comfortable and very functional.

Lovely retreat

The house was perfect for our group, allowing everyone to get their own bed without sharing. One of the few houses I could find that even offered a table large enough for us to all sit at the same time to eat.

Ideal multi-family get-away

This home is nearly identical on first and second floors with three bedrooms on each (including a master on both floors). This allowed us to have three families with kids and make the upstairs "adult zone" and downstairs "kid zone". With a TV and game room downstairs, the kids were able to hang out on their own while the adults occupied the kitchen and living room upstairs.As for the basics, this place was also solid. Comfy beds, lots of pillows and comfy blankets, new washer/dryer, and kitchen with plenty of dishes and cookware.The host, Jackie, was great with communication and even checked in with us when the neighbors shared the backyard sled hill to make sure our privacy was being respected.The deck above the three-car garage was huge and we are considering coming back in the summer months when we can enjoy it (it was covered with snow during our January visit).

Great Lodge

The property may seem a bit out dated but the host made the lodge very modern touches like a mini bar, welcome package and many extra utensils that we wouldn’t think we would need. The check-in process was fast and the host was very accommodating. The location was perfect, only less than 10min away from Stateline casinos and Heavenly Shopping Center. During the snow season, chains or 4x4 vehicles are definitely needed to be in this neoghborhood. My family enjoyed the stay!

Heaven at Heavenly

This house and location were perfect for our family ski vacation. Game room worked out perfectly for keeping kids and adults busy during a few days of heavy snow. The hill and sledding behind house provided ample amounts of fun for all kids old and young when slopes were closed for a few days during weather event. Perfect location and local market within walking distance. Easy commute to ski lifts at Boulder and Stagecoach. Beds slept great I have nothing negative to say about the accommodations or the owners this place was perfect for us and would be my choice for any future trips to Stateline Tahoe area. We received snow amounts which completely covered 2 large SUV's and the snow removal guys showed up during hazard road conditions to dig us out so much appreciated.

Owner is blaming us for a broken lock & door & it was not even us!

We just checked out yesterday & today the Owner is blaming us for a broken laundry room lock & door & it was not even us! We have a very responsible crew that was there & I assure you we did NOT break that lock or door! Yesterday when we were packing up to leave we were trying to put all the towels in the laundry room per her instructions & the laundry room door was locked!! We did not even open the door. We better not be charged for anything!"

Almost perfect!

This was an overall great spot for our group of friends 4 day Tahoe trip, during which we went hiking at the bi-state park, boating, walking at the lakefront and going to casinos. At the house, we enjoyed cooking together, eating together at the big tables inside and outside, watching tv together and playing pool, fooseball and darts downstairs. Cooler and beach towels came in handy when we went to the waterfront. Beds were comfortable. A few criticisms: We found the upstairs to be a bit warm, especially in the afternoon and evening. In the kitchen/ dining area, We wanted to open the window to help but there were gaps in between the frame and screen that let bugs in, like tiny flies and mosquitoes, so we kept it closed, sat near the sliding screen or sat outside. A circulating fan for the shared space and bedrooms would have been helpful. We saw a few bugs in the bedrooms and bathrooms, like spiders and ants. Some bedrooms had stains on the sheets. One fitted sheet had what appeared to be plastic melted onto the fabric. One guest got scratched by it. Lighting could be improved in the bedrooms, like recessed lighting or a taller lamp.

Perfect house for a group get away

We rented this home for 4 nights with 5 families and it was perfect! Great setup with bedrooms away from living room areas, really close to Heavenly, and it has a fantastic sledding hill in the backyard. Communication with home manager was fast. Would stay here again. Thank you!

The best vacation rental I ever met

In short, I cannot be more satisfied with Jackie’s house. It is clean, cozy, and comfortable, and it looks way better than the online picture. If I was the owner, I will update the pictures so more people can enjoy it. Its location is very convenient, 12 min drive to Heavenly Ski Resort, 12 min to downtown stores and restaurants. I don’t know how Jackie can manage to response my message so quickly. The information I received is precise, friendly and generous. The contract clearly mentioned everything that need to be aware for arrival and departure. Everything works well. The communication between me and Jackie is fast and efficient. I just want to leave several comments for the people and me(as reminder cause I will surely come back again) that is reviewing this house: 1. Drive a 4wd or bring a snow chain(and learn how to install it) if you come in winter. Snow plow did a very good job, but they cannot clear every tiny spot on the ground. 2. Bring a small humidifier if you travel with kids in winter. Tahoe air is so dry which can cause the bleeding nose for kids. 3. Shopping around, compare, and come back to rent this place. Thank you Jackie and your lodge.

Landgraf family had a blast

Excellent all around. The incredible roof top patio was a surprise and a treasure. More than enough chairs, games, pots pans, etc for 14 people. No squabbles over bathrooms because there were plenty. And the stars at night were exquisite

Had a great time. Jackie was very easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. Listing was accurate. No A/C did make the nights a bit warm as this was July. Great location. Overall great place to stay!
