It was a great experience! The cabin is so relaxing and the neighborhood is quiet. Such a great place to take your family and enjoy not just the view but all the great activities you can do with the family.

A cozy cabin

This cabin was a great stay. The location/neighborhood is very nice and is it not too far from lake Tahoe itself. The instructions and contract were laid out very clearly so I didn't need to ask very many questions. The cabin itself was very clean and there were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows for everyone. And if I did have any questions the host was quick to answer.

Great property and a great owner

We all had a good time at this place. A lot of snow gear for use, though we didn't end up using any. Victoria is very responsive and always willing to help out with any request. Instructions were clearly posted everywhere. Close to Tahoe and Palisades. Highly recommend!

Spacious family retreat

Enjoyed a week day stay at this spacious, homey family retreat. Arrived in the midst of heavy winter weather. Host was accommodating of a delayed arrive due to weather. Access was a little difficult due to tremendous snow build up. Our family enjoyed the comfortable living area and available games. Preparation for travel (AWD, chains) a must.

Unexpected cozy stay

What can we say, we were going into this thinking we would be indoor camping, but this place although “out of date & a bit run down” has it charm. It’s clean, it’s not perfect, stains on sheets, but if you are ok with a few imperfections then this place definitely works! They have so many linens, towels, blankets you name it. We attended a festival at palisades and had 9 adults, we forgot to make advance reservation and had limited options for our large group. Everyone had a place and there was still enough room for plenty more. You’re very close to Squaw and alpine meadows. Definitely worth staying again! Oh and the host is very attentive and available. Thank you again!

Beautiful mountain house for large group. Any season

Great residential location close to ski resorts with a backyard for snow play. Myself and another dad took 4 kids for a snow trip. Everyone had a great time. We loved the layout of the house. So many sleeping options, especially for the young folks who want to break into smaller groups. Lots of great sitting/social areas in the house including a nice open fireplace. Love the large dining table. Like the listing says, "...who needs granite counters...", the finishing touches are not overdone for a mountain cabin, which reflects well in the price. We planned to stay two nights. It was VERY cold and a pipe burst while we were out during the day. Things like this happen, and although we were bummed to leave early the owners refunded everything (cleaning, fees, rental) except the 1st night's rental fee. The only reason I give 4 starts for check-in is because the process is complex due to the bears and winterizing the house water supply. Not a big deal for me (country boy), but might put other off a bit. Can't wait to stay here again with a larger group for a longer trip.

The property is really spacious, you can fit your family there at your vacation. I recommend you this property for your vacation. I will use this property again in the summer and winter if God let us do it.

Great place for family with kids

We enjoyed our stay. This place has a nice set up for families of all ages with rooms to spread out. It is dated but in ways that give the place a cozy feel. We had a huge snowstorm right before we came which affected the cleaner coming and communication but it was all resolved in the end and we had a great time.

Thanksgiving 2021

The property was beautifully located between Squaw Valley and Lake Tahoe (just outside of Truckee). It was clean upon arrival and spacious enough to accommodate our party of 12. Everything worked great and the property felt comfortable and inviting. We communicated to the host about a clog in the shower, and they were able to get a plumber out that day, which happened to be Thanksgiving. I was very impressed at how quickly this minor problem was resolved. Overall, I was impressed with everything, from the property, to the communication with the hosts. It made for a relaxing much needed vacation and I would certainly stay here again.

Great place

When we walked in we were really impresssed with the amount of amenities, it made our stay way more enjoyable. I loved the kitchen and we enjoyed cooking there a few times. I also LOVED the amount of notices around the property just in case we had questions. Overall the managers were very informative and quick to answer my questions. They did not leave me in the dark. We did notice the following but I was informed by the property managers that the previous renters did cause a bit of damage: - silly string around the yard - the handles on the shower in the lower floor were hard to manage - the hook loop on the door frame for the screen door fell. We put it back. Overall our stay was great and we were thankful for being informed.

Great stay!

Very cozy home with plenty of space! Comfortable and utilitarian, and loved the sledding hill in the back of the property! Stayed with a bunch friends and a dog, and everyone enjoyed the space!

Great family house

Sledding outside, family dinners and a huge table for game nights. Everything works, wonderful hot water. Quiet neighborhood close to skiing. Games and puzzles, tv and wifi. Definitely staying here again!

Nice place for a Tahoe getaway

Rustic place, clean, spacious, and in a nice neighborhood. Minutes from the Truckee river run and close to Tahoe city. Proximity to Lake Tahoe.
