Has potential buttttt!
Upon arriving and at first glance we were super impressed. Once we got all of our luggage in and started settling in for the evening, we discovered a snackable that had been tossed behind the main TV with mouse feces and bugs mixed in it. We notified the owner and she did offer to reimburse us for cleaning supplies which made us very happy. We passed up the offer for the cleaning supplies since she was so responsive to that. The next issue was the pool and the outside area. The pool was green and and dingy ( both pools in houses beside us were crystal clear). There were roof shingles all over our yard and flower beds. There was broken glass on the floor in the screened in porch area. We finally asked that the pool be cleaned which happened right away. We started noticing that someone had taken what appeared to be a large basketball and caused quite a bit of damage to the doors. They were very high and doubted that it was a fist or anything like that. We had our two grandchildren, age four and six in the really cute Star Wars room. On the day our grown kids left with the two Grands, they pulled the cover back to strip bed and noticed horrible looking red dryed vomit looking substance on both beds. We knew it wasn't our grandchildren as neither one got sick and the fact that it was at the bottom of the bed. We all were so grossed out by that point that we didn't know what to do. We called the management company and they offered to come change the bedding but by then, the kids had left with the two little ones. They never apologized or offered an explanation as to what had happened. The screen to the sliding door was torn with a huge hole and the sliding door lock was broke which was taken care of after reporting but not the screen. The Resort pool was phenomenal and we really enjoyed spending time there. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances worked. I would highly recommend a new griddle as ours was wore out and all the food stuck to the surface. This property has the potential to be a premiere property, but until someone comes in and inspects the housekeepers work and looks the house over for damage caused by disrespectful renters, it will only be subpar in our opinion. The decorations and interior design were spectacular, plus the beds were extremely comfortable. The bed linen fiasco is why we gave it a one star and not a three star.
