EASY WINTER ACCESS!! Enjoy this cozy cabin with two master suites, a screened porch overlooking the tranquil sounds of rushing waters. Relax by the outside fireplace as nature surrounds you or sit by the creek side firepit as you roast marshmallows. Seasonal mountain views combined with rushing waters draws you outside as stress washes away. Inside, smell the coffee percolating at your own coffee bar or just spend the day wrapped in luxury bedding. Feeling adventurous, spend the day on the nearby lake fishing or kayaking or take a hike on the trail that runs right by the cabin. Twelve wineries nearby as well as many restaurants to satisfy your taste buds. Conveniently located halfway between Ellijay and Blue Ridge, you will have plenty to do. Sipping your favorite beverage with your friends or family by the fire immersed in the sounds of rushing waters may all you ever need. Easily accessible for any car or truck with paved roads.

To make your time at The Blissful Bear even more blissful and hassle free we provide delivery service. If you would like to have your groceries waiting for you when you arrive, or if you are celebrating a special event and would like a specific item to be waiting for you, or any special request, we have you covered!!

The cabin was beautiful and cozy. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable.We enjoyed the treehouse and eating dinner on the screened in porch in the rain.

Such a beautiful place, spent a lot of time in the treehouse listening to the rain, enjoying the fresh air. The cabin was super clean, the coffee bar was such a nice touch and the beds were super comfortable! Will return to the Blissful Bear!

The cabin was perfect, so beautiful, peaceful, and well-equipped. Loved and used all outdoor spaces. The gurgling stream below the property was so soothing. All lthe trees and foliage made it feel as if you were staying in a tree house. I enjoyed walking up and down the neighborhood hilly streets. We loved our stay.

Blissful Bear Blissful Honeymoon

As very active, well traveled 60 year olds wanting to "check out" and relax, this was so perfect! Coffee on the screened in porch and by the fireside in the tree house throughout the day was perfect. The soothing sounds of the creek and easy hike from the property to the lake were fun. Walking in the sparsely populated neighborhood yielded beautiful woods and some mountain views. Lots of nearby towns to explore - including the Big Food museum for bragging rights to grand kids. We hope to go back! (Linens, towels, kitchen, etc. were nice.)

Snowed in!

It snowed
in Ga
the weekend we stayed. But it was perfect!! The owner himself was in constant contact with us to make sure we felt safe and was genuinely concerned about our safety above everything else. This place was absolutely perfect! The cabin is gorgeous, very well maintained, very clean, and I can’t recommend it enough! We will definitely be back!!

Worth it

Its always great to stay at a property where the owner goes above and beyond to make it worth your while. We use VRBO a lot for travel baseball and this is one of our favorites! The bed were very comfortable and the owner was very friendly. 10/10 and will go back if we have the opportunity!

Awesome cabin!!!

Great location
 very clean and well maintained
 My favorite amenity was the outdoor fireplace and covered sitting area
 it rained a lot during our stay but we were able to enjoy being outside and cozy thanks to the covered fireplace area
 loved the sound of the stream running below
 we didn’t get to use it but the outside fire pit was a nice touch as well
 we have zero complaints
 everything you could need to enjoy a relaxing vacation/ get away is right there
 I highly recommend the blissful bear cabin.

Very relaxing

We loved our stay at the Blissful Bear! The kitchen was stocked with anything you could hope for and the coffee bar was next level! The treehouse porch was our kids favorite thing. Communication with Ed was a snap. We lost internet for a couple hours due to storms, but Ed quickly helped walk us through resetting the modem and all was good again.

My husband and I enjoyed staying in your beautiful home in North Georgia very much! It was relaxing and peaceful. The weather turned cool during our stay, and we enjoyed those nightly fires in the fireplace! Leaves are changing, everyday more color showed. I didn’t know leaf peeping was so much fun! Loved Engelheim Vineyard, and the Cajun Depot Grill was our fave! Thanks for sharing your little bit of Heaven in the mountains with us. We will be back!

Family Weekend Away

We’ve been to Blue Ridge/Ellijay many times over the years and The Blissful Bear may be one of my favorite places yet. The owners have taken extra time to make sure even the smallest of details is provided. The cabin was fully decorated for Christmas and made for sweet memories on our first family trip with our baby boy. Can’t recommend this place enough! Location, cleanliness, responsive hosts, and a perfect mountain retreat. We hope to be back soon!

If you are looking for a serene sanctuary to unwind - the Blissful Bear has it all! The cabin is situated on a beautiful, wooded plot overlooking a running creek. The sounds of water, birds and scenery are magnificent. The communication was flawless - timely and on point, and like many guests already mentioned - no detail was overlooked to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We had an incredible stay, and we appreciated every thought that went into creating this experience and delivering an exceptional hospitality. :)

Best get a way yet

The pictures online do not do this cabin ans property justice. The home is so well stocked and ready for a family. From the smores kit to family Jenga and Cornhole you couldn't go wrong just hanging out at the fireplace in the treehouse, enjoying the sound of the stream and wind in the leaves. The fully stocked coffee bar was the best surprise. Absolutely a perfect place for our family of 4. We will return.

Blissful time at Blissful Bear

5/9 - 5/16, 2022: Had a wonderful, restful time at the cabin. Loved the treehouse and the fireplace. Morning coffee in the treehouse was a must every morning. This was our first experience staying in a cabin for a vacation. Blissful Bear has set the bar high. It will be hard to beat. The hosts thought of every detail and we appreciated their thoughtfulness. Enjoyed the area especially the waterfalls. Beautiful place! Exceptional!

A Gem for sure!

My wife and i booked this cabin simply because of the look/feel of the property. We spent most of our days searching and visiting many properties in GA and NC. When at the cabin, we spent a lot of time in the Gazebo. What a great assist to the property this is. Wherever i decide to call home i will have something similar for sure! Only warning to future guests is parking. There is room for parking but is difficult with a full size crew cab Silverado. Would stay again for sure.

Bliss!!!

This cabin was perfect for 2 couples!!! We spent most of our time outside!! Thanks so much for the wood!! And the stream outside was beautiful music to our ears. This place was one of my favorites. The well stocked spice cabinet with anything you needed.. omg and the coffee bar..😉 the s’mores bag was perfect!!! I really don’t want to recommend it because I may not get to come back.. it will be booked.. we really never wanted to leave the BLISSFUL BEARâ€ïžđŸ˜˜Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us ..

Look no further. This is the one.

We stayed here for a week and it felt like I was at a family member’s place. I usually pack cleaning supplies and a candle where ever we stay because I don’t trust what places advertise. They 100% delivered. It was clean comfortable and thought of all the odds and ends to make it special. I LOVED STAYING HERE. Every night we were in the treehouse playing games, s’mores and laughing by the fire. Treehouse mornings were with coffee and a book. I already recommended our cabin to friends. These hosts are doing it right!! Thank you so much for extending your kindness to us. What a great place to stay!

Fantastic Cabin!!!

Relaxing cabin, the treehouse is great! Spent a lot of time out there enjoying the sounds of nature. The cabin was clean and easy to find. The emergency generator was a godsend as the power went out during a storm on our second night. I’d just began cooking dinner and was really pleased that I was able to continue after 15-30 seconds. Not a big deal but the trail behind the cabin is largely nonexistent, it’s grown over and impossible to follow due to lack of use. We’d definitely stay here again, most likely in the fall or winter where burning a fire would be more attractive. The cabin was well stocked although we donated a large skillet to the cabin as I needed it to cook a meal.

Fantastic Vacation Area

What a wonderful and relaxing choice this was for our family vacation. First, this was the cleanest and most well kept place we’ve ever rented. The cabin just had so many things we loved about it: comfortable beds, covered outdoor seating areas so we could still enjoy being outdoors even if it rained, and cozy indoors for late movie watching. Although everything about this home was exceptional, we would have to say the treehouse was our favorite area, and we really enjoyed sitting around the treehouse fireplace in the evenings. The coffee and hot chocolate bar was a great perk, and all of the other nice touches like quality bedding, towels, shampoo and conditioner to name a few, really made packing for this trip so easy. We found the surrounding area to be a beautiful part of the country
we like to do some hiking on vacations, and the host had great suggestions for us to check out in the area. We loved Fort Mountain State Park and Amicalola Falls - both were beautiful places to check out. We stopped in at Reece’s Cider Company for some of their delicious hard cider, and also had a great BBQ dinner at The Pink Pig. This vacation rental far exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to to come back :)
