The Black Pearl: industrial condo sleeps 6, full size kitchen & scenic views!

The Black Pearl receives its name from being located right on the Black River leading out to beautiful Lake Michigan along with the fun industrial and lake vibe. The Black Pearl is located within the Colonial Condominiums. The Colonial Condominiums were originally built in the early 1900's as a hotel. It offers the perfect blend of historic charm and modern convenience in beautiful South Haven. Located within walking distance to the pristine beaches of Lake Michigan, the Colonial Condominiums are centrally located for easy access to local restaurants, shopping and outdoor recreation.

The Black Pearl includes:
-Flat screen tv
-Wireless Internet provided by the association
-Coin operated laundry in basement
-Nearby off-site parking for 3 vehicles
-Weekly rentals

The condo was remodeled and combines both unit 10 & 11. The entrance into the unit is through unit 10. The Black Pearl features:

-2 bedrooms
-2 full bathrooms
-High ceilings
-3 queen-sized beds
-Full kitchen
-Communal large deck on the Black River and overlooking Lake Michigan
*all condos, buildings and decks are non-smoking

Please note that due to the Black Pearl being located in downtown, Summer evenings and some weekends in the Spring and Fall can get a bit noisy.

Due to cold weather and constant rain we stayed inside the condo more than planned. We found the furniture in the living area very uncomfortable and less than adequate for four adults. The TV was mounted so high we had to crane our necks to watch it. We were asked not to move any furniture so all four of us couldn’t watch the TV at the same time.The bedrooms and baths were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the welcome bag was much appreciated.

Great location to both beaches/lighthouses and walking distance to downtown SH. The condo was tastefully decorated with a lake theme. Beds were very comfortable! Nice furniture and kitchen area had ample seating around the bar and table for the four of us. We will definitely book again. Stephanie provided info for condo and surrounding cities. Only hiccup was the condo door keypad didn’t work (likely low battery),but access to keys so no issue. Parking was very close to the building. Thanks for the nice stay!

Winter Getaway

Used this property as home base while shopping for wedding venues in the surrounding area. Condo is as described, very clean and conveniently located with the Property Owner very responsive. Highly recommend staying here.

Historic get away

We have walked past the building this condo is housed in for years. It was great to learn about its history! The Black Pearl is well appointed and cozy. Terrific decor. Great location
an easy walk to both South Haven and the North Beach area.

Lovely! Comfortable stay in a great location

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean and comfortable and was just as nice and spacious as it appeared in the listing. Also, the host was very professional, kind, and responsive (not that we needed her for anything). We would stay there again!

Wonderful!

Overall, it was a great place to stay! Everything was clean, well organized, and decorated nicely. We really enjoyed getting to know the town of South Haven. Restaurants and local shops were all within walking distance. We can't wait to visit again!

Awesome stay!

The condo was better than imagined...had everything you would need for your stay and then some. Condo is well maintained and is close to everything in town. We walked to shops and restaurants. The drive to the wineries was not that far either and we loved the outside deck area in the evening. Would definitely stay there again!!

New Years Weekend

My wife and I came with another couple over New Years. The Black Pearl was really nice. The location was perfect we walked everywhere. The size of the bedrooms and the living area was perfect for the four of us. The interior was well done and we had a wonderful time during our stay. We had good communication from the owner and highly recommend the Black Pearl.

Excellent location - central to beach and downtown. Very nice deck overlooking river. Condo was renovated and setup nicely - just like the pictures. Was great for our group of friends since this is two units combined into one larger unit. Owner was very timely and responsive to questions. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

A Gem in South Haven!

A gem in South Haven! Just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, and more. We were also spoiled by the large private deck that overlooks the Black River. Perfect for watching the sunset with drinks or dessert :) The condo is beautifully updated and our host Stephanie was the best! We arrived to find a little welcome bag with some of our favorite goodies. Can't wait to come back!

Summer Family Vacation

Location! Location! Location! The condo was wonderful! It is in the center of everything. Walking distance to the restaurants and beaches. The kitchen and main room were great for hanging out with the family. Beds were comfortable. The condo parking lot passes were great as we didn't have to worry about finding a parking spot, which can be huge headache in the summer. Stephanie (host) was wonderful to deal with and she answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this place. I am looking forward to our next visit to South Haven as I definitely be staying at this place again.

Looks just like information on VRBO’s sight

Had very enjoyable week. Rough start weather wise but before mid week turned gorgeous. Was a little disappointed on the information on the grill. Once we found it and the location of it made us a little skeptical about using it. Other than that we could not have had a better time. The owner Stephanie was great getting all our questions answered and not only that she was willing to go above and beyond the call of duty by offering to bring some items we left behind at check out to her home town so we could pick it up there instead of driving back to South Haven. A+ on rating

Hello and thank you for considering staying at The Black Pearl! We are the Williamsons (Brandon & Stephanie) and grew up right on the boarder of Michigan and Indiana. Growing up, both of our families visited Lake Michigan often so we naturally fell in love with the lake and surrounding beach towns. We are high school sweethearts and tied the knot in 2014. We absolutely love traveling and meeting new people and experiencing other cultures. Both of us are in customer service related roles and strive to provide the best experience. Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We decided to purchase this home as every weekend we would find ourselves in the beach towns and beaches of Lake Michigan. Life can become busy and hectic and for me there is no better way to relax then hearing the waves crash on the shore line and the sand between my toes. This property was previously listed with Vrbo and received excellent reviews and we look to continue offering the same exceptional experience.

The Black Pearl is perfectly located within a short walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. South Haven has many wonderful local shops and restaurants. The community deck offers individuals to sit and watch the boats coming and going from Lake Michigan and watch the sunset. The condo itself has been beautifully updated with modern conveniences.
