Had a great stay here during the Birkie weekend! Check-in was a little bumpy due to a missing key and no spare, but afterwards we had a wonderful experience. The space was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The only thing that could make it better would be if they got the hot tub up and running! Kari went above and beyond when my brother left behind some baggage, making sure it was mailed back to him. Thank you, Kari!!

Family Fun

Great location for a fun relaxing family vacation. The kids can jet ski (we bring our own machine but they have a place to tie up) and our own pontoon for the week. Great location on the water. The kids can fish, float, swim. We can check out the other bars and restaurants on the flowage. Stop at a beach for the day and enjoy the beautiful weather. Made most of our meals at the house or over the campfire. Within walking distance to pats landing and the chief bar and grill. Will definitely return!

The house is well maintained. The pictures fail to show how nice this property is. The management company is great to work with.

Last minute cancellation

I’m sure it would have been great, but they canceled on us a month before our stay this summer. We had to scramble to find an alternate location on the Flowage at that late date. Very disappointed this happened. Be aware when renting private residences that they can cancel at anytime.

Not what I was expecting

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: $1M view and location. Disappointed in the details. Felt run down like the owner is squeezing every dollar out of the $6K rental. Interior not updated. Issues with clothes dryer, ventilation/air conditioning/dehumidifier (felt damp with a mildew smell), carpet looked dirty, kitchen was barebones, cheapest items bought at garage sales or the thrift store, kitchen cabinets not tracking, shower head in master bath needs to be replaced, dock/lift left damage on gel coat, grill was dirty/rusty. For what we paid could have rented two cabins elsewhere on the Flowage- Pats Landing down the block for example. Will not stay again.

Our time at the Chief Lake cabin was excellent. The house was large enough to accommodate the 5 adults and 2 children we had. We didn't feel like we were on top of each other all week. It was also very clean upon our arrival. The 2 fridge/freezers were super convenient. Being right on the lake was also great. We rented a pontoon through them and were able to enjoy that and go fishing. The fishing on the lake and even off the dock was great as well! Our kids had a blast! The property does not include any sort of beach so you can't walk into the water easily as there is a concrete and rock wall. We decided to drive to the middle of the lake and the kids jumped off the boat and swam that way, which was also a blast. Having the firepit right along the lake was super enjoyable as well. Kari was very helpful and responsive anytime I reached out with questions. The only part that wasn't ideal were the squeaky beds in the bunk room. Both the large bed and the bunk beds squeaked loudly every time we moved. However, we would definitely visit this property again!

Clean and immaculately taken care of. We look forward to returning next summer to this same cabin.Maybe fix the hot tub? Maybe some landscaping?
