Amazing experience!

The Whaler is the perfect place to stay and this unit was outstanding. The layout is perfect, the funrniture is beautiful and comfortable and the location is ideal. This condo comes with everything you could possibly need, along with extra items for the beach. I can't recommend this more strongly.

Beautiful condo

This is a very nice updated condo. Kitchen well equipped, fast wifi, and pretty ocean views from the lanai. Great location close to some good restaurants. The property’s pool is a bit small but the beach is directly across from the pool. Unit has beach chairs and umbrella. Hope to book this again.

Great location, wonderful ocean view, well decorated and equipped condo and very friendly resort staff. Loved the proximity to the restaurants at Whalers Village - Monkeypod was the best!!! We loved using this condo for exploring Maui!

Best spot in Ka'anapali

There is no better beach than Ka'anapali and no better way to experience than this spot. The Whaler is virtually in the sand, and this unit is just one back from the very front and so ditto. Watch and listen to the ocean, see the sunset over Lanai from your lanai. Gorgeous completely updated 1100 sf condo, sliders to the lanai from both the living room and the bedroom, washer/dryer in the unit, brand new TVs w all apps. Indoor parking. They say don't visit Maui without a rental car - agreed - but in case you just want to hang out, you're next door to Whaler Village so all the restaurants and shops you'd need are at your fingertips. If this sounds like a sales pitch, it's not, we have no connection with the property; but it's rare that a vacation exceeds all expectations. The perfect weather didn't hurt either hahaha.

Beautiful accommodations and property. Walking distance to so much. The views from the balcony were breathtaking. Well cared for and we would definitely stay here again.

Great unit, great host

My wife and I are lucky enough to visit the islands 2-3 x per year and we always stay at Whalers units. This unit was exactly as depicted on the VRBO website, and is really a VERY nice place to stay. Everything was spotlessly clean, updated and a joy to return to after a day of adventuring. Hopefully, we will stay here again.

A slice of paradise

This is about the 6th time we have stayed here! We love this place! Just a few steps from the beach, shopping, and restaurants. The view is amazing, the remodel is very nice, and the rooms and lani are very large! We can’t wait to come back!

First class condo and location!

This condo is perfectly appointed, spacious and the resort amenities are top notch. The large lanai is perfect for morning coffee or a cocktail while watching the sunset. Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. On site staff is very friendly and host was easy to work with. Location is perfect for restaurants, beach and shopping right next to Whaler’s Village. Wonderful experience and we would love to come back again!

Beautiful condo in perfect location

It was an amazing stay. The condo was immaculate with lots of kitchen utensils. The deck had beautiful furniture and had a great view of the beach. It was right on the beach walk and next door to Whaler’s Village. We hated to leave.

Perfect Vacation

We cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Whaler. Our unit had everything you could possibly need during our stay. The unit was beautiful, clean, nicely renovated and upgraded. The kitchen has everything you could need for prepping a meal or entertaining guests. The pool, spa, and Bar-B-Q areas are clean and well taken care of. We look forward to our next return trip after the new year. Thank you for the love and care, and allowing us to share your home.

Great condo and location but poor owner responsibility

I am giving this rating of 2 only because we were very unhappy with the owner’s responses to an issue we had. First of all, though, I must say the condo is beautifully remodeled and the location is great. It is on the 4 the floor and has a great view of the ocean due to being on the beach end of the building. The beach is just a minute walk. The problem was that there was maintenance and painting scheduled for the building and there was no mention of it before we booked. Our first day there we were out all day and when we returned the balcony had been covered in plastic, which blocked the view. When I asked the supervisor on the job he said he couldn’t remove it. He promised it would be removed by the next day as the work would not take long. No work was done the whole week and we left with the view still blocked. When I informed the owner she replied that she had told us there would be painting outside the building and she had given us the option to cancel before we came. Problem was she hadn’t. We were only told about the possibility of work on her unit after we had booked but no offer of cancellation without losing 50% of the full amount for the week. I even sent her copies of the emails we had received and her reply was to blame the fires and that she had no control over any work being done. It’s a great condo but if anything goes wrong don’t expect the owner to take responsibility.

Amazing unit and location!

We were thrilled to stay at this property and unit. It was beautifully remodeled with new kitchen appliances, spotless and with a gorgeous ocean view to enjoy on the Lanai! This Whaler’s condo is close to Black Rock for snorkeling, easy access to water excursions and right next to Whaler’s Village. The concierge was very helpful. We were able to fit our family of 4 comfortably. Highly recommend!! - Lois from San Diego

Wonderful location and great place to stay

We stayed in late June at this wonderful 1 bed 2 bath. The place was clean and well stocked with the essentials and then some. When we weren't out and about, we loved sitting on the lanai and watching the ocean. Everything was great with exception to the fridge not working. It seems a new fridge was put in just before we arrived, and it wasn't cold our entire stay, so we couldn't save leftovers. The owner reached out to my initial message, but didn't follow-up after I sent another message that it still wasn't working after 24hrs. Hopefully, it's working for whoever is there now. Other than that, this place was perfect.

Great location, very nice remodeled condo

Location is great steps from the kanaapali beach. Unit is fully remodeled so it's nice and fresh. Only suggestion would be the change the mattress on the pull out couch since it's old , you can feel the springs and very uncomfortable. everything else is great. Host is very responsive and communicates very well.

The property is situated just next door to the famous Whalers Village with great shopping and fine dining. Whalers Village also has Hawaiian activities like evening hula dance performances. Whale watching, sunset and other cruises are a few minutes walk. Black Rock, a prime snorkel spot, is a 5 minute walk along the beach. You can see the ceremonial torch lighting after sunset there.
