2 sovrumstuga vid Cayuga sjön 1 mil från Ithaca

Njut av vår rustika stuga med två sovrum bara några minuter från Cornell University och Ithaca College.

Omgivet av magnifika hemlockträd och ligger inbäddat på sluttningen ovanför Lake Cayuga, har stugan också en skiffer vid stranden och bryggan med kajaker, kanot och båthuset.

Du kan fokusera på vattensporter eller använda stugan som bas för att utforska det spektakulära landskapet (de underbara ravinerna är bara några minuter bort), vingårdar, restauranger, högskolor, museer, Watkins Glenn-aktiviteter och andra skatter i området.

Även om du bara är några minuter från allt som Ithaca har att erbjuda (inklusive Wegmans!), stugan är en världsdel: du känner dig som om du befinner dig i ett trädhus - omgiven av hemlock och rododendren. En promenad nerför sluttningen tar dig till skifferstranden och tillgången till Ithacas mest fantastiska tillgång: 40 mil lång, 600+ djup, glaciärformade Lake Cayuga.

En stor fördel med stugan är dess läge vid sjön men i Ithaca. De flesta stugor i Lake Cayuga ligger 20–35 miles från Ithacas attraktioner.

Vi bor i det stora huset på fastigheten men din parkering, ingång, vid stranden etc. är alla privata, vi korsar sällan stigar med folk i stugan. Vi hyr också huvudhuset när vi är utanför stan som kan rymma 8-10 gäster.

Cozy Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint cabin in an excellent location! We had beautiful weather. Did lots of hiking at the local state parks. The owners were very responsive to our needs. Great stop on our way to Canada!

Lovely Stay

We enjoyed our time in your cabin. The air conditioning worked well as it was very hot! The lake was beautiful. We also enjoyed the that we were very close to the city with lots of shopping and restaurant options.

Snug cabin above lake

Comfortable cabin set above the lake tgaf could be viewed through the trees. Dock and small beach, kayaks available - too cold for us in October to try the kayaks!

Ithaca trip

This cabin worked out great for me and my friend during our visit to Ithaca. It was nice to be out of town, but only minutes away. We enjoyed visiting state parks, a winery and a cider house, the Ithaca farmers market and other sights. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good enough to take advantage of the lake or any kayaking opportunities.

Delightful getaway!

Totally worth it! Minutes from the heart of Ithaca, beautiful lake front spot. Owners communicate great. The cabin is a little rustic, but you should be outside at the lake or on the Commons!

Wonderful reunion week trip!

We had a lovely time staying at this beautiful cabin on Cayuga Lake. It was very comfortable and the host was extremely helpful and accommodating. Having kayaks and a canoe available for our use was fantastic; the cabin is the perfect distance from the Ithaca Farmer's Market, so we had a lovely morning paddle to a Farmer's Market breakfast with friends. The lake was beautiful, the dock was beautiful, the cabin was charming, and we look forward to staying here again -- hopefully next summer!

Cozy Cayuga Cottage

We were looking for something overlooking Cayuga Lake and not being too far from downtown Ithaca - this cottage fit the bill. Very quiet and peaceful during our stay. Owners were very responsive and communicative when needed. The cottage was well stocked as indicated in the Vrbo description. Arriving after dark, the cottage parking was a little confusing but we figured it out. There are about 35 somewhat irregular steps leading to the cottage from the guest parking area - a little harder on us folks in our 70's to navigate but overall the cottage was perfect. We were able to watch some beautiful sunrises over the lake while having breakfast. Truly a wonderful get away.

Beautiful Lake Access

We enjoyed our stay at this cute, clean cabin. While not right on the lake, it is a short walk down to a private beach and dock. I enjoyed sitting by the lake for morning coffee, yoga, and evening drinks. We would stay again.

Lake trip success

We came for an equestrian event. The town’s culture and food is amazing. Staying at this lake house was like staying at my grandparent’s cabin as a child! Checked all the boxes.

Comfortable, cozy, beautiful lake views

Lovely hillside cabin overlooking south end of Cayuga Lake. Plenty of living space for 2 couples. Driveway to property is a steep slope. Two flights of stairs from parking area to cabin are challenging.

Almost heaven Cayuga lake cottage

As good as it gets for a lake front cottage stay except the owners could not convince any fish to let us catch them. 10 minutes away from Cornell that feels like several light years.

An Immensely Peaceful Sojourn

Sally and Richard's cabin was the best stay I could've asked for as my partner and I visited the Cornell campus and drove through Ithaca for the weekend. The cabin is situated right on the lake and the views are unmatched. You can see the Cornell campus across the lake from the dock. The place is only a 10 minute drive from the central Cornell campus. It gets plenty of natural light. And it is welcoming to say the least. When I come back to Ithaca, this cabin will be the first place I check for availability.

Rainy and cold , home needs updating, parking had a challenging entry and exit. Staircase leading from parking are needs to be replaced not very safe. Decks need cleaning and staining.

Great location, needs massive updating

We stayed at this cabin when we dropped our oldest off at college. The location is fantastic. Close to Ithaca and state parks and the lake is beautiful. However, while this cabin may be a beloved place for the owners from years ago, it has not been well maintained. The cabin has a musty smell. The kitchen had ants all over the back wall during our stay. That made our desire to cook diminish. The bathroom is not great. The shower is so small I barely fit in it and I am 5’4”. The towels were worn thin and did not do a great job absorbing water. Overall I cannot recommend this cabin.

quick get away

Property was clean, lots of stairs but was furnished with everything possibly need. Only thing could use ant spray I noticed didnt have any Im sure ants from the woods. It would be nice to have a bed in 2nd bedroom the futon was hard. Great location! Needs some landscaping and cleaning by beach area .....hope this helps!

Pricey for the accomodations

Overall our stay was pleasant at this cottage, but there were some flaws that made the visit much less comfortable. The living room furniture was shabby and old; the shower was smaller than the back seat of my car and not very clean. The dock photo in the listing must have been taken a long time ago because now it's wobbly and leans to the side. And the small deck has a very flimsy bamboo barrier that doesn't feel strong enough to hold someone if they happened to fall through it to the ground. The cottage is behind the main house and because of that the lake view is obstructed. We did see an eagle and the lake, once you're down there, is lovely, but it's a tricky walk and there is no way this property is accessible to anyone with a disability. All this would be fine if it didn't cost over $700 for 2 nights.

we are a retired couple who live in the main house which is down the hill but totally secluded from the cabin. The cabin has its own beach, parking, entry, deck, etc. and the amazing thing is that you are in the town of Ithaca but feel like you are in a forest on a lake. The beach is the only area where you are more likely to see a neighbor--but only if the neighbors are using their lakefront.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The property is beautiful--mature trees as in an old growth forest-- but access to the lake is easier than on most of the properties along the west shore in Ithaca. And privacy is greater than in most of the west shore properties. The property has 1.4 acres with big trees and only 2 houses. Most other properties have 4-6 houses on the same size lot.

In addition to the natural beauty, we are SO close to all the advantages of Ithaca. No need to drive 20-40 minutes to get to shopping, restaurants, hiking trails, wineries, etc., as on other parts of the lake. Ithaca downtown is only 2 miles away.
