If you are searching for a private lakefront haven, look no further than this spacious home on Cape Meares Lake. Walk only 0.2 miles to Cape Meares Beach for blissful days of fun in the sun. Enjoy the use of two provided bikes for added entertainment. Let the kids play in the lakefront yard, which also features a wood-burning firepit.

The roomy floor plans offer amazing lake views from all three floors, which provide ample room to both relax and entertain. The top-floor living area is where you will find the main living area, a well-equipped kitchen, and a balcony - perfect for bird and elk watching. A second living area is appointed with a smart TV, a foosball table, air hockey, and a Wii. No matter the occasion or season, Escape to the Cape is sure to please. Added perks include an in-home elevator and WiFi.

Absolutely beautiful views, thoughtful touches and layout. This house had paddleboards, galoshes and wetsuits that worked wonderfully for us.

The Great Escape

The house has a great layout and the views are spectacular!! The location is ideal because it offers serenity with a 3 minute walk to the beach, as well as being a 10 minute drive to Tillamook or the Cape Mears Lighthouse. The home is well equipped, so we felt at home while there.

Lovely Home

This is a lovely home and we enjoyed our stay. Note for future guests- we sat on patio floor because there were no chairs, only to find chairs in garage on last day! Check there, lol! Also, I'd love a few more blankets. Now, all that said... the home was spotless, was very comfortable, easily fit all guests, the views, were breathtaking, and we will 100% return to this property (we visit the area every 8-10 weeks). My granddaughter enjoyed watering the beautiful plants in the yard, we enjoyed playing games, and having dinner on the deck. We did not use TV, but we did use internet and had no issues. I would recommend. Add a few more blankets and comfy deck furniture and I'd give this 6 stars! :)

The location is ideal, especially for bird lovers. Could be cleaner though.

The view from the top story is very nice, especially when the fog lifts and if the windows are clean. They weren't, so we cleaned them because the view was why we stayed there. The house is nicely laid out and we appreciated the beach toys and cart. The elevator did not open consistently so we just took the stairs. I would rent this again if they improved the cleaning and upgraded the linens.

Great time in Cape Meares

The home was wonderful, and just a short walk to the beach. We loved exploring the caves at low tide! Beautiful sea life was to be found. The house was very clean but the area must get a lot of spiders as most of the windows were covered (on outside) with webs. Minor issue, we still loved our stay.

Everything we needed and more! The best view!

We had the best time staying here, loved the porches, enough room to space out and have privacy, but still come together on the top floor and cook and play games! The elevator was amazing when one of us got injured, and to bring our bags of groceries up. Beds were comfy! Warm water outside to hose off from the beach! And warm heated tile! Great location. And we got to watch the northern lights dance above the Lake. I was sad to leave that view!

The PERFECT Place

We cannot express how wonderful our experience was. From the moment we arrived, the owner and management had planned for everything and made this such a smooth experience! The home itself is stunning – beautifully maintained, clean, and equipped with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The property, view and location are perfect. You could not ask for a better spot! We were received outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect, always available to assist with any request or question. Their kindness and professionalism made the time there all the more enjoyable. We will certainly return! We are already looking forward to the next visit. I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking an excellent lodging experience. You wont find a better place! The best!! Thank you once again to the owner and management for the perfect vacation. We are so grateful!

Great stay at the coast

We loved the amazing lake view! Just a 5 min walk down the road to the beach. Lots of fun games and beach toys available. Some of the windows needed cleaning and there was some pet hair on the furniture, but it was generally clean and did not bother us. We would stay again!

3 levels of views

Really enjoyed our stay here! Loved how updated the home is and there was an elevator to help get all our groceries to the top floor where the main living space is. It's not too far from crabbing, Clamming and beach. Loved the decks on every level, beautiful views of the water. We would definitely stay again.

Inaccurate listing

I am going to piggyback on what the last review entitled: "Incorrect info on listing" states. That review is spot on! There used to be a picture of 4 kayaks on the listing, but that has been taken down. The listing still mentions "kayak," but note, there is NO kayak at this rental! The bikes were not usable either, so don't expect to ride them. Also, if you want a fire, expect to burn down the entire property, since it was not manicured at all. The house itself was lovely (could use a DEEP clean), but my friends and I were looking forward to kayaking as a major focal point of this trip. Sad we didn't get to experience that!

Slice of heaven

My husband and I stayed with our 3 kids (8,6, and 3yrs). We had the best time and were so sad to leave. Location was great, house was beautiful, views were amazing! Not a single complaint. Check in and out was easy and flawless. We hope to visit again soon!

Incorrect info on listing

Overall disappointed with the accuracy of the listing. The picture showed 4 kayaks, come to find out from the neighbors there are no kayaks available these didn’t even belong to owners of listing. Apparently ok to use expensive looking paddle boards but not listed anywhere so did not use these. Tubing available in garage had large holes. Fire pit noted but not cleared around to easily or safely use. The home needs a good cleaning dead bugs everywhere especially all over the large windows meant for the view upstairs. Screen for windows and doors broken and the 2nd screen door for top floor balcony broken. Not clear where third bed is located. ( Apparently, there is a trundle hidden under one of the twins- found when leaving). Ice machine on fridge does not work. Broken furniture shoved in corner of room with the twin beds. Large chip on stove top. Cue sticks missing for game board, someone had curtain sticks placed in there to use instead. Overall what could of been a great trip was disappointing- especially frustrated considering we paid a higher price expecting kayaks and a fire pit we couldn’t use.

Nice house in a beautiful location

The house was comfortable and clean. The location was amazing with beautiful views and walking distance to the beach. Only downside was that someone came to empty the outside garbage and let themselves into the house during our stay. We were out of the house at the time but we realized they were there because they forgot their hat in the bathroom. Made us all feel a little uncomfortable and felt a lack of privacy because we had no warning they would be coming inside with all of our belongings there and we weren't there.

Fun and beautiful home with gorgeous views

The house is located in the perfect spot right next to the lake and just steps away from the beach and some fun hiking trails. We were here during the off season and it was still just as fun as I imagine it to be during the summer. The house was well maintained and comfortable. There is an elevator if you don't feel like going up the 3 flights of stairs. I took a paddleboard out onto the lake and it was great! There's even some wetsuits, water shoes, and other things for outdoor activities. Inside they have lots of board games and puzzles, a wii, and a netflix account for entertainment. There are ample kitchen appliances for anything you'd like to cook. My family and I had a great time and would love to come back in the future.
