LAUREL POINT - HIGH BANK WEST FACING WATERFRONT VACATION HOME.

3 Bedroom vacation home located on 1.35 acres of high bank waterfront facing desirable west exposure. This private waterfront home is just across from the Shipyard Cove Marina and Brown Island. Relax and enjoy the glistening water views in the living room around the grand wood burning fireplace (firewood not provided) or enjoy a movie in the adjacent television watching area on the large flat screen television with ROKU player. The home has wireless high speed internet service for those that need to stay connected. The kitchen is spacious and open offering plenty of room to prepare meals, chat at the nook, and enjoy a more formal meal around the dining table, seating for six. This home has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and ample privacy for all 6 guests. The main level maser is furnished with king sized bed and has a private porch. The master bath is ensuite with a large, tiled walk-in shower and separate soaking tub. The second lower bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed and offers water views. The upper level is accessed by the spiral staircase. Upon entry to the upper level you will find two twin sized beds and a private bathroom with tiled shower. Separated by partition the right side of the upper level, has a full-sized bed with a beautiful view of the water. Sweet spot! There is plenty to see from Laurel Point including boat activities, ferries, and wildlife. This home is located just 2 miles from downtown Friday Harbor and 9 miles from Roche Harbor. Parks and beaches within a 10-minute drive from this property include Jackson Beach, San Juan County Fairgrounds, false Bay Nature Preserve, American Camp, South Beach and many more days of exploration. This property has a maximum occupancy of 6 people. Pets are not allowed. Due to high bank shoreline, there is no access to the beach and no access to the dock area. (STRICTLY ENFORCED).

Unique and Cozy

The house was an older house, but very cozy, very clean. It was really neat looking on the inside, the way it was built. The property was gorgeous! If you walked out on the back deck you could see the harbor, not to mention see a harbor seal every now and then! The host was very easy to contact and very helpful! We really enjoyed our stay here!

Beautiful View

I traveled from Florida to visit with my adult children and their spouses.Friday Harbor was on my bucket list. This home was perfect for our family. It has plenty of room with a nice kitchen and fantastic views.

San Juan weekend

Property was a great location, spacious and has beautiful views but was very dated with some safety concerns on the deck and railings. Would not recommend for families with small children.

Beautiful, relaxing home!

The home is perfectly situated on the harbor, and the deck is wonderful and relaxing. View from house is great, and house was roomy for family of 4 adults. Kitchen is well stocked, and house is clean. Highly recommend if you want to stay near Friday Harbor, and want to enjoy beauty and peacefulness of island.

Beautiful home on the water

My husband and another couple spent Labor Day weekend at this vacation home. The back deck overlooking the quiet marina was wonderful, and my only regret is that we didn’t spend more hours there! The location is great, just a 10 minute drive to the ferry terminal and main drag of Friday Harbor. Yet is is super quiet and private. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs. The only problem we had, and this is pretty minor, is that there are not many convenient places to charge one’s phone/ electronics, and some outlets ( master bathroom) are so loose as to make plugging in a hair dryer a challenge. Karen is a very responsive hostess, and answered all questions promptly. We would definitely rent again!

Fabulous spot!

Great location, great view! House has good bones - fun 70s vibe. Lots of wildlife and gorgeous sunsets. Plenty of space. Comfy beds. Wonderful light with lots of skylights so even when it's raining, it's lovely. Convenient and close to town. Wish we could've stayed longer as five days went by in a flash. Thank you for a great family vacation!

Unique Gem Close to Everything

Our family had a wonderful stay at this home in Friday Harbor. The house was so unique and fun, with beautiful views and spaces to relax. It was close to everything (by car) and in a quiet, calm neighborhood. Communication was great. Thank you for the great experience.

Lovely retreat

Enjoyed the beautiful sunsets at this retreat from Friday Harbor. Spacious bedrooms provide privacy to everyone while the living space is open to encourage family time. Short drive to Friday Harbor, unfortunately there are no sidewalks between house and Friday Harbor.

Girls’ Getaway

We are a group of women in our 70s who have known each other since kindergarten. This home met all our expectations with beds for everyone, plenty of bathrooms, space for spreading out, lovely views, all the basics in terms of kitchen and cleaning supplies, and great location. Our only concern was the spiral staircase, but we made it work. Thank you for a very memorable stay!

Such a magical place!

Pulling up to the property it felt like we were pulling up at a resort. The grounds around the house are absolutley gorgeous with wooden walkways, porches with ample seating, and trails with lush landscaping. The house itself feels so special, warm, and inviting - windows everywhere with views of the water from the living room and bedrooms. I felt like we could've spent our whole weekend just at the house and still had an amazing time. The location was great - felt secluded but was only a 5 minute drive to Friday Harbor town. Great communication between the property manager - she answered all my questions so quickly. My only regret was I wished we could have stayed longer! Already planning out trip back!

Same generation of inlaws and outlaws

We were attending a nephews wedding on the Island. This was a perfect spot for sisters and brothers and inlaws to stay. Lots of room , convenient and more comfortable than a hotel for visiting. The house is dated but functional and a gorgeous location.

Spacious and comfortable - with a view!

We enjoyed the spacious home, beautiful grounds, and nice marina view at the Laurel Point rental. Quiet, comfortable, and nicely stocked with essentials. Check-in was easy, and a Karen was responsive to the one question we had during our stay. This is an authentic vintage property so the outlets are a tad loose for charging devices with a large power block, but with a bit of creativity, you can make it work. There is a self-clean option that I didn't quite recognize as such on the rental agreement, but it was not a problem for our neatnik group. We saw a fox tip-toeing through the yard as we peered out the window sipping our coffee one morning. Nice!

Exceeded all expectations

We were 6 adults visiting for a biking trip. The minute we drove up to the property our jaws began to drop, our heart rates and blood pressure dropped. When we stepped inside we found it spacious and clean. The layout offered all 3 couples enough privacy when needed or wanted and space enough bring out the guitar and song sheets. It was far enough away from the town of Friday Harbour but close enough to wander in to poke around the many lovely shops. Loved, loved, love this property. We are talking about making it an annual getaway

Girl Friend Adventure

We had a great time on San Juan Island! We loved staying at the Laurel Point House! Beautiful views, clean, beautiful rooms and a reat kitchen. San Juan is a wonderful Island to visit! We had an unbelievable orca whale watch with Maya’s Legacy. We ate several meals at the Friday Harbor House! The views are the best on the Island and the food is delicious and fun!

Perfect mixed adult property!

We rented 170 black road for our wedding and had our bridal party stay with us. All rooms are appropriate for an adult couple and the living spaces and views are amazing. We would love to come back and stay again

Extraordinary 'cept for Upstairs and How Host responded

Everything about the VRBO was exemplary except the upstairs which is open to the downstairs with a narrow, spiral staircase. The day of arrival the air quality was over 100, which is bad. The temperature was also quite warm. I had inquired of the host before arriving, if there were fans for the upstairs and she replied the house had air-conditioning, and if fans were needed she would make sure we had some. Upon arrival the heat and lack of air flow upstairs was terrible. There was only one in the big room and it was small. There was no window that could open in the other bedroom, and one window in the bath. I texted the host to ask for fans and told her how hot it was upstairs, she said to crank the air cond. down, I assured her we did. I was taken aback by her defensive, and downright unkind response: which was, "You must have the emergency heat on, or something ridiculous like that". My son works@ Google in Engineering and knew how to operate the thermostat. We also told her there were no a.c. vents upstairs which she responded "There ARE floor vents, you can get it freezing in there." My husband, my brother and my son went back upstairs and the only (wall) vent was for heating only. There were NO air vents unless they were covered with carpet. I could not convince her. She said she would send her housekeeper in the morn with fans. I told her it was to be cooler and nevermind.
