Ava Jade yurt nestled in the woods of Brownfield, Maine

A relaxing and unique camping experience in a handcrafted yurt nestled in the woods.

The yurt is heated by a wood stove and has a fire pit outside. We supply the firewood for both. For lighting there are solar motion lights outside. Inside the yurt there are two propane lights along with battery operated lanterns and headlamps. For cooking there is a propane stove top and well stocked kitchen area with 2 5- gal. jugs of water for cooking and cleaning. There is also a propane grill outside. For sleeping arrangements there is one full size and one queen size futon and a camping cot. Bedding and pillows are provided. The site has its own porta potty and in the summer months an outdoor shower with water warmed by the sun.

Besides the yurt site you have access to the many trails throughout the property to enjoy year round. In the winter months you can go snowshoeing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling and the river is a great place for a dip in the summer!

My husband and I live just a few miles away and we are around to help anytime.

Small quiet town with a great local restaurant The Back Burner and also an amazing music and dining venue The Stone Mountain Art Center. The Saco River is right around the corner. Our property has maintained snowmobile trails that are part of a major trail system. There are also beautiful trails for hiking. We are a 25 minute drive to North Conway, NH.

Best way to get around is by vehicle.

Cell phone service is very spotty, especially at the yurt sites.

Had a great stay at Ava Jade Yurt! Everything we needed was provided. Firewood, camp chairs, grill, outdoor dining area, solar heated shower(which we didn’t have a chance to use), comfortable beds with linens, cards, games, lanterns, and so much more!!So unique and so well stocked!Will definitely return!

A lovely, cozy yurt in the peaceful Maine forest! We only spent one night to break up a longer drive, but we loved relaxing by the wood stove and the comfy bed. Thanks for a great stay!

The host was amazing to deal with had a wonderful personality that made you feel right at home and was very outgoing to make your stay extra special. This is a must CNU. The property was beautiful open and spacious. The art was very spacious for the accommodations for up to six people and very comfortable cozy beautiful I highly recommend to staying in the you will not regret it at all it is very pet friendly as well even though I never had a pet, but to know my pet would be welcomed is you don’t see that very often I had spent about two nights stay and had a wonderful accommodations to Freyberg fair and you had the quietness of the wilderness you had great family values of no electricity at all, but just to sit and talk and do board games is something you don’t see the same age had plenty of use of everything and seriously this was an amazing booking I have ever booked before and I recommend anybody booking the art and staying. You will never regret it.

Great spot to unwind

The ava jade yurt was a great spot to unwind. It had everything we needed, was clean, and very comfy in the winter weather. Communication was good and the check-in and check-out processes were easy.

Quiet getaway!

We had a great stay at the yurt with our pup, despite the heavy mud that resulted from the warming weather and rain. We were totally cozy and had a great time enjoying the quiet.

Cozy and comfortable

My dog and I spent one night here and loved it! A perfect little getaway. The location was easy to find and it felt secluded and safe at the same time. Loved the hammock and outdoor shower, the hosts really thought of everything you need to be comfortable. I will recommend this to family and friends and hope to come back for a longer stay soon. Lovely spot surrounded by trees. The river was nice, cool and swimmable. Property was well equipped with all you need for a stay. We enjoyed sunset as the dragonflies came out to hunt. Pull up a chair or the hammock and watch the show.

Short visit

Very neat glamping type of off the grid concept. The Yurt is very clean and nicely set up, with total privacy of a lot separate and to itself. I unfortunately arrived late and in the dark, I did not ever locate a check in area, thankfully communicating by messaging was acceptable. Lighting off the road to the property is minimal if at all, which made it very difficult to find at night! All in all, it was very nice stay - very back to basics, and nature!! Thank you

What a great place to stay for easy access to the eastern side of the White Mountains! Truly a beautiful and secluded location... you're a lot more likely to encounter hermit thrushes, blue jays, and barred owls than other humans while you're out here. The yurt was very clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully appointed, and I have to particularly call out two of my favorite features -- the fire pit with copious amounts of kiln-dried firewood provided (perfect for my LOVE of campfires!) and the outdoor shower which felt incredibly refreshing after sweating my way over a few mountains. Would absolutely return here -- thank you so much!

My husband and I live a few miles away from this property. It was my husband's dream to have yurts to rent when he bought the property in 2014. We love to have people come and stay and enjoy the beauty of this area.

Brownfield is a small quiet town 20 minutes from North Conway, NH. We have great hiking trails. Close to the Saco river.
