We had the pleasure of spending 7 nights in Casa Oasis. This house had everything our family needed- plenty of bedrooms, several sitting areas both inside and out, and a full kitchen. When we were in Costa Rica, it was is in the high 90's every day, and it was always a pleasure to come back to the house, have a dip in the clean pool, and sit in one of the lovely outdoor shaded areas with our best friend for the week, Prince the Cat. If you are a cat lover, prepare to fall head over heels in love with this very sweet boy.
This house is in a great location- Langosta- about a 15-20 minute walk from bustling Tamarindo. For us, we enjoyed being in a quieter area, but having access to the more lively part of town within minutes. With that said, right near the house, there are some restaurants if you don't feel like venturing out. There is Matty's, which is great for breakfast or lunch, Bokas, which has tapas and cocktails, and our favorite, El Sapo, which had outstanding Italian-style pizza. There is also a little market just down down the street for some essentials, food, water, and alcohol.
There is beach access about 2 minutes from the house, and we found that the most beautiful part of the beach was about halfway between Langosta and Tamarindo. This area had very few rocks and good sand and surf, plus it was much quieter than in Tamarindo. With that said, we enjoyed going to Tamarindo also for the activity, restaurants, and nightlife, and if you are feeling lazy or it is late at night, you can get a taxi for $5 to/from the house.
We would gladly stay at Casa Oasis if we were to return the Guanacaste area- it suited us perfectly. We felt very safe there, and it was a clean, comfortable house. I would highly recommend staying here for a quiet neighorhood minutes away from fun!
