The location is excellent—- close by a major grocery, some services e.g. fuel, gourmet shops and easy walk in good weather to the heart of the village. Bill, the owner was an excellent communicator— very friendly and answered all questions right away. Michelle, who manages the property, was tremendous; assisted with a few issues, gave us advice, and was “in the know” about a lot of the Island’s idiosyncrasies.

Great Location!

Great place! 6 comfortable bedrooms in a newly renovated large house. Walking distance from town, but quiet and relaxing yard.

Oops, the person who wrote this review had people in two of our homes, they're referring to the larger one (house 411627) we have a few doors down the street on this site (as this house 286312 is only 3 bedroom). Thanks so much for the very nice things you said though, very much appreciated! :)

Perfect for weekend trip

My girlfriends and I rented out this house over Memorial Day weekend. It fit us all comfortably and we really enjoyed staying here. We all agreed that it's proximity to town made the house a steal!

Old beach house in a good location. Downtown is walkable. The kids loved the little fenced in yard and saying hi to all the cars and bikers going by. We had 2 adults, 7, and 4yr old. The house was a good size for a 3 day trip. Luckily we only needed 2 of the 3 bed rooms because the AC in one room didn’t work. The couches could use some updating. But over all we had a good stay, great location, and host is very responsive.

First trip to Nantucket - Success

Location is key - perfect to walk to town or store or catch the bus. The house is great w all amenities - air conditioning, washer/dryer, stocked kitchen plus yard and picnic tables. Owner is very responsive. Love it!

Perfect House and Location - Especially for Large Group!

This house was perfect for our large group. Our favorite part was the spacious yard and the outdoor shower was amazing! Bill was incredibly informative and helpful and always responded immediately! Such a quick walk to town - we walked to breakfast every morning, shopping in the afternoon, and to go out at night. Short ride to the beach. I definitely recommend this place to stay!

Close to town and very walkable. Good if you're headed to town every day/night & not looking to relax at the house or in the yard. Be sure to check the location on a Google Maps Satelite view before renting. The nice front yard is in the middle of a busy 5 way stop sign intersection. I go to Nantucket to leave my home in Boston to have some peace & quiet. The traffic was louder than my city street. Although the house has updates, all the floors are unlevel, carpets in the bed rooms are old and stained & some of the windows don't open and/or don't have screens.

Have to admit I thought the same thing about the sloped floors when we bought it. The house was built in the 1800s, part of it's charm is the floors slope because they're 100-200 years old. When we bought it we considered changing them but everyone told us "Don't you dare change it! It's part of the Nantucket charm with old houses and is cute!!" so we've kept them and gotten many compliments on them being that way. :) The carpets are only 4-5 years old at time of this posting. A renter before Matt had a party so do have some stains and they broke some screens but the rugs have since been professionally shampooed and most of the stains were removed (we had to wait a month for the rug cleaning machine from the rental place on island to be available and unfortunately Matt was there a week before our cleaners got to use it). On the noise we think differently, you're staying in town on a main street, it's normal for the location. Ourselves and many renters love it there and have hung out in the front yard happily as you can see by the comments in many of their reviews. :)

Loved our stay! Perfect house for a girls weekend. Easy access to town and great general location to anywhere we wanted to be. We had so much fun. Definitely a little louder and busy location at the intersection but our crew didn’t mind and had so much fun in the yard. Looking forward to staying here again next summer!

Our time in Nantucket was spectacular! This property was not! Borders on false advertising! Cigarette butts all over front yard, dog feces left in bag in yard, broken coffee maker, no shades or ripped shades on windows, filthy windows and sills, rug horrible condition. Mouse ran over sister while sleeping. It was insane! No window leading to cellar. Filthy coolers, and hammock. Exuberant amount of money for cleaning fees and rental. It was shocking and disgraceful!

Excellent trip with family

We are a family of 6 including 4 children. We have been coming to Nantucket for more than 20 years. The house was perfectly adequate and in great location to town . It is at a busy corner but one does not notice any of it when being inside. We took an Uber to jetties but one could have walked (30 min) . It’s a 10 minute walk to downtown and restaurants. House was very clean. Everything worked. There was enough space for a family of 6. We loved the outdoor shower. Communication with the hosts was easy.

Great location, Basic Property

This property is a standard rental. Lots of beds in small rooms and furniture that is fine. Nothing is fancy, but it all works. The location is the busiest intersection on the island but having a fenced in yard with puppies was amazing - even if the traffic was loud. My only real issues are with the absurd cleaning fees, poor communication with the property owner and check-in process. We paid a lot for a cleaning fee in the original booking and I cleaned when I arrived because the kitchen and bathroom were not what I would have called clean. Unfortunately - to even be allowed to check-in I had to sign an absurd lease saying there was an additional “security deposit" and had to pay an additional fee in "extra minimum cleaning fees" to be given access to the property. The place was not big enough to ever have to pay someone the amount i did to even deep clean it, and given I had to clean upon arrival - absurd to have to pay someone to not do it for the next renters. I said I could clean myself but was told I had to pay the extra or not be allowed to go - WHILE I WAS ON THE FERRY. The other issue was all this back and forth via messaging was basically incomprehensible. Incomplete sentences, spelling mistakes etc. Very challenging to understand the what and the why. When we did arrive for check-in we had not yet been sent instructions and had to wait outside for over 40 minutes before the property owner finally sent us the access codes. So frustrating after a long day of travel.

Fun Place to Stay on Nantucket

We had a very fun stay at this property. The house is cozy, but well equipped and plenty of beds. We spent most of our time in the outdoor yard, watching the activity at the 5-way intersection. Location is perfect, easy walk/bike/bus to downtown, beaches, Cisco Brewery, etc.

If you are planning a trip to nantucket, than I highly recommend that you stay at Bills house. It has everything that you could need for your trip; ample space, beautiful yard, grill, etc, but what really sets it apart is the incredible location of the house. It is easily walkable from town, and in close proximity to all of the shops and beautiful beaches. It also has a beautiful garden, and it has all of the amenities that you need in order to truly enjoy your trip. It also is able to sleep a lot of people, and everyone on our trip commented about how comfortable all of the beds were. On top of all of this, Bill is excellent to communicate and deal with. We were probably the biggest pain in the a*** guests of all time, calling Bill frequently etc, and he was incredibly nice all along, and did everything in his power possible to make sure that we enjoyed our trip. For that, I am incredibly grateful. I am sure that he will do the same for anyone else who books the property, and that is just another reason why I highly recommend this property.

Great location! Easy to get downtown and to stores. Loved the outside area!

Accommodations were great for a group of girls looking for the true ACK experience! The outdoor picnic tables and lawn were where we spent most of our time! Another bonus: there is an outdoor shower which made getting ready easier with a bigger group. Downtown is walkable and so are a bunch of restaurants and the grocery store as well. Thanks for a great stay!

Central Location!

We had a great time on our girls getaway to Nantucket. The house was very centrally located and we enjoyed the picnic tables in the front yard! Thanks for a great stay.
