Tired

Drive 9 hours and according to VRBO customer service the check in information was never updated by host. It took hours after check in for her to call back. She did apologize that we could not view information. I have stayed her before and fell in love with location.

Comfortable, clean, and quiet

This property was just as expected. The spa was fantastic (once we learned to follow directions!) Having the garage to park in was fantastic. Very thankful for that since we both have bad backs! All we needed was peace and quiet, and thats what we got. Lovely place.Very thankful for that sihave

Very noisy! Terrible stay!

Ok, before posting this review, i gave the property owner time to refund part of the cost. Wish I didn’t stop my husband from writing his thoughts in the guest book! Host messaged us they were making adjustments to chemicals in the pool which took use away from us during our stay. We woke up to the hot tub only 1/2 full and unusable. The pool towels were so warn out they had ripps in them. There was laundry left in both the washer and dryer! I would also recommend checking any alarms set on the stove/oven so it doesn’t wake you up in the morning luke it did us.... very early,,, no sleeping in ! The fan in the main living area makes a very loud sound when in use so turn up the tv,,,, ooooo thats if they're not using the internet upstairs... then just enjoy watching the tv try to stream... good luck.. will not be back, and just awful that there wasn't any response when notified of this!

Peaceful place

This place is such a sweet place. It is the whole bottom level of the house. The pool and hot tub were AMAZING! The owners do live above you, you can hear them, but at night it was quiet and perfect! The bed is so comfortable and the yard is so peaceful. We will for sure be going back. The owners are pretty awesome too, if you have any trouble, give them a chance and reach out. Also, try the Wee Pub in Brunswick! The owners of here also own that and the food was so yummy!

Relaxing getaway close to attractions

A nice place to get away from life for the weekend. My husband and I spent our first anniversary here. The home is located in a peaceful neighborhood close to Brunswick, Jekyll, and St. Simon's Island. We were a little surprised to find that the rental is an apartment in the garage. While our hosts were respectful, be aware that you can hear them walking overhead. Not sure what kind of animal got the zoomies at midnight during our stay but that was something lol! We still enjoyed our stay. Theres lots of amenities at the house, too. Hosts were kind and attentive as well.

Misrepresented

Owner says there is a seasonally heated pool and a hot tub, implying that the hot tub would be heated. It wasn't. I called about this and she didn't answer so I texted we were leaving because we'd hoped to hot tub after our long drive. Her texts, verbatim, "You are the first person that has ever pulled a stunt like thius...so you clearly have a behavioral issue. A minor thing like show uping at someones house having a mental breakdown and flipping out is wierd."

Not easy finding the place due to inconsistent instructions during a rainy late afternoon and a change in instructions. Pool and tub closed and cold…no hot tub tonight. No internet. Otherwise, just fine.

Awesome

This was an ideal place to meet up with our friend who lives in the area. We spent our time reminiscing around the hot tub while enjoying the outdoors. Nice and peaceful place. We were allowed to check in a little early. If ever in the area again we will most definitely stay here.

Great weekens

It’s the small things that stood out. Nice dechloronating shampoo and conditioner, lotions, detergent for the washer and dryer. The owners were accommodating. The property was quiet and beautiful! Far better than a hotel stay!

Perfect Getaway

This was a perfect place to escape everyday life of work and kids. We spent the majority of our time here enjoying the pool and hot tub, watching the beautiful trees and wildlife, and relaxing in the clean comfortable space Abigail has created. We will definitely return.

Absolutely lovely place!

We stayed here for one evening as part of a multi-day bicycle trip and couldn't have been happier with this place. The pool and hot tub on the screened in patio were phenomenal, and the place itself it was clean with nice furniture, and a well equipped kitchen. You even get your own garage parking spot. If it rains like it did for us you have such a great place to stay and still enjoy the outdoors sitting by the hot tub in pool.

A Hidden Gem

My husband and i stayed for 4 days in June. We had lived in Brunswick 23 years and did not know this retreat existed. We enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and homey. The homeowner provided many items that are usually not provided at a rental (shampoo, conditioner, storage bags, coffee, tea, condiments and even some snacks). The pool and spa were fabulous and very private. The pool and spa were built into the house and screened so we did not have to worry about bugs or getting too much sun. Homeowner goes above and beyond to make sure tents enjoy their vacation. Great place for the price!

Perfect!

We had the best stay! It was cozy and comfortable, the pool and spa were SO nice, and there were just so many nice, thoughtful touches throughout. We would highly recommend this property and would love to return someday!
