The beds were so comfortable. We were tired at night from all our activities and we rested so well! The house is easy to navigate in and out of, going to other cities in close proximity.

Wonderful vacation in SW Harbor

We loved our time here. Nestled in the woods near SW Harbor, the house is very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the meadow from the living room. The property manager was responsive, prompt and helpful.

What a beautiful location! Everything about this house was perfect for us! I wanted our family trip to Acadia to avoid the amusement park-like crowds of Bar Harbor and this location was on-point! We hiked directly from the house to many trails near Long Pond and Echo Lake. We hiked a total of over 20 miles in our 3 days there and it felt like we had the park to ourselves. The view from the backyard was amazing and great for viewing wildlife (especially deer and turkeys). One morning we were watching 5 bucks, 3 does, 3 hen turkeys, and roughly 20 poults all at the same time! I could not be happier with our stay here and am already recommending the home to anyone who will listen!

What an absolutely beautiful home and setting! Isolated setting; mountain views, deer & turkeys in the backyard; easy, short drive to SWH; easy access to Bar Harbor & Acadia NP. Felt like we had the entire mountainside to ourselves. Very well furnished and very comfortable. Hosts were fabulous. Can't imagine a more perfect Vrbo for our stay. We would live here if we could!

Great stay!

We enjoyed our time at this vacation rental. It was very restful. Beautiful view of a wilderness area in the back of the property with trails. Enough wooded space around the place to not see your neighbors. Close enough to all the Acadia national forest trails and sights that you were not driving a lot. I would stay again if we came back.

Secluded Nature Getaway

We stayed while visiting Acadia. It was great to get away from the busyness of the park and Bar Harbor each day. We saw deer and Turkeys each day. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful setting

We spent 6 peaceful days and nights at this well kept cottage. I would book again if traveling to Acadia. Keep an eye out for the deer in the morning and evening and hawks as well. Lovely.

Family trip to Acadia

This property was a great location for our vacation to Mount Desert Island and Acadia NP. It was a quiet location, with good views and lots of wildlife right outside. We had an infant under 1, and the property had toys and a gate for the stairs that we used. I would recommend this property to others.

Location, location, location

Could not have been better for us. Quiet location on the quiet part of the island, but within 30 minutes of most any point in Acadia. For an amateur astronomer, it was as I had hoped, with a non-light polluted spot to gaze mere steps from the back door. Property was clean and comfortable, and the owner was available and gracious.

Gorgeous Views

We had a great stay on the quieter side of the island. The property was secluded with a fabulous view of the meadow. We watched deer every morning and a turkey family roosted in the tree outside every night. Plenty of space for four adults to space out and everything was immaculately clean, comfortable, bright (once we figured out the dimmer switches) and airy.

Book this house!

This was the final stop in our New England tour. And what a way to end it! The home is charming, inviting, clean, and well equipped. The location is wonderful! The deer were out behind the house each day. The blueberries were just starting to ripen. It was a 20-25 min drive into bar harbor and we were thankful to be in a quieter area like southwest harbor. I would recommend this home to anyone traveling to MDI

MDI Oasis

This property was so comfortable and charming. We had great experience staying here. The location is so beautiful, relaxing on the deck is a vacation in and of itself! The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are very clean and updated. The kitchen has most everything you would need. It’s super easy to get to all the local sites but tucked away in a quiet spot. The village of Southwest harbor is only a 5 minute drive and has lovely little strip for dining and shopping. There is also a swimming beach nearby at Echo lake that wasn’t even that crowded on our hottest day there. You could really relax there. I would stay here again, for sure!
