There are 3 comfortable bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, laundry room and an entertainment room with a pool table so you'll never be bored! Not only is it centrally located near downtown Tempe and ASU, but also it's directly across the street from Kiwanis Park! Kiwanis Park provides numerous trails, lakes to fish in, batting cages, softball fields, movies in the park, and even it's own indoor wave pool!

Would not book again

Booked this house for 6 nights over the 4th of July weekend for our daughter's birthday. Never received any check-in info, and the address was totally incorrect. Never heard from the host at all. Spent over an hour with Vrbo customer support. Did eventually receive a full refund, but the reason was for not meeting minimum rental age, which is an absolute fabrication.

Mixed teview

Area was great. Cleanliness - needed alot of work. Furniture-needs alot of repairing. Sent some pictures to host, did not hear back from her. Did get the empty propane bottles replaced. This could be an awesome placewith alittle work

The good and the not so good

When we arrived in Tempe on Feb 1, 2025 we had not received any check in instructions so we sent a message to the host. She responded and said the property had been unlisted by Vrbo several months ago and we should have gotten a cancellation notice. I did not get any cancellation notice, in fact I received an email from Vrbo on January 29th saying "All set for your trip to Phoenix".Sarah (the host) was very helpful and said she would look into it. She contacted us shortly thereafter and said she manages several properties and she said one of the other properties was not being used Feb 1-7 and we could use that property for the first half of our stay in the Phoenix area. We would however have to leave the property on Feb 7 because it was already rented starting Feb 7. The property was very nice, heated pool, very nice. Sarah said she would find out what we would do for accommodations Feb 7 through the 15th.I gave Sarha a couple days to work on this and then sent her a message on Feb 4th asking for an update. I did not get any response and then left her a phone voice mail message on Feb 5th. She messaged me late on the 5th and said we would need to move to another location on the 6th instead of moving on the 7th. We had plans on the 6th and then had to cancel them to move to another location. We could only stay at the 2nd location until the 13th. We did get a refund for the 14th and 15th and also received 125 for the inconvenience.

Location, Location, Location!!!

We really enjoyed having a huge park across the street. We fished and went on walks. The house had pretty of room for our family of 8. It's a very nice neighborhood.

Comfortable

The house was comfortable for us and our dogs. Back yard had a nice patio. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Wrong address!

We couldn’t find the place because we were given the wrong address! Spent over 2 hours driving around and on the phone with VRBO. VRBO was going to put us up in a hotel but then the owner called us and assured us the home was clean and ready so we made the 20 mile trip back to Tempe! Finally found the house and figured out on our own that we were given the wrong address. Had trouble getting lights on. They had to be turned on by pulling the chain on the fans! There was a bag of ice in the freezer that was melting and water was all over the floor. My guess is that the freezer had been shut off and needed time to get up to temp. There was hair in the rugs in front of the bathroom sinks….EW! The tops of the baseboards were gross! I communicated with the owner some and had some responses but not any action on her part. We don’t like giving bad reviews as we are VRBO owners ourselves. We prefer communicating with the owner so they can fix the issues. Since we didn’t get good responses from the owner we feel an obligation to give a bad review. The area is great with a park and lake right across the street! The house is nice and just needs some better cleaning, better lighting and just some more attention to detail. We have a very nice VRBO place and so our expectations may be a bit high but we were extremely disappointed with our stay! We are sorry to leave a bad review.
