Oöverträffad Rocky Mountain utsikt! Perfekt för vandring, skidåkning (bara 20 minuter bort), smekmånad, jubileum eller bara umgås. Mycket romantiskt men obegränsad aktiviteter: vandring, cykling, Red Rocks konserter bara 35 minuter bort, 4 Wheeling, längdskidåkning, snö skoning, utforska Saint Marys Glasmästare eller bara läsa en bok om du kan sluta titta på de unbelivable vyerna. Denna gröna hem ligger bara 4 miles från Interstate 70 och Idaho Springs eller Central City på sex tunnland fjällparadis. Spektakulär utsikt över Continental Divide och de 14.000 fot toppar tittade igenom de omfattande söderläge fönster. Hasardspel är bara några minuter bort i staden Black hawk. Designad i samarbete med ingenjörer på National Renewable Energy Laboratories som en super effektiv utan koldioxidutsläpp hem. Makt är genom solcellspaneler och vindkraftverk utan att offra lyx. Byggandet av denna mycket gröna hem slutfördes 2009. Den 2200sf lyxiga off grid hem har en noll koldioxidutsläpp utan att kompromissa komfort.

Fjärr plats: Home ligger tre miles off Fall River (blacktop väg) och ligger på 9600 meter i höjd. Den sista milen är inte ett län underhållen väg. Fyrhjulsdrift rekommenderas starkt under vintermånaderna.

Beautiful Impressive mountain cabin

My family loved our vacation and it was largely due to our time spent together in this amazing home/cabin which had awesome views of the mountains and wildlife. The hospitality of the property’s hosts, their thoughtfulness in meeting us to show us up to the cabin and their kindness throughout our stay was greatly appreciated. We will stay here again ❤️

Wonderful getaway

We truly enjoyed the week we spent at this property. The location was great. The house was amazing. There’s a couple of great sledding spots we took advantage of on snowy days. We loved the neighborhood dogs. It was perfect.

Quiet and Relaxing

Our stay was a well needed quiet remote area that is close to town if you need anything. The views were remarkable and having the ability to watch the storms roll in made it even more special. One of my favorites is watching the hummingbirds fly all around the house during the day.

Beautiful View!

We absolutely loved this house on the top of the mountains. The views were incredible and probably the best I've seen of any VRBO vacation homes we've stayed at in CO. Mike, the owner was very helpful and I actually got a short tour of the workings of this green home. It was a very comfortable house and roomy. I would highly recommend staying here.

Rocky Mountain Getaway

I’ve stayed at more than a dozen Colorado VRBOs, and this was my favorite. Beautiful house, off-grid but with all modern amenities, fast wi-fi, and absolutely spectacular views of the Front Range mountains, including three fourteeners. If we’d done nothing during our six-week stay but watch the alpenglow on the peaks, the clouds in the valleys, and the wildflowers around the neighborhood, we’d still have had a great time. The owners are communicative and helpful, and a real pleasure to rent from. Highly recommended.

Mountain getaway

Amazing!

We stayed here over Thanksgiving and it was amazing. The views are breathtaking! There was everything I needed in the kitchen to cook Thanksgiving dinner and then some. I have stayed in a lot of vrbo properties and this one had the most equipped kitchen ever! The owners are amazing! Mike even called the weekend before to ask if he could pick up a turkey for us so it would be thawed out! We had my mom with us (almost 90) and she struggled with the altitude a bit so he loaned us a oximeter. I can’t say enough about how wonderful they were! If you plan to bring someone who might struggle with the altitude (older, asthma, etc.), I suggest contacting a place that rents oxygen concentrators and picking it up when you go through Denver. Some places will even deliver. Yes, the last mile is a bit bumpy and steep, definitely have a 4x4 in the winter, but it wasn’t that bad. But if you want a fantastic view, it’s worth it!!

Spectacular Mountain Views

A very nice home situated high in the mountains providing incredible views of the surrounding mountain landscapes. The property is well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Our family enjoyed the outdoor patio, grilling our evening meal and watching the sunset around a cozy fire. We will definitely return.

Exactly what we wanted from our mountains getaway

Perfect house and amazing views. What more could we ask for? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed and at home. Mike was wonderful with communication. Check in was a breeze even after we were delayed and only arrived at 1:30am to the house. As others have stated, be smart with the vehicle you get. You’ll regret not getting a 4x4 vehicle. The drive up to the house from the main road is a dirt road that leads into a less than desirably maintained dirt road. A Corolla isn’t going to cut it on that trek.

Triple Bypass

I stayed at this property with my wife, son, and Brittany Spaniel as Idaho Springs was between the start and finish of Triple Bypass cycle ride. The views from this property are sublime. It sits atop a mountain at 9500’ and looks out at multiple peaks toward South and West. Owner was extremely communicative, house was immaculate, and great patio/ grill looking out over valley. Multiple nice hikes to do in area. 10-15 minutes drive from Idaho Springs- unpaved road - 4 wheel drive a plus.

Rocky Mtn hideaway

We had a wonderful time and would like to come back and just relax and spend more time enjoying the area. The views were truly amazing and the Host will show you what a special green home this truly is. We were in town for a wedding and very busy but will take more time to enjoy Idaho Springs.

Breathtaking

Way more beautiful in person than in the pictures. One of the best places we have ever stayed!! The owners were very helpful and responsive. There was plenty to do around the area. Everyone was kind and friendly in town. We enjoyed just sitting outside. The main street had plenty of good food and shopping. I can not say enough of our stay!! And did I already mention the views?!! Oh and on a clear night the stars are also breathtaking!! If I could give 10 stars I would!! We are already planning a return trip!!!!

Amazing!

Great house with beautiful views! We stayed with our 2 dogs and it was wonderful and very comfortable. The owner Mike was great and was very helpful. The house was equipped with everything we needed and was a short drive to the nearby cute town of Idaho Springs. Highly recommend!

1st time to Colorado

This was our 1st trip to Colorado. My wife my 2 teenage children and myself. The house was furnished with everything we needed. The view was Incredible and better than described. Mike was extremely accommodating with everything. Short trip down the hill to Idaho Springs had everything if we needed anything at all. We will be back!

Most amazing house and awesome host

Have stayed and managed many Vrbo’s and this one is at top of list. Views are amazing , house is 100% solar and wind power , Mike was incredible to work with and got up extra early to plow the 18” late May snow which was a huge surprise and simply gorgeous. Will be coming back to this oasis

Incredible Mountain Views with 3 great bedrooms for family or friends.

We had a lovely time bringing our 3 grown kids for a long weekend celebration. The views will take your breath away with forest filled and snow capped mountains and lots of beautiful sky. All 3 bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make fun family meals. Excellent hosts who were welcoming and helpful in every way. We have stayed in many guest homes, and this house is one of the very best! Also, the town of Idaho Springs was a great location with cute town, easy travel to Denver airport and ski resorts. We found the roads to the house easy to navigate even with some snow and ice.

Husband's Birthday

The house was perfect for our group of 6, plenty of room for everyone and nicely laid out. The views were absolutely beautiful! Wish we could have stayed longer and Mike was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Ziews!

Home is absolutely beautiful. The views are stunning! I've rented a lot of homes in Colorado. This one is the best all around. The road to get to the home (past Fall River Road) is a bit of challenge (when there is snow) well worth it. Would love to stay again in summer.

Mountain hideaway

The house was a beautiful, sprawling hideaway in the mountains above Idaho Springs. There were breathtaking views from most of the rooms. King beds in each room and a huge kitchen/living space for meals, games or entertainment. The owner was in touch if we needed anything and gave great advice with regards to travel on the snow-covered roads. Definitely bring your 4WD vehicle. Would recommend this property and hope to stay again!

Diane is a native of Evergeen Colorado and Mike is from Kentucky. Mike moved here in 1983 fresh out of college and fell in love with Diane and the mountains. We fufilled our dream of building a carbon net zero (green) mountain home in 2009. Mike is a former employee of National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Diane works with special needs children.

Far enough away from the city to get the true feel of the Rocky Mountains yet close enough to enjoy city activities. The clear mountain air and freedom from light pollution provides amazing star gazing. Truly spectacular home and location!
