Morfar stuga välkomnar hela besättningen, sover 12!

Ligger i Meridian Lake underavdelning, på kanten av miles av vildmarken. Endast tre mil vardera till den historiska staden Crested Butte och till Mt. Crested Butte skidområde.
Rustik för säker, men i en spektakulär miljö ... utsikten från den här egenskapen är hisnande ... mitt i enkelridning, (Upper Loop, Long Lake, 403, Lower Loop, 401) och fantastiska 4- hjulkörningsvägar (Paradise Divide, Schofield Park, Slate River Road.) Kör alla stigar från stugan och mindre än en mil från Snodgrass Trailhead. Observera dock att rakknivar eller sida vid sida inte är tillåtna på dessa vägar, och släpvagnar tillåts inte heller i underavdelningen.
I grund och botten möblerade, fina sängkläder. Öppen spis, grill. Morfar byggde stugan så att alla kunde komma och njuta av vandring, cykling och skidåkning. Det finns tre drottning sovrum på bottenvåningen, befälhavaren med eget badrum och ett andra badrum i korridoren. Loftet sover sex, i fem enkelsängar och en full, med ytterligare ett badrum.

Great mountain stay

Beautiful cabin and great access to both town and the mountain. Instructions through VRBO for check out were unclear, but Susan was super responsive via text and able to fill in any gaps. Such an awesome spot, would stay again!

Christmas vacation

We enjoyed staying at Grandpa's cabin! We spent Christmas here and it was the perfect White Christmas. The views are amazing and to wake up in the mornings to these views were breathtaking. The house was the perfect size for us and will definitely book again !

Gramps Cabin!

We loved it here. The views, the cabin, everything. Great price for what you get as well. We had a group of 8. A few couples and friends as well as 3 dogs. The dogs loved it as well as all of us and we fully plan to do another trip soon. Thanks again!

Stunning Views

Older property but instantly comfortable with a great fireplace. The 3 main bedrooms and multiple beds in the loft make for a wonderful hangout for adults with younger children.

Wedding Time!

We picked this cabin to stay at for the week of our daughter's wedding. It was wonderful! Plenty of room to spread out and relax with family. Close to town for shopping & eating. Fishing, hiking, star gazing & the occasional wild life visitors made it fun.

Amazing Property!

My family and I stayed a week for a ski trip. The house was amazing, truly get the feeling of a mountain cabin. Home had everything listed and breathtaking views. We will be booking again for the summer!

Great Cabin For Christmas

Ski trip

What a great place! The beds were comfy. There were plenty of towels, plenty of kitchenware, lots of paper products! The fireplace was awesome - so nice to have a real wood burning fireplace! The only downside was the very steep steps to get up to the main floor and the heater didn’t work in the basement so we had to bring ski boots and such up those steps to dry! But, those were minor inconveniences to all the positives that we experienced!

Amazing home with amazing views

We loved our stay here for fall. Close to downtown, far enough away for quietness. We loved the little things like fresh flowers and a bag of local coffee. Thanks so much! We will be back!

Good vibes Great stay

The check-in process was very easy. Instructions were provided on the day of arrival. The host is very responsive, providing extra things to do around town. The cabin is spacious with a rustic charm. Having a garage to store all of the bikes in was an added bonus! Will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Fantastic property with amazing views

Fantastic property with amazing views. Had a group of five guys who loved this place and want to come back. It is clear the owner haa been progressively updating the place with pleasant surprises. My friends told me they’re planning on coming back next year around this time which is the best recommendation anybody can give.

Unbelievable Views, Incredible Location, Quintessential Mountain Home

My group & I had the pleasure of staying at grandpa's cabin during our annual fall trip to Crested Butte to mountain bike and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. We were so pumped on our decision to rent this home! The views are unreal, with massive windows giving you an unbelievable view of mountain crested butte. Great location, a short drive to the resort, town, or any backcountry adventures. The home had plenty of room to comfortable hold all 13 of us. The homeowners were super easy to get in touch with, and very accommodating! Truly one of the best homeaways I have done. Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable

Nice cabin if you have a bunch of kids, not a bunch of adults.

Cabin fit the whole group as advertised and is in a nice location near Monarch/Long Lake. There is no bus service to town or ski area from this location, but hiking is within walking distance. The host was very nice and polite. The cabin is very well surface cleaned and bathroom and tubs were all clean. Years of dust and miscellaneous items exist under most furniture and on the loft floorboards due to lack of vacuuming harder to get areas. The view window on the main floor has a leak between window panes therefore is not clear. The wildflowers are pretty in bloom but are overgrown, so the basement floor steep steps are now basically the entry way, not the main floor.

Wintery wonderland

Stayed during a big winter storm. Wood burning fireplace was great, with a ton of wood available. Loft with many beds was nice for a family group. View is wonderful. Absolutely have to have 4wd or AWD in winter or getting back would have been impossible. Property manager was extremely responsive and helpful when unexpected issues arose. Listing is true- staircases very steep with open steps and shallow stair step- wouldn’t have stayed if mobility issues or if kids weren’t adequately supervised. Would ask them to make certain it is plowed regularly in winter, and far enough on driveway- we got stuck and needed towed because the plow had gone too far into the grass rather than the driveway for making a path- definitely would urge owners or property manager to put up poles before winter so plowing is appropriately done.

Great location and views

Grandpa's Cabin was described as "rustic" but "grimy" might bee a better word. The cabinets were sticky, junk filled every cabinet, drawer and closet and the stove barely worked. We even found nail clippings on the ottoman! We were misled about television. ..we were given instructions on how to operate it and the wifi password but there was no cable service...you had to use your own Netflix or Hulu subscriptions. But, the location and views were great, the beds comfy and the plumbing worked well. We think there may be a moth infestation...we must have killed 10 of them.

They weren't kidding about the stairs

The cabin and views were great! If you have a loved one with mobility issues, just know the inside stairs are steep and narrow and probably not useable for them, but the outside stairs were better and manageable. The beds were comfortable and linens were soft. The hummingbirds provided entertainment throughout the day. Loved the quiet neighborhood and will definitely check the availability of this cabin first if we return to CB!
