Pickerel Lake - Lakefront Log Cabin

Lakefront Log Cabin ligger på Pickerel sjön. Ett sovrum stuga (dubbelsäng) med ett sovloft på övervåningen (3 enkelsängar). Authenic timmerstuga som har genomgått omfattande renoverats och uppdaterats. Hela interiören är log och kvistig furu med vacker gråsten spis. Fullt utrustat kök och badrum har nyligen uppdaterats. Det kristallklara sjöar och vattendrag med sandbotten framför vår stuga är grunt, med hårt packad sand botten med en svag lutning (ingen avhopp). Perfekt för simning och vada.

Beach, picknickbord, lägereld grop, och åttio fot docka ingår. Båtuthyrning tillgängliga från lokala marinor, på vattenvägar, eller ta med egen båt och lansering från nära genom offentliga lanseringen. Utmärkt bad, fiske (bas, gös, gädda), och båtliv på 1100 hektar Pickerel Lake. En del av den berömda inre vattenvägar som ansluter till Crooked Lake, Burt Lake och Mullet Lake.

Ligger bara några miles öster om centrala Petoskey och bara några minuter från alla de andra olika attraktioner i detta vackra område i nordvästra Michigan. Den Petoskey / Harbor Springs omfattar miles av cykel och Rollerblade spår, exceptionell golf, och flera av de stater vackraste stränder.

Up north cabin

Lovely little cabin perfect for a couple or small family. Quiet place to get away. Boat launch was really close and nice for my boat. Will likely return again!

Oh! Were coming back

. views, comfy cottage and great location. Had the most relaxing vacation in years, and looking forward to returning here. Our golden retriever was in heaven in massive yard , and we weren’t doing bad enjoying beautiful setting and a glass of wine. All the amenities you need ars onsite

Great Waterfront Location

We enjoyed our weekend stay. The lake is shallow for quite a ways out so it's great for kids and dogs. The yard is very nice and there's shade in the yard all day. We enjoyed the firepit by the water. Wood was provided. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The neighbors were very nice. There's a nature preserve within walking distance which was nice for a morning walk with the dog. It's a great location. We appreciate hosts that allow us to bring our dogs, so we left the house and grounds tidy.

Cozy quiet rustic cottage

Overall nice cozy rustic cottage on quiet street and quiet lake. Lots of things to do in the area with short drive. Listing stated it had AC but did not have it. Overall nice place to just relax and unwind.

Absolute Gem

Couldn’t ask for a better stay. Cabin is gorgeous and so very cozy. Everything you need is provided. Location is perfect for day trips all over upper Michigan.

Great family getaway.

The cabin was exactly as pictured. Cute and cozy and we had everything that we needed. The loft worked out really well for our older boys. There was a bonfire pit down by the lake which made it wonderful for watching sunsets. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and had a lot of luck! The location is great because it’s close to Downtown Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Boyne. We will definitely be back :)

A Hidden surprise

Locating property was tricky but gps will guide you. This property has enough room for easily 5 adults and pets ; we cant be thankful enough for the pups tagging along. Lakeside with all modern amenities you will be taken away by the hidden awesomeness. 20 minutes outside big city needs . Check it out everyone...

Vintage cabin, relaxing week on the lake

Looking to get away, since we've been quarantined for several months. Was a very relaxing uncomplicated break. Lake is beautiful. Water is shallow, great for kids swimming. Sat on deck to Sun, drink coffee and watch gorgeous sunsets. Saw an eagle, loons, and pretty ducks. Excellent area to paddleboard or kayak. Rented a pontoon and navigated through interesting channels to other lakes. Was fabulous. There's a store nearby to get essentials and firewood. Had s'mores in firepit by lake several nights. Keep in mind this is a rustic cabin, it's not for someone expecting the "Hilton". For us it was all about the lake experience.

Love this cottage

This year will be our fifth year staying at this cabin. My husband spent his summers on Pickerel Lake and since we live near Pittsburgh, he wanted to take our kids back there to experience it. We found this cabin and have been nothing but pleased with it! We spend every morning drinking our coffee on the dock and then we spend every evening around the fire. My husband and son regularly catch enough fish for our annual "last night fish fry". The cabin is very clean and very well maintained with enough space for my husband, two teenage children, my mother-in-law and myself. My son loves the proximity to the store and my daughter loves spending the day in a raft reading. We couldn't be happier with our choice and know you'll love it too!

Up north cottage

This was a nice cottage in a great location! We enjoyed being very close to Petoskey, Harbor, Springs, Indian river, and Mackinac. There were fireworks on the Fourth of July in Petoskey and Harbor Springs, that you could see pretty much anywhere from a good bay location. The highlight of the cottage is definitely the lake outback and the property leading up to it. The cottage itself is nice and pretty cute. We enjoyed the rustic look and knotty pine interior. The cottage had most everything we needed and was comfortable. Some of the downsides to the cottage itself are: no dishwasher, no central air just one window unit, the bathroom seemed a little small and kind of dirty. A great perk was having a washer and dryer though. Overall, our family had a great time and found ourselves just relaxing by the water, enjoying fishing, swimming, boating, and everything else the area had to offer when we were done with our lake time.

Pickerel Lake fun

Upon arrival there is a musty smell and felt damp inside. Probably could use a dehumidifier. It was a colder week for our stay, once the furnace was turned on, that helped a lot. The cabin is what it shows in the pictures. Coffee drinkers beware, it will take a loooonggg time for coffee to brew! Haha. The lake is beautiful, water was warm enough for us and we enjoyed taking our boat out. Our big issue is the kitchen sink drain. As soon as water was turned on the drain backs up. It will drain slowly. I contacted the property owner and he was obviously aware of the issue, as he said there was a plunger under the sink. We plunged a lot and it never fixed the issue, hubby said it is more than just a clogged drain, probably needs a plumber. This was a huge disappointment since you expect a working sink in a kitchen. Made washing dishes a pain (and yes, after the first night we used paper plates, but still had pans,bowls, glasses and cups) as well as trying to rinse veggies and such. Oh, and the kitchen faucet had a huge leak. Thank God my husband is handy and he fixed that. I even took a picture for the memory! 😁 Overall, aside from the sink issues which hopefully the host will call a plumber and get that fixed....it was a great place. Located just down the road from the boat launch and close to the waterway to crooked lake. Nice fire pit. Gas and charcoal grill and a good yard for yard games. Great memories were made this past week.

Great Fishing Cabin

This cabin would be great for those wanting a peaceful time of fishing and staying in a log cabin. The cabin is really neat and the property is beautiful. However, the beds were awful to lay on. None of us slept well, so if you're looking for a comfy stay this isn't the place for you. The cabin also had a very strong, odd smell and triggered all of our allergies. My eyes were itchy and swollen by morning, my mom's asthma flared up, and all 3 of us were sneezing and coughing by morning. We checked out early and got a hotel.

Relaxing Stay

Cute cabin with pretty views of the lake. Nicely decorated cabin. We had everything we needed. The location was good with easy driving to anywhere in the area. Mike was responsive and the cabin was comfortable. The only suggestion I have is the dust and cobwebs were an allergy trigger for me so a good cleaning would be helpful. The kitchen drain was not a pleasant chore to deal with because it slowly drained making washing dishes difficult. Otherwise, this is a nice getaway which has a very nice setting!

Quaint getaway

Had a nice stay. Husband and I with our dog, Bella. The property was as described for the most part. The lake/beach was described as hard packed sand, but it was mucky after you get in past shins. There was some confusion(on our part, I guess), about linens provided. It wasn't clearly stated that towels weren't included. Other listings spelled it out clearly if they didn't provide towels. Upon arrival we discovered this and spent our first few hours running from store to store to find some bath towels & dishclothes. We did enjoy the wildlife as we had our morning coffee on the dock. We saw eagle, a heron, loons and a hawk. The lake was pretty, but was a little hard to maneuver around large tree falling into water.

Trails End Rd never disappoints

Great location on a great lake. Great place to enjoy some spectacular views of the starts, sunsets, and sunrises. Caught many fish right off the dock.

Just what the doctor ordered!!

This was a great place for our family to stay. Very quiet old school charm just like we wanted. The property and lake are both excellent. Whether you just want to hang out on the dock or go fishing as I did ( lots of fish but the way) this was just what we were looking for. Thanks Mike

Up North Delight!!

The location and setting were perfect, and the owner was very responsive. The decorations in the cabin were perfect for up north--very cute!! We love Pickerel Lake! We will look forward to a return visit next yeat!!
