Disappointing stay
Whenever we entered the apartment upon check-in we immediately noticed the overwhelming scent of deodorizers (some people are allergic or highly sensitive to these strong odors). There were 5-6 plug-in deodorizers within a very small space. The bedroom carpet was worn and dirty. The bed pillows were flat and needed to be replaced. The baseboard in the living area, bedroom and bathroom were dirty...covered in dust. Even the door facings in the bathroom were very dusty. We went out to dinner one night and when we returned to the apartment there was a large roach running across the floor. When we contacted the property manager we were told there had never been reports of roaches before. We sent a picture of the dead roach. We were sent a $25 Amazon gift card for our inconvenience. We were there for four nights and slept with the lights on in hopes of preventing more roaches from surfacing. Not how we had hoped to spend our time there. We were going to use the washer/dryer to do laundry, but the inside of the washer was not clean, and the dryer had lint in the lint catcher from a previous guest. The area around the washer/dryer was dirty so we decided not to do laundry. I would not refer to this apartment as a luxury apartment. It needs deep cleaning, fresh paint, new carpet and new pillows. The kitchen is scarcely furnished making it difficult to do any cooking there. The only plus to staying here is the close proximity to restaurants and the Spectrum Center.
