This cute newly remodeled 700 sq ft condo has a great view of the beach and it's a short150 yard walk to the beautiful sands of Whitecap Beach. If you're looking for a short stay with the kids this is your answer to the expensive hotel chains. Order pizza, lets the kids splash in the pool and enjoy a margarita with the sounds of the waves crashing just a block away. With a fully stocked kitchen you can take care of those costly meals and enjoy more time in the water. The bedroom has a comfy queen bed and the couch folds out to a queen for the kids. Linens included.

One remote for two tvs, uncomfortable bed, couch pull out more comfortable than bed, dishes left in dishwasher from the previous guests (clean per instructions, but not completed by cleaning crew). Beach is very easy to access from the location, good food in the area. Perfect if you want to be out and use the property as little as possible.

The property is exactly as advertised: close to the beach and budget friendly. If you need something fancy, this isn't it. But we were happy with it for the most part.We experienced a couple of minor issues upon arrival, such as our key code didn't work, nor did the television. We didn't realize a different key code had been issued, as we didn't check our vrbo account after leaving the house. The television had a couple of issues -- the remote didn't have batteries, and the breaker kept tripping. Management provided us with an extension cord so we wouldn't have to wait on an electrician to fix the breaker. The unit on the surface looked pretty clean, although there was food left in the microwave and used soap in the shower. We took a picture of both, then cleaned the microwave & shower ourselves.The kitchen is a nice size, and the refrigerator has an ice maker, which to us was a big plus. Microwave, dishwasher (outside needs a wipe down), and electric range all worked well. If you plan on cooking for a large family, bring extra pots & pans. There is a balcony off the living area that overlooks the neighboring hotel's pool. A nice place to relax. However, the sliding glass door can be tough to open. Nice sized bedroom with closet space & dresser. Extra linens & pillows in the closet. The space needs some minor maintenance to get 5 stars from me. Still, I recommend if you need an affordable place to stay near the beach.

The place wasn't bad. The chair's on the patio could be updated along with the shower. Its not a bad place to just lay your head down at night.

Beach on a budget

Title is pretty accurate. It’s good for if you’re just looking to lay your head somewhere. Utensils/cookware in the kitchen were a bit questionable so I cleaned prior to use every time. No additional blankets for pull out mattress which had quite a bit of stains. Clothesline on balcony also left stains on everything we hung including spare sheets we washed prior to use.

Beach Wedding

Very close to beach. Short walking distance. Decent view of ocean from balcony. Enjoyed sitting out at night. Condo comfortable and clean. Owners were quick to reply to the questions we had during our stay. Will definitly stay again.

Beach Interrupted

We unfortunately scheduled our stay when Hurricane Beryl decided to show up, so we didn’t don’t get our full experience, but our hosts were far nicer than Mother Nature. The condo driveway and outer appearance are a little confusing, but the interior of the condo is beautiful. We had adults, an infant, and a dog and still had plenty of room. I did wish we had brought a fan or two because the AC can’t run under 74 which was a little warm for me, but I have no complaints…other than about the National Weather Service’s ability to predict hurricane landings (which was nowhere near Corpus, lol)

No matter your budget you deserve better as a customer

The place was dirty, pots and pans rusty. They provided 2 small pots and a skillet, no pot for cooking pasta or boiling eggs. No lie, i handwashed everything in that kitchen before i would use it. The bed was a queen and its long over due to be changed out. Dont rollover in the middle of the night because ir squeaks so loud you will wake the dead. The point of vrbo over hotel is not having to eat out. This place you will be eating out or going to walmart to buy your cooking supplies. I know the owner is going to try and respond to this in an agressive like all the previous negative comments. I have pictures of proof. This place should not be allowed to advertise under VRBO.

Great VACATION Rental!

My wife and I moved from Arizona to Texas and loved the Beach Home we rented. Tt was very comfortable and decorated nicely! It had all the amenities we needed. Felt like home after a few days. We would love to stay there again sometime. I have told my friends about this beach home. The Host was very friendly which made our stay even nicer. We loved it.

Horrible

The house smelled horrible and the outside property was trashy. There was mold on the air vents and the site said it was 150 yards to the water it was more like 300 and you could not walk to it too much stuff to cross over. You could even see the water from the house at all!!! I was very disappointed so we did not stay at the house and went to a hotel and spent another 600 for it!

Loved this place!

This condo is in the neighborhood perfect location. Walking distance to the beach is manageable, pool is clean and enjoyable, house is clean and comfortable. Only complaint is minimal hot water but other than that it is perfect and we will definitely come again. We cooked most meals there and slept comfortably. Nice and quiet. It is on the second floor which didn’t bother us but if you have issues with stairs this might be an issue. Host was so kind and quick to respond. I can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend.

Week long Vacation

Great location and price. Truly beach on a budget. Very nice and spacious place. We loved the Amazon Prime Video on the TV. If you are staying more than a weekend you will need to bring your own household items to last your stay, toilet paper, aluminum foil, etc but island market is just up the road. Glimpse of the ocean off the balcony was really nice to have included as part of the rental. One street up from the beach so we would definitely stay here again.

Surprised at the items in the condo

the condo was nice. Very minimal furnishing. The springs on the one bed were so noisy and poked when you moved that we had to sleep on the pull out couch bed. The dishwasher appeared to be so unclean I hand washed all dishes. I had never stayed in a condo that was not furnished with paper towels, adequate dish soap or bath soap. The Host did supply all of the items when I contacted them but let me know if was not standard practice. It was my first VRBO and I am surprised at the differences between VRBO and other rental agencies.
