Perfect beach VRBO

We enjoyed our stay. The beach is a 2 min walk or less. The house had everything we needed. Lisa is excellent to work with! Highly recommend.

Better than a Resort!

So close to the beach! Everything was easy. The house is gorgeous, clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. Lisa gave us Great communication both before and during our stay. We will return for sure!

Great stay close to the water

We had a great time! The house was perfect! We had a small hiccup with the heater that was fixed quickly and easily, the host was very friendly and responsive and ordered space heaters for us just in case it wound up not being a quick fix. We appreciated them taking extra care to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable!

Great family spring break home

This property suited our needs quite well. We were traveling with our two young children and our parents, and the house was quiet and had plenty of room for everyone. It couldn’t be more conveniently located to the beach - barely a 30 second walk away! It was also a great jumping off point to visit attractions Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Montecito. Communication with the property manager was super - Lisa checked in frequently and the property/area guide was very helpful. The kitchen was well-stocked and it was really nice to have a washer and dryer. We also loved the rooftop deck! Our one minor suggestion is that the property guide and listing says there are plenty of board games and beach supplies, but apart from one game, we couldn’t find either - and the kids looked hard! We didn’t mind, but it may be worth updating the listing/guide so that future guests have a better idea what to pack when it comes to beach gear and family entertainment. Otherwise, this property was great, and we would definitely stay again if we return to the area!

Deceptive description and terrible communication

For over a decade, my family and I have rented places in Oxnard and Ventura for Thanksgiving. We have just two conditions for the rental: it has to be close to the beach and it has to have a hot tub. Although this property listed a hot tub as one of the amenities, there was none. Instead, there was a smallish bath tub in one of the bathrooms. I think we can all agree that a bath tub is not a hot tub.As soon as we realized that there was no hot tub, I texted the management company. No response.A few days after that, I emailed the management company. No response.A week later, I emailed the management company again. No response.The communication with these people is terrible. I should have anticipated this because, during the initial rental process, I emailed them a question about a discrepancy between their rental agreement and the terms provided on the VRBO site. This email was also ignored.In addition to the lie about the hot tub, the description also lists a 'beach view.' The only way you can see the beach is by leaning way over on one of the balconies and catching a glimpse of the beach in the narrow alley between two houses.In all the years that we've been renting spots in this area, we've never once had a single problem so this experience really stands out as the worst. This company,ChicBeach, manages 28 other properties as well, and they probably manage them as equally poorly as this one so I would recommend staying away from them all.

Wonderful Vacation

The location is great! A couple steps from the beach. This house is great for family because upstairs and downstairs are separated, almost like 2 units. Everyone gets privacy. Will definitely be back!

Cali in March

Great house and location. We chose for proximity to our son's house, and the beach. Weather was cold unfortunately but house has a fireplace and heaters which helped tremendously. Property manager very responsive to some minor issues we had. House was comfortable and clean, only glitch is the neighbors to the west left their outside lights on which lit up two bedrooms like a lighthouse! Maybe some blackout curtains for those who prefer darkness to sleep. 😉
