It's definitely a time capsule- 1975 -really nice view and easy walk to town and the beach. I was impressed with how clean it was and a pretty well stocked kitchen. Nice size room, beds were comfortable. It's not fancy but was perfect for us.

With four big bedrooms and four bathrooms, there’s plenty of space. Same with the living space upstairs with lots of seating in living room, deck, and TV room. The furnishings are plentiful and maintained, they are just not updated, so that 70’s vibe is really just an old feel. The location is near the best part of the town, you should just note that Bakersfield is quite a steep street. That’s only 50 feet of hill though, the rest of town is quite walkable.

Great Weekend

Great location close to town and amazing views. The house is clean and well stocked with plenty of room for everyone. The outside deck is large and perfect for hanging out. Really enjoyed our time, look forward to staying here again hopefully.

It’s a great spot, easy walk to the strip and the beach. Very quiet at night.The only gripe I have is that there is a room of the house reserved for someone else to stay in. This listing says you get the whole house but they are taking advantage of the fact that VRBO and AirBB rental can state you get the whole house to yourself if you have your own entrance regardless if other people can stay under the same roof as you in another room with a separate entrance.We had a person there parked in our driveway and that room just one day.I’ve been burned by this “rule” before thinking I had the whole place to myself like the listing said but there is a loophole.

Our third at this house. We love staying here. Location and views are perfect. Only problem is house was not cleaned when we arrived at check in time. Have been told I would be refunded for one night.

Spacious house with room for us to spread out. Great view and walking distance to the beach if you don't mind walking up hill on your way back. The game cupboard was a disaster, but the grandkids helped me restore order and we had a 3 day game of Monopoly!Housekeeping could have been more thorough. There were cracker bits, raisins, at the edges of the couches and housekeeper left a pile of bedding on one of the beds. Nonetheless, we would stay here again!

Everything was great.FYI:The curtain strings are not working in bedrooms.One of the screens has a hole in it that was there when we arrived.

Awesome Awesome Awesome

Great place for 10 of us. We brought an air mattress and two slept in the TV room. It was plenty big and perfect for us all. We loved the decor. Total old 70’s/early 80’s vibes. But it might not be for some. Everything worked great and the BBQ is hooked up to natural gas so no propane to worry about. Walking distance to downtown and beach. Amazing place. Will stay there again. Management Co is GREAT. Her name is Kathleen.

Review

Carpet stretched and stained. Lift chair didn't work. That was a primary reason for selecting this property. Recliners in media room didn't work .Toilets low and crowded. Holes in some screens in living room. Nice view.
