Amazing Beach Get-Away

The little cottage here in Ocean Beach is a gift. My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary. It was perfect. We rarely drove anywhere as everything is within walking distance. Jim was easy to reach if needed. We will be back.

A lovely stay in Ocean Beach

We had a lovely week in this precious bungalow. The location is perfect and is a short walk to the beach and all of our favorite restaurants and shops. The dedicated onsite parking made it stress-free (since we had a rental car) and the additional touches from the hosts (extra towels, nice soap, snacks, etc.) made it feel like home. The place was very clean and the check-in was a breeze -- and everything you need is already there. The host was incredibly responsive and communicative in general, and we very much enjoyed our stay. We can't wait for our next visit!

Beachy fun

We enjoyed our stay in the beach bungalow. It was nice to be centurally located to the beach and OB. We loved the space nice and intimate, my only suggestion would be a couple of big fluffy blankets for when you want to sit and watch a movie! The host was friendly and responsive a def visit this listing in SD!

Great OB Cottage

My wife and I stayed in this well-equipped Ocean Beach cottage for the long Memorial Day weekend. The cottage is immaculate, very close to restaurants and just a few minutes walk to the beach. The hosts provided everything we needed. The hosts were great communicators, and check-in couldn’t have been easier. Thank you for helping to make this a great getaway weekend!

Ocean beach birthday

The place was in a great location close to local stores and restaurants. Clean property, quiet neighborhood and only a 15min walk to the beach!! Would definitely stay again.

Perfectly Amazing San Diego get away!

This place exceeded all of my expectations. The house is top notch with top of the line everything from the luxurious bed and pillows to the utensils dishes, teapot, gas stove and coffee maker. I can’t forget to mention the AMAZING shower! What a treat that coffee and condiments were there for us. The owner Jim was accommodating in every way and went over and above for us. Everything was so fresh and clean too. Location is spectacular to walk to Ocean Beach with walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. We will be staying here again. Thank you Jim.

Jim and Nance Steinbarth är värd

Jim has owned this property for over 40 years. In 2017 the House had a major makeover including an all new kitchen and bathroom with upgraded amenities. Air conditioning was also added at that time which is uncommon for the beach area but much appreciated during the few hot days at the beach in San Diego. In 2022, Jim and Nance decided that they would move into the house but also have it available for rent during those times when they were traveling (which they do very often). Time will tell if that will end up being three months a year, four months or???

Nance has taken it upon herself to create a small but beautiful environment where one or two people can relax and enjoy all that San Diego, and in particular Ocean Beach, has to offer. Her plans for 2023 include exterior painting of the house, landscaping and making sure that everything is comfortable and available in the house to make a vacation memorable.

Personally, Jims background is in rehabilitation counseling where he worked at Sharp hospital in San Diego and also taught at San Diego State. Nance has a background in mechanical engineering and business administration.

Jim and Nance have over 15 years of experience with vacation rentals in Ocean Beach. We want you to enjoy your time in our home!
