Rockin' P Haus; Beautiful hilltop home near the Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake

Rockin' P Haus is a new construction (2023) 3 bedroom, 1 bunk room, and 4 bath, custom home that is just over 2000 sq. feet. It is located at the top of a mountain near the Guadalupe River with magnificent views of the Texas hill country. With four bedrooms and large common areas, this custom home will comfortably accommodate 9 guests. It is in close proximity to all your favorite hill country destinations; only a half a mile to the Guadalupe River 4th Crossing on River Road and minutes to the other float in areas such as the "Horseshoe". The home is a quick 10-minute drive to the Canyon Lake dam for boating and lake fun (and extra parking for a boat is available next to the house.)
There is also plenty of local entertainment and live music close by, including Whitewater Amphitheater (which is only 3 miles away) and River Road Icehouse among many others. You are also just a short drive to New Braunfels and Gruene where you can enjoy shopping, Schlitterbahn Water Park, the Comal River and local festivals like Wurstfest and the famous Gruene Hall. Local wineries, dining and live music are also plentiful!
This Haus is only 35 miles from San Antonio; home of The Alamo, Six Flags and Riverwalk for great family day trips. Other great day trips include Fredericksburg, where you can explore the National Museum of the Pacific War, famous shopping and winery tours or the Texas state capital of Austin to visit the capital building, enjoy fine dining, museums and many music venues as well. These both sit about an hour away from the Haus. Wimberley is a short 25-minute drive where you can enjoy Wimberley Market Days, dining at the Shady Llama and shopping. Texas State University sits 40 minutes away. For golf enthusiasts, there are courses located in Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, Seguin, and San Marcos.
If you’re looking to relax, you can stay put and enjoy the wildlife and an amazing sunset on the covered patio, complete with a built-in outdoor grill and wine fridge. Either way, we hope you have a Rockin' P good time during your stay!

For renters information: our property has two outdoor security camera's for the sole purpose of security. Rockin' P Haus has a camera on the front left of the house to record the driveway, the back left of the house to monitor the side and a Ring Doorbell located at the front door. No cameras invade guests’ privacy.

The house was lovely and was mostly how it was depicted online. The view in the back was magical, and the back porch was great. Because the house is located off a narrow, steep road in a rather remote area, it’s not the best area for walking. While the guest bedrooms were really good, the primary bedroom lacked a closet or a rack or even a hook for hanging full-sized garments such as dresses and slacks. It does have a small wardrobe that accommodates short tops, but it’s not sufficient hanging space for two adults. Not enough hooks in the masters’ bathroom either—for robes, for example. Also, the kitchen could use more full-sized serving pieces, and the coffee pot was broken so I had to go purchase one for reimbursement from the owners. Cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathroom don’t have handles or knobs, and they are loathe to budge, so I broke several nails and muttered curse words trying to claw them open. (I understand the farmhouse minimalist design, but moving parts should be functional.) The owners were very nice and responsive, however, so they get 5 stars. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great space for a family

We enjoyed this house and property. The back patio is great to relax after a long day. The bedroom setup was great and accommodated our group of two families with kids.

This is a great place to stay. Easy drive to New Braunfels, but you get the benefit of having a peaceful place to relax. This will be our go to house for sure.

Perfect location for everything!

This property was a prime location for our family. One family went to SeaWorld, another floated the river. We enjoyed shopping in Wimberley and dinner in Greune! We had beautiful views as well!! This home had the best of everything.

Scenic views with deer

We had a great time staying here, enjoyed the views the calmness, lots of deer that come up to the cabin in the mornings and evenings. Its also very close to the guadalupe river and has everything you may need close by from groceries to restaurants. Overall very clean place, loved the grill and patio.

Family Wedding Get Away

From the onset, communication was so easy and immediate, there was little wait time to receive a response! The views were amazing, especially from the Master Bathroom - it was heavenly to step out of the shower and look out the window to the rolling hills. The house was beautifully done and the patio was perfection. Our stay was just what we expected and for that we are so grateful

Gorgeous home with a gorgeous view!

We had been looking for a nice place to have a family celebration and feel so fortunate to have found this beautiful gem of Hill Country Heaven. With 4 very comfortable bedrooms there was plenty of space to spread out. The well- appointed kitchen with gourmet appliances was a treat and a great place to gather and cook together, all while enjoying the fabulous view. The bathrooms are beautiful and spotless. The outdoor porch was lovely for quiet morning coffee and then fun in the afternoon for cornhole and smores. Nice linens and fun decor details are the icing. This home is out of a magazine and we’re looking forward to staying here again!

We have now raised our boys coming to the river every summer. Some of our best memories have been made in New Braunfels with our friends and family.
