Beautiful view and great location!

The cottage is immaculate in its cleanliness. The setting is quiet and lovely, and the water view is beautiful. There are delicious restaurants nearby in Lincolnville, Belfast, and Camden. We were able to enjoy the kayaks, too. The cottage has everything you need for cooking in, and there are very good markets in the area.

This was the cleanest, best organized property I have ever rented. Perfect location on the water, exceptionally well provisioned and equipped. Cleaner than clean. Very responsive owner but I really didn’t need any assistance. Highly recommend

Fabulous Maine oceanside cottage

The cottage was a perfect location for a maine getaway. Well appointed and clean with a large deck overlooking Penobscot bay. We could watch lobstermen checking their traps and boats on the bay. The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was quiet and beautifully landscaped. Walk to historic Bayside. Short drive north to Belfast or south to Lincolnville Beach.

Great waterfront rental.

We loved how well stocked the kitchen was. Extremely comfortable beds. Close enough to enjoy Maine’s mid coast cities with ease, but remote enough to be quiet and enjoy all the natural beauty of Penobscot Bay.Thank you to David for sending things I left in closet. We look forward to staying again.

A Hidden Gem

This cottage was amazing. Very clean and well kept. Beautiful views of sunrise every morning. Water views were great Hummingbirds came every day. Can’t wait to go back. Host was very responsive.

Another wonderful stay at Ocean Cottage.

This was our second time staying at Ocean Cottage. It’s a gorgeous home, meticulously clean and organized (anything and everything from board games to extension cords, binoculars, etc). The kitchen has everything you could possibly need if you plan to cook during your stay. We drove to Deer Isle and Sand Beach in Stonington. We highly recommend Sand Beach! Ocean Cottage is a special place and we can’t wait to return.

Wonderful week here...

This is one of the best kept, well organized rental properties that we have ever stayed at in our years of travel. Everything is organized and documented and the kitchen is fully stocked with all the little things that you need when traveling but forget at the grocery store (spices, cooking oil, aluminum foil, etc.) David has thought out every detail. The cabin itself was immaculate and comfortable and the view is spectacular! Great location for exploring the mid-coast area. I would return and do not hesitate to recommend this cabin to others.

Great location

It was a private getaway with plenty to do. Acadia is an hour away. Also, state parks abound in the area. Restaurants are good in North Port. If you enjoy shopping, the nearby small towns are fun, too. Light houses are enjoyable too.

Great Location!

This was the perfect location for us. We wanted to experience as much of Maine as we could in one week. Belfast is centrally located which makes going to Acadia or Portland less than 2 hours either way. Plus many more towns to see in 30 minutes.

Fantastic cottage! Fantastic view! Fantastic amenities!

My only hesitation with leaving this positive review, is that it might cause more competition, if we should want to rent again in the future. Beautiful cottage, beautiful view, and we were also blessed with a beautiful week of October weather. They thought of everything we could have possibly thought to have needed in a rental, and quite possibly a few things we didn't think of. We brought our own kayaks up with us, but to our surprise there was a whole fleet of kayaks, along with the gear needed, neatly stored on the back deck, in case we would have needed it. Speaking of the deck. Wonderfully designed, and it literally goes right down to the water. You can step right into the water during high tide, or just sit and read and watch the lobster boats, eagles, seals, cormorants, loons and other wildlife just glide by you. Also, tons of kitchen and other amenities neatly arranged (and Covid proofed), throughout the cottage. If you had a question about anything, there was likely a neat little note already attached, to make your vacation just a little bit easier. Thanks for making this place available, and hopefully we'll be up again in the near future.

Maine Ocean Cottage

The cottage was super clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and everything worked well. We basically used the cottage for a base as we spent a good share of our time traveling around the area for sightseeing and other activities. We did very little cooking in the cottage, but the kitchen was well equipped and everything appeared to be clean and in excellent condition. All in all, this is a great property; and we would certainly recommend it to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The house was immaculate, totally stocked and equipped with all that you could want. Best place I’ve ever stayed on VRBO. Host very helpful with a TV issue and also when I locked my car keys in house at the end of our stay. Very understanding. Very nicely decorated and the view was spectacular. Top notch!!!

Beautiful location on the Bay

The property was beautifully appointed and fully equipped directly on Penobscot Bay. The location was perfect for trips into Camden and Belfast. Any easy ride to Bar Harbor and Castine. The deck was great to relax and enjoy the views that seemed to change every hour. The host went out of his way to add touches that made us feel at home and enjoy our vacation. There were also great lengths to ensure everything was COVID safe. The scenic and historic Shore Road neighborhood was perfect for walking. We played the great nine hole golf course that is 1 mile away and enjoyed the nearby restaurants. Can’t wait to come back

Gorgeous Maine spot

The pictures are perfect for this site! It is a gorgeous spot right on the water. It rests between a couple towns so you aren't right in town but nothing is very far. The host is fantastic! He sent us everything we would need to find restaurants, museums, and best sites for the week. He even included his top ten restaurants. We absolutely loved this cottage in Maine!

Great Week in Maine in Cottage on the Bay

Our cottage in Northport, Maine was right on beautiful Penobscot Bay.. The cottage was well-maintained on the outside and wonderfully updated inside; the lot was wooded and private. We spent a great deal of time reading on the comfortably appointed deck and on a small dock at the edge of the water! Features .included both heating and air conditioning, a well-stocked kitchen, a master bedroom with a great view of the bay, kayaks, and complete instructions for the unit and extensive suggestions/materials on things to do in the area and local places to eat. We loved the super-clean, tastefully decorated and modern cottage, the beautiful woodland and water views, and picturesque harbor towns of Belfast and Camden with access to the Bar Harbor and Boothbay areas. We've visited Maine many times and this was one of our most relaxing and enjoyable stays ever!.

The owner really thought things through. Everything was well maintained and instructions were clear and easy to find. The location was perfect, quiet and secluded but only minutes to town, really fresh seafood and great little shops. We loved kayaking on the bay and relaxing on the dock. Thank you for a great week.

A wonderful ocean cottage!

We had a wonderful week at David’s cottage, he was an exceptional host. The cottage was immaculate and stocked with everything from kitchen appliances, etc. to board games, extension cords (they came in handy for our laptop on the deck!). The views of Penobscot Bay were breathtaking, we loved catching the sunrise every morning and watching the tide roll in late in the afternoon. We can’t wait to return to this special place. October Get Away

Ocean Cottage in Northport, ME truly deserves a five star rating. Located directly on Penobscot Bay the sunrise is spectacular. It is on a lightly traveled road providing a peaceful setting. The exterior is well maintained and appealing, with a large deck facing the bay and a small deck at beach level to enjoy the water and watch the changing of the tide. The interior is equally appealing, extremely clean, and nicely decorated. The entire house is well equipped with everything you could need. The kitchen is especially very well equipped with everything we needed when we decided to forgo a restaurant meal and cook for ourselves. The bed was very comfortable and waking to see the sunrise through the bedroom window was an extra perk. We did have one rainy day and staying inside was very comfortable and we could still watch the rain on the bay. We visited two State Parks nearby for hiking and sightseeing. We toured the town of Belfast, an old harbor town with several good restaurants and a well maintained Harbor Walk. The picturesque town of Camden with many shops and restaurants is a short drive away. We also took two trips to Acadia National Park, an hour and a half drive away. Just spending a day relaxing at the house was also a treat. David, the owner, provided details about the house and the area and he responds quickly to any questions. The condition and cleanliness of the house shows that David takes pride in his cottage. He also has taken extra measures to clean and provide single use items where practical to make you feel safe during your stay. We found the people in the area to be cautious and accommodating, so we felt totally safe.

Amazing property on the Penobscot Bay

This meticulously maintained property offers amazing views, convenience to many mid-coast destinations, and a lovely and modern interior. Everything you could want (and some you didn't know you needed) is provided, from spices to brand new games. I can't imagine a better approach to covid era travel - from shrink wrapped remotes to individual use everything - the owner has thought of it all. Instructions for every system used were provided, and his label maker is apparently one busy appliance. All and sundry are labeled and easily identified. This bright, cheerful cottage is one of the best places we've stayed in Maine - we made so many wonderful family memories this past week.
