My favorite place to stay. Close to the square, restaurants etc. owner is polite and is easy to communicate with. Also rental is well equipped and everything works! Thank you Larry and Joyce.

We highly recommend this apartment! It was very clean and comfortable, and the perfect location to explore Arcata and surrounding areas for a few days. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. And right around the corner from the wonderful Friday Night Market and Farmers' market on Saturday. Great communication with the host. Thank you!!

Perfect in town location

We were in town for the 35th Annual Oyster Festival. 2 block walk to the town square with multiple restaurant options. Safeway was also a two block walk away.Host was extremely gracious. You won’t go wrong with this property and location

Comfortable stay

Lovely stay in a cozy place. Location is close to Arcata Square to restaurants and the Redwoods. Home has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Downtown Arcata

We spent a week here, a respite from the Arizona summer heat. The check-in process was super easy. Off street parking was available, our car steps away from the door.We’ve never stayed close to a Downtown area like this. The location was perfect to explore different excellent restaurant offerings, coffee shops, the wonderful farmers market on Saturday, and getting to know the local shopkeepers.Larry was very responsive with our occasional questions and the space was very quiet and peaceful despite close the proximity to the town square. Redwood Community Park with it’s hiking and biking trails is minutes away.

Excellent Downtown Apartment!

We were thoroughly pleased with everything the apartment had to offer. Comfy and cozy furniture, great linens and the gas fireplace is a nice touch. Also a very convenient location close to the main downtown shopping/dining area.Also a shout out to Larry, the host, for being exceptionally helpful! Always available to answer any questions in short order. We will definitely consider this apartment the next time we come to Arcata!

Solid Place

House/Room/Board was in good condition and clean, nice amenities. Location left a little to be desired, mainly due to Arcata having a noticeable homeless population - of which several would wander the street out front of the property

Should have visited that sandwich place up the street :(

I enjoyed myself thoroughly. The home was cozy and comfortable, in a part of town I quite like. I do not believe the listing notes a coin-operated washer/dryer, but that was only a slight inconvenience. I would happily stay again.

Comfortable, clean and inviting

Larry was a great host with clear and helpful communication prior to my arrival. I let him know that I was getting into town late and made sure to keep the porch light on so the unit was easy to find. It is centrally located to most things in Arcata and Humboldt County in general. The stay itself was very clean, quiet, well decorated, and I felt very at home. The location is safe with plenty of things to do within a 10 minute walk and is an extremely convenient stay. I had such an amazing time visiting Arcata again and will definitely be back in the future, hopefully this location will be available again. Fantastic stay and would absolutely do again. Thanks for your hospitality and helpfulness, Larry!

We had an amazing stay and this was a great home base for us to leave the car parked and explore the downtown/nearby nature or to drive to the ocean/redwoods nearby. Hosts answered all our questions promptly and the place with clean and cozy!

Very lovely stay!

This place was a lovely place to stay in; very clean, well taken care of, nicely decorated and a really comfy bed! We walked the two blocks to the Farmer's Market at the Plaza and it was centrally located for where we wanted to go. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay

I really enjoyed staying in this apartment in Arcata. The location is great, close to the plaza, not far from the University, plenty of choices of restaurants. Very quiet, clean, has everything you might need.

Great little place in a convenient location

Easy check in, good communication with owner, conveniently located 2 blocks from the square where we enjoyed Farmers Market and dining at a lovely Italian restaurant. Also 2 blocks from Safeway if you want to make your own meals. Fairly qiet location

Convenient

Close to lots that Arcata has to offer. Comfortable lodging, quiet, with lots within walking distance. We spent daily hikes in the Community Forest.

My Other Home

Everything that was promised was delivered. The apartment was perfectly situated for a walking vacation. Everything I needed was available at downtown markets, stores, and cafes. The Arcata Marsh, my favorite spot, was only about 4 blocks away. I stayed a whole month. The price was affordable and the weather cooperated most of the time. My friends had no trouble finding me if they came to pick me up.

Escape from the heat

Very comfortable accomadations. Centrally located and convenient freeway access. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.

We have 6 children and 8 grandchildren. Joy recently retired from a local hospital. Larry is a retired chiropractor. We enjoy spending time with each other, family and friends, and our avid cyclists and snow sports enthusiasts.
