Byggt som en vinter- och sommarflykt för ett par eller en liten familj, är denna vackra fyra säsong timmerstuga en av ett slag. Webbplatsen är extremt privat i en mycket vild och naturskön miljö på den berömda Chippewa Flowage ... bara 17 miles från Hayward. Flowage är en sjö på 17 000 tunnland med hundratals öar och 200 mil 95% obebyggd sjöstrand. Det är en av de mer berömda vildmarkssjöarna i norra Wisconsin och Hayward Lakes Region. Hemmet gör en underbar fyra säsong reträtt ... mycket privat ... med spektakulär och privat utsikt över vattnet !!

Stugan i Adirondack-stil ligger på ett stort 60 tunnland paket med ett överflöd av sjön fasad i en mycket privat trädbevuxen miljö. Utsikten från hemmet är 100% naturlig ... inget annat än träd och obebyggd strandlinje !!! Den stora verandan har fantastisk utsikt över sjön vilket gör att kvällsmiddagar verkar utomhus ... sjösidan eldstaden och stolar skapar en utmärkt plats för reflektion eller marsh stekt ... Den 3/4 mil privata trädbevuxna leden är fodrad med enorma tallar och är perfekt för lugna promenader ... det kök-stora rummet är inrett i en klassisk nordträddekor med många handgjorda rustika möbler. (Kabinen och mycket av de rustika möblerna byggdes av ägaren.) Loft-sovrummet på andra våningen har tre bäddar ... två dubbelrum och en enda ... är mycket rymlig och är fodrad med fönster som skapar vacker utsikt över sjön. Trägolv, rustika möbler och ett överflöd av fönster bidrar till Northwoods känsla av denna unika egendom.

Hemmet ligger på nordöstra hörnet av det mycket berömda och vilda Chippewa-flödet. Paddling eller båtupplevelser uppför floden är nära och enkla och en paddling med båt runt viken är ännu enklare. Det här avsnittet av sjön är verkligen ett vildmarksområde ... gör en vänster från bryggan och det är mil till nästa hem. Alla 17 000 tunnland Chippewa Flowage kan vara din båtlekplats !!

Med den berömda orten staden Hayward bara 17 miles away kan du välja mellan en mängd attraktioner i världsklass, restauranger och butiker. Om du vill koppla av privat med dina nära och kära är detta en plats som utstrålar familjetid. Oavsett om det är kanotpaddling uppåt den närbelägna floden, åka ut sjön till glassbutiken, en båttur till en av 10 sjöorter för en ostburgare, fånga färsk fisk till middag, gå på den privata skogsstigen, cykla på skogsvägar eller läsning på skärmen verandan, kommer du att kunna koppla av ostörd i denna unika Northwoods reträtt.

Vintern är en mycket speciell tid här ... ett riktigt vinterunderland. Snön är en orörd vit ... ensamheten på en nivå som tvingar dig att varva ner. Oavsett om det är en snöskor längs sjöns strand till floden ... en långsam längdresa längs den privata skogsspåret eller en ljus tänd middag framför elden ... vintern är en bra borttagningstid. Quiet, Peaceful Retreat

We enjoyed our long Labor Day retreat at Fred & Sue's cabin. The north woods cabin is beautiful and reflects that it was built with love and skill by the owners. It's a true get away!

Great little Cabin

Great little Cabin in the middle of the Woods. If you are looking for some peace and relaxation, this is the place. We loved the screened porch because the Mosquitoes were really bad when we got there !!! Our 2 dogs were in heaven, seeing & barking at all the different Wildlife. Fred is a great and generous Host, who will help you with all of your needs & questions. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your great cabin. Mark & Chris and the 2 dogs

Perfect Cabin

Cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Great solitude and a breathtaking view from the cabin & dock. Our only regret was not asking the owners for some fishing spots because we didn't catch much. Our fault! Thanks Fred & Sue. Tried to leave the cabin as clean as we found it, hope we didn't let you down! We will be back but next time with a fishing guide.

The Essence of White Magic

This was a winter retreat for our 26th anniversary with our 2 dogs. It was really a beautiful experience. The cabin is perfect for small groups ( large room with 3 large beds. The screened in porch and back porch were amazing and I can imagine how beautiful it is in summer and fall. We got snowshoes which was perfect. The flowage is lowered in winter so the side of banks are safe to snowshoe or cross country ski on ( we did both) Each night we marched out to a certain spot where a larger root/ driftwood was exposed with the lowering of the water. It was a great bench to watch the sunset. Deer would come out everywhere… the white terrain was magic to our soul. Our dogs were in heaven. Thank you for sharing your craft and lil slice of magic!!!

We stayed here for a XC ski weekend. Cabin was well appointed, very clean, and cozy. The woodstove was a welcome after a day of skiing!

Idyllic Cabin Retreat

My husband, dog an I spent New Years at this picturesque cabin. It’s like what is in the pictures but better. Practically everything in this place is bespoke. It’s got all the amenities you’ll need for a north woods getaway. The space makes you want to cozy up and relax around the fire. Truly a special place. A note about bringing a pet: no dogs allowed on furniture or beds. If you have a dog who you know won’t follow that rule, be prepared to pack a lot of covers and blankets. Fred was very responsive to all my questions, especially impressive during the busy holiday season. A suggestion to Fred would be to please confirm with the renter that it’s okay to bring a large dog before the window to get a full refund closes. I was a little panicked when I got the check in email asking to confirm that we were bringing a dog 3 days before the trip. It all worked out in the end, but I think would be helpful to reduce unnecessary stress for the renter. If you’re on the fence about booking this cabin, I’m telling you… book it. You won’t regret it. My husband and I are already talking about coming back next year.

Simple slice of heaven

Very simple place. Owner built the cabin and much of the furniture. Beautiful setting, easy access to trails, nature and walking out the door. Can’t count on WiFi, but that turned out to make for a better experience.

Relaxing cabin to get away from it all!

We enjoyed relaxing by the lake, having a fire, reading in the hammock on the porch, and dinner on the porch. It was a little bit creepy sleeping at night as our dogs woke us up quite a bit as they must have heard things. I snuck down stairs to turn the light on quick and found rodents scurrying across the floor and counters. So the dogs knew they were there and letting us know there were rodents in the house. I advise to keep food in fridge and cooler to keep the rodents and ants out. Other than that, it was a pleasant place to stay and a great location on the flowage. Perfect weather the weekend we went.

Little Cabin in the Woods

This is the perfect winter getaway. Easy to wind down, read, enjoy the fireplace, and disconnect!! Close to a variety of restaurants at local lodges. We want to come back in the summer and enjoy the amazing screen porch!!

Nice place but don't go for the trail

Received an email 4-5 days before the trip from the owner asking how many dogs we had (we were bringing 3.) This seemed to cause some discomfort although when I booked I never saw an area where we were supposed to enter the number of dogs. Not sure if Vrbo offers to enter that information and it's entirely possible that I missed the area where you enter number of dogs. Owner was very concerned about dog hair which seems more logical, in that case, to not allow dogs because they all have hair. We were most attracted to the trail offered on the property and found out at that 4-5 days before point that the trail was not available to us. So we had to drive 20 minutes each day to find a place to run the dogs. Again, I could have missed that info at the time of booking but I didn't see it anywhere prior to booking. Property had nice views, cabin was nice an clean. WiFi connection is unsecured so proceed with caution if you want to use WiFi. I would say this rental would be great if you were going with no dogs and a couple guys to fish and relax. Owner communicated when needed. I wouldn't choose this property if you were going for hiking and exercise as you will have to drive somewhere that is public property.

Beautiful cabin getaway

Absolutely delightful stay. Property and cabin are excellent and remote, had a blast hiking in the area, star gazing and fishing. Amazing getaway from the crazy of everyday life, but there were several small towns 20-30 minutes away with great food/coffee shops which we also enjoyed checking out. Kitchen was awesome(loved the gas stove) and beds were comfortable! Would love to re-book in the future. Truly a gem!

Peace and tranquility

Secluded peaceful location. Lovely handbuilt home. Bonfires, walks in the woods and do nothing kind of weekend. Just what we wanted. It was our second visit and highly recommend if you want to get away from daily life!

Great private cabin

Very private. Interesting handmade-looking construction and furnishings throughout. Well-furnished with cooking essentials. The huge screened porch, lake views, and cozy wood stove were highlights. We had our young kids with us (3 and 7) and had to take care around the steep stairs and a couple potential snag spots. Host provided detailed navigation and stay info to us on our check-in day - that worked for us but getting that info a day or two earlier would have helped.
