This 1-bedroom loft, filtered water view, cabin located on the Westside of San Juan Island is a one of kind offer. You can enjoy the sounds of nature or watch the eagles soar high above while relaxing in this cozy and comfortable space for a couple or small family. If you are lucky, you may even see orca, humpback, or minke whale, as all have been spotted.

The loft boasts a King bed and bathroom with shower. The downstairs couch is a full- sized hide-a-bed. The fireplace is for guest use, but firewood is not provided. There is a small powder room (sink and toilet) on the main floor.

Come and explore all that San Juan Island has to offer with hiking, whale watching, kayaking and beach combing nearby. The County Park and Lime Kiln State Whale Watching Park are just minutes away by car or bike. Then after your outdoor adventure, relax on the deck and watch the sun set from this private oasis.

Linens and towels are provided, there is no laundry on-site.

Please respect the owners' space in the main house below.

No BBQ on site.

Parking is located a short walk from the cabin and down a narrow, forested path.

A gem of a retreat location

The view can’t be beat and the walk through the neighborhood hood is beautiful. It’s a little removed from town but only by 15 minutes. We were lucky enough to see some orcas on our last day. We needed to contact property manager during our stay and they were nothing but great. The owners of the house were also very kind. It is worth noting that there is some construction going on right next door.

Great property

My wife, 18 year old son and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. My son said the sofa bed was comfortable and the master bed was also very comfortable. The owners, Walter and Cheryl, were very accommodating and friendly and the views were stunning. We’d stay there again!

Peaceful getaway

Gorgeous cabin

The pictures on the listing do not do this cabin justice. It was very clean when we checked in and the view is absolutely stunning. We saw a pod of orcas from the deck on our first night! We hope to return next year!

The entrance to the home could’ve been marked better. It took us a while to figure out which house it was also the steps to get in the house to step down into a large medium boulder step and then back up is somewhat treacherous. I would suggest making the entrance to the porch, a smoother transition we got along fine, however, had to be very cautious and I think in your marketing, you should be very clear that the home is not handicapped accessible, but it was a lovely stay and we were lucky enough to see orcas at the shoreline one morning, which was a beautiful thing Thank you for the stay. There were also ants in the helm and only one washcloth that we could find so it might be an area for improvement for your next guest, but we enjoyed it. It was a lovely visit. Thank you.

Waterfront property

One bedroom loft was perfect for a couple. Lots of privacy overlooking the water and close to town. The overlook had lots of charm and great for cooking in and eating on patio. Saw whales from the deck which was amazing. Highly recommend this retreat.

Island living

Lovely ocean setting and that lovely breeze! We had a wonderful time exploring the island and taking in some great nature ie: orcas dolphins ocean otter and grey herons ! The place was so cozy and comforting ! We appreciated the views so much that we couldn’t wait to get back to the cabin to see it! Overall wonderful experience added with a beautiful view! Maybe someday we will come again !

House with a soul

The view from the deck was extraordinary! We saw one whale within 30 minutes of our arrival and five more the next morning! We also loved the house with its art from natural materials!

Fabulous!

This little cabin was perfect for my partner, and I. It was clean, was in a wonderful location, and had fantastic views from the master bedroom. The outdoor area was beautiful. The decorations were quaint. I highly recommend!

"I can see Canada from my house"

Perfect location on the west side of the island with amazing sunset views (even better right after the sun sets). You can see Victoria B.C, accross the Haro Strait right from the house you are staying in. Amazing views right from your bed. The bed was sooooo comfortable. The property and area are so quiet and peaceful. The owner has created beautiful art pieces made from natural materials from the island. At times, the Orcas swim by for a free show. If you love nature and tranquility, this is the place to stay!

Only complaint: Virtually no access to wifi (which is the case for everyone, evidently on the northwest part of the island).

Private, relaxed and peaceful

While the property is peaceful and quiet, just minutes away there are so many fun, interesting things to do. We’ve stayed on several of the San Juan Islands, but San Juan Island itself is much more slow paced than most. The house has a beautiful, tranquil view, and the bed is extremely comfortable (and I am picky). We were on the island early and were thrilled to get a text message saying that the house was ready early (3 hours) and we were welcome to come anytime. The one recommendation I would make is, if you’re picky about your coffee, tea, or you like to drink a lot of water, buy a few jugs of drinking water. Although I know the house water is perfectly safe to drink, it does have a strong odor and taste. No big deal, just buy some water if you think that might bother you. A great place. We highly recommend it!
